Soul sighed and nipped her tail. She does this when she is is nervous or ashamed. Her voice came out as if it were cracked. "She does have proof, little cookie monster. A Pidgey claimed that I attacked her. But I didn't." She curled back her lips and snarled.

"That doesnt change the fact that we aren't stone statues right now. If you were truly a bad guy, you would have killed me, and not have taken it easy on me during our battle. Right?" Jade asked, thinking about the power of the accused and what she was actually shown during their battle. She had known from the beginning that she couldn't win. Something very wrong was happening here and she had to get to the bottom of it.

"I could have killed you, or turned you to stone, or finished you off in one move in our battle. But I didn't. Well, I'll leave now. I've got to find shelter, water, food...you know. All that stuff." She turned and slowly trotted away. Tears were streaming down her face-she just couldn't help it. Her life was ruined. She knew Jade could see her tears. But it didn't matter. She lost the very last bit of pride in herself.

Soul laughed a bit. "That's cute." She said quietly. She swerved out of Jade's way and began walking again. But then she stopped, looked back toward Jade, and turned around. She went slowly back to her. "Well, you may be able to help. And I have an idea. Wait here!" She bounded toward the tribe. They were all pretty stunned about Soul's dissapearance. When she walked in they all stopped. "I told you that you are exiled!" He growled. "Shock!" He growled. A enormous Raichu stomped out of the crowd. He already knew what to do. He pounced on Soul and ripped a small chunk out of her ear. There was now a V shape in her ear. The blood ran down to her eyes, covering them in a sticky red substance. "Childs play." She laughed. She shook her head and got blood all over her victm. Shock barely managed to claw at her eye. It made a deep scar run down her eye, and it was going to be there for life, but she didn't care. She leaped onto a nearby rock and jumped into the air and landed flat on Shock. She bit deep into his throat and clawed at his belly. While he was almost fainted, Soul quickly formed a shadow ball and threw it at Shock. Just to make sure he was fainted, she bit into his neck once more. She raised her head, her teeth still dripping with blood. "Who's next?" She growled. "I want one thing. A Pokeball. Give me it, and I'll leave you alone." A Pidgey rushed over and grabbed one Pokeball. She dropped it at Soul's paws. "Good girl." She smiled. Then she trotted out of camp.

She ran to where Jade was, the Pokeball still in her mouth. She dropped it and spoke. "Where now?"

Soul smiled a bit, and nodded gruffly. She couldn't speak with the Pokeball in her mouth. She sat down for a moment, and used her hind leg to stratch her ear, which was difficult because of the V-shape nick in it. She dropped the Pokeball and when it started to roll away, she whipped out her paw and snatched it back. "Sit." She said to Jade. "I want to show you something." Sould turned her head toward her neck fur. She grabbed out a tiny sack-like thing. She used one of her massive claws to open it, and poured out the contents. A picture and a necklace with one large claw, one large tooth, one small claw, and one small tooth attached. "That." She nodded to the picture. "Is my family. The black Absol is me, the Mightyena my sister, the other Mightyena my dad, the white Absol my mom, and the Poochyena my brother..." She closed her eyes and a slight tear fell. "My sister killed my brother and mom. Then the morning after they died dad left... then my sister attempted to kill me. She ruined our family...ruined it...I killed her for all that she did. But her friend must of found and revived her, because she's alive alright..." She paused and put the picture back in the sack. "That is the last there is of my mom and brother. After I found them dead on floor and my sister above them with blood dripping from her mouth, I knew she was evil. Most of their body was destrored, but these weren't." She pointed her claw to the teeth and claws on her necklace. "So here they are...sometimes I wear this for good luck, so I know that they are always with me..." She put on the necklace and quickly changed the subject. "Yeah, that sounds safe enough."

"Oh... Uh, that sounds rather disturbing." Jade blinked with surpirse. Not at the story, but how the story affected her. Such a terrible thing to happen to anybody. She had to bl
ink back the tears. "Uh, anyway this is Three Twins' Cross. See how there are three sets of trees, each in pairs of two... They cross to make little arches, hence the name. Anyway. Always go to the one that has the sunset in line with it. I know this path well enough to not need it, but you can find another way to remember it. It's here this second one. It conceals a hidden path that will lead you to the tunnels. It's only a little while now." She said, picking up the pace as if she were running from the haunting story.

((Wow... it fails. XD))

"Alright." She kept a steady pace and trotted after Jade. After a while she realized she had forgot her Pokeball. She growled and spoke through clentched teeth, "one sec." She turned around, grabbed the Pokeball, and ran back to Jade. A song played in her head and she began humming. Then she muttered the words under her breath. Then she spoke the words clearly. "My precious one, my tiny one, lay down your pretty head. My dearest one, it's time, to go, to bed..." She stopped and looked at Jade. "My mother used to sing me that song at bed time." She said quietly.

Soul laughed a bit and licked Jade's nose gently. "Just keep licking. It should be better soon." As they walked further, Soul stepped into a hole and fell down in pain. Dirt got in her mouth and nose. "I think I broke it..." she whimpered. "Let me try and put weight on it-AGGHHH!" She screamed. She fell down in agony. Suddenly she yelled, "RUN JADE, RUN!!!" A helicopter hovered above and dropped a net. The net had four weights-one on each corner. It dropped directly on to Soul, pinning her down. "Go with out me, Jade. I have a broken paw anyway. I have no where to go. This is my destiny..."

Soul laughed a bit and licked Jade's nose gently. "Just keep licking. It should be better soon." As they walked further, Soul stepped into a hole and fell down in pain. Dirt got in her mouth and nose. "I think I broke it..." she whimpered. "Let me try and put weight on it-AGGHHH!" She screamed. She fell down in agony. Suddenly she yelled, "RUN JADE, RUN!!!" A helicopter hovered above and dropped a net. The net had four weights-one on each corner. It dropped directly on to Soul, pinning her down. "Go with out me, Jade. I have a broken paw anyway. I have no where to go. This is my destiny..."

Jade yelped, turning to go but something in her told her to stay. "No! I have a mystery to solve and I can't solve it with out you." She growled rushing over to bite threw the net but the rope was too thick and the weights too heavy for her to move alone. She pounced back a little, bringing the helicopter in to her view. Building up energy, the blue rings on her body began to glow brighter and brighter. She closed her eyes for a moment before they snapped open, a glazed ex
pression taking over. Suddenly she let out all the energy in the form of a shadow beam aimed directly for the helicopter. Hitting it's target, the helicopter would have trouble staying aloft and would have to make an emergency landing. Quickly she began to nudge Soul out of the net. "Come on, it's right there. Just crawl with out your paw like this. She could already feel her body begin to weaken, her vision blurring and her breathing becoming labored. She was going to faint. Not before I save Soul.
