Lionfur stretched herself out and laughed. "And not having as many responsibilities."

Oakfeather stretched a last time, then followed her scent to where she was laying down. "Hello," he said drowsily, sitting down next to Moonsong. "What's up?"

Snakepaw nodded, flicking his ears as he followed Adderstrike. "Are you mad at me?" he said in almost a whisper. 

Windrush shrugged," yeah. But what will we do with our lives now?" he asked with a laugh.

"The sky." Moonsong said in and irritated tone of voice.

"For what?" Adderstrike asked, "because that could influence the answer." he said.

Lionfur shrugged, smirking. "I have no clue."

Oakfeather looked at her, puzzled. She was usually quite upbeat. "What's wrong?" he asked in a cautious voice, tail tip flickering.

"Er- Tigerstar," Snakepaw said feebly. "That he's been contacting me and all..." He tried not to fidget and look uncomfortable as they strode into camp. 

Moonsong lashed her tail, "nothing." she said flatly.  ((<- MEANER!!!! XD))

Adderstrike shrugged, "it's not your fault. He tried to convert a lot of good cats before, Like Jayfeather." he said

"Okay then," he said simply. "I won't press, but it's better to talk about it." He yawned, and stretched out lazily again. Oakfeather's eyes flickered to Cougarfeather, who seemed to be sleeping, but he didn't wake her.

"Who's Jayfeather?" he said, confused. Snakepaw added on, "The last elders died before I was born, and I never knew my mum, so I never heard any stories." 

"If you say so." Moonsong said with a yawn.

"Jayfeatehr was ablind medicine cat from long ago. He wanted to be a warrior ever since he was a kit, and Tigerstar helped him become that, but he learned that he was destined to be a medicine cat, so he left Tigerstar in his past." Adderstrike said.

"Oh," was all Snakepaw muttered. "Okay." He looked around for Wishcomet, ears pricked, but she didn't seem to be around. She was probably still sleeping.

Oakfeather rolled his eyes, shaking out his fur again. "Didn't get much sleep last night," he muttered, curling up in a ball in the sunlight. "Hope you don't mind if I nap a little more." 

"not at all." Moonsong said absentmindedly.

Cougareatehr woke from her nap wiht a yawn. She stood up and stretched her muscles. SHe ganced around her, Moonsong was gone, but Oakfeather was nearby. She purred softly.

Moonsong padded through the forest, stealthily following a rabbit as it hopped around, looking for food. SHe used her nose to track its movements presicely. She crept closer and closer until....CRASH! She could smell the familiar scent of Wishcomet as the other shecat pounced at the rabbit, landing directly on its back. With a hearty purr, Wishcomet grabbed her kill and looked at Moonsong, "toll you I woul ger ir firs." she said through a mouthfull of fur.

Moonsong laughed, "you have to admit, i was close,"

Wishcomet shrugged, "not close enough!" she said.

( -tracks down all her cats- >:O RAWR )

Snakepaw only nodded, fidgeting under his mentors gaze, and padded into the apprentice's den. He was dead tired, but his fear of Tigerstar was keeping him awake. But now he had a fear while he was awake; that Adderstrike would tell someone about his dreams with Tigerstar, and he'd get kicked out of the camp...

"That's silly," he muttered under his breath as he curled up in his nest, missing Dreamcomet beside him. "That'll never happen..."

Poppypaw purred, head held high as she carried her finch into camp, Wolfstar right behind her. He dropped his own kill, a medium sized fish, into the fresh kill pile and purred, "Let's go get the rest, okay?"

They padded back out of camp, looking at Birdfall with an apologetic, and thankful, ex
pression in her eyes.

Sablepaw purred, padding away from the freshkill pile with a mouse in her jaws. She scented her way over to Cougarfeather, who was with Oakfeather, and sat down. putting her mouse on the ground, she said, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but can we do some training today, Cougarfeather?" She flicked her ears nervously. "We haven't trained in a while, and I think I should work on my fighting..."

Oakfeather smiled, rubbing his muzzle against her's affectionately, then nodded at Sablepaw, before padding away to find something important to do.

Lionfur stretched out, golden fur gleaming. "Hey," she said. "Want to go fishing?"

~

Limefeather padded out of the elder's den, black fur shining. She tried not to notice Adderstrike, but it was hard. Her anger with him was fading, as she couldn't keep coming up with ways to stay mad, and it was getting replaced with a hollow sense of sadness. She kind of missed him now.

But she'd never actually admit that, of course...

Birdfall gave Poppypaw a wink before padding into the warriors den for a short nap.

Cougarfeatehr purred, "why of couse." she said with a flick of her tail, "lets go." Cougarfeatehr padded out of camp waiting for Sablepaw to follow her.

Windrush smiled, "sure." he said, brushing against her as he stated to walk away toward the entrace of camp.

___

Adderstrike looked at Limefeatehr out of the corner of his eye, the corner of his mouth twitched like he was going to smile, but then Finchtail padded up to him with a grin. Adderstrike fixed her with a stony gaze, "why did you ever have to come back?" he muttered under his breath, walking past her without so much as a hello.

___

Dreamsplash set down the cobwebs in her den, then quickly went through her herbs, to see if any had gone bad. She grabbed all the bad ones and wrapped them in a dock leaf, snatching the leaf quickly and padding out of her den, past Adderstrike, who gave her a slightly curious glance and out of camp. she dug a small hole and dropped the herbs in, buring them just as quickly as she had dug the hole.

Moonsong and Wishcomet padded into camp, each carring a large rabbit. Moonsong set hers down, "well it doesnt count. I caught one too so we are equal."

"nope." Wishcomet teased, "I caught mine first, your losing your touch old timer." she said with a laugh.

"hey now!" Moonsong protested, "I'm not that old!" she realised that Wishcomet treated her no differently because of her handicap, along with many of the other warriors. but the apprentices had never known a Moonsong with sight. When she was a new warrior, some of the apprentice's had thought themselves better than her because she was blind. SHe was glad that being treated differently was finally behind her.

{ OMG shutup. XD I'm tired. }

Just as he was about to drop off into sleep, Snakepaw caught Wishcomet's scent, and made himself stand up. Shaking his fur out, trying to get rid of his weariness, he padded into the sunlight and walked up to her with a tired smile. "Hey there. Nice catch." He nodded to Moonsong. "Hey Moonsong."

Limefeather glanced at Adderstrike subtly, trying not to look too anxious, and then looked away just as quickly when Finchtail gave her an icy look. She sighed, and sauntered over to the fresh kill pile slowly, hoping, on the inside, that Adderstrike would notice her.

Poppypaw fluffed out her fur happily, smiling to herself as she and her mentor padded out of camp to retrieve the rest of their prey.

~

Lionfur shivered, following him. She anticipated this moment. She and Windrush would finally be able to go out hunting alone together.

~

Sablepaw got to her feet and padded after her mentor happily, tail tip twitching. 

Moonsong twitched her ears, "Hi Snakepaw." she said.

Wishcomet smiled, "thanks. Me and Moonsong had a competition to see who could catch a rabbit first, and I won that, then it became a competition to see whos rabit was biggest, she won that one." she said with a laugh. Moonsong just smiled.

Windrush s,iled at Lionpaw, at a loss for words momentarily. He didnt know what to say wihtout sounding like an idiot.

___

Cougarfeatehr padded to the training hollow, then faced Sablepaw, "Alright." she said, "hit me with your best shot." she said with a smile.

Lionfur purred, smiling back at him. "You look confused," she said quietly. Her eyes shimmered. "Were you planning to say something?"

Snakepaw smirked, clearly amused. "Sounds like a tie, if you ask me." He sensed something was a little off with Moonsong, but didn't want to say so. He flicked his ears, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "Anyways, Wishcomet, I was wondering if you wanted to go hunting." He smiled. "Adderstrike's off somewhere with Finchtail again, I think."

Sablepaw nodded, a little confused for a moment, then decided on a plan. She dashed at her mentor, feinted right, and then lunged at her side. But she misjudged the distance, and slammed into the dirt.

She sat up, ruffled. "I'd be better off as a medicine cat." she hissed unhappily. "I can't see where you are!" 

Windrush blinked in suprise, "Er- no." he stammered, feeling stupid.

Wishcomet smiled, "sure, as long as we don't go after rabbits." she said wtih a laugh,

Cougarfeather chuckled softly, "no. You have the spirit of a warrior, now try again, use your nose and eard, they can be more useful then eyes. Sometimes our eyes play tricks on us." she said.
