Four looked over at One's alert ex
pression and seeing her ears pricked up and listening.  He decided to zoom in on the sound and listen as well.  Dog problem?  Cat dead?  Which cat?

(Fail.)

Three gripped Five by the scruff [sorry for PP :c] and sprang down on the trash can, trying to keep her safe.  Six followed Three and Five, feeling sort of left out.  Three continued deeper into the alleyway and came out the other side, Six at his heels, struggling to keep up with the much larger cat.  He followed, behind the row of buildings, at the same level as the West Half cats but on the other side of the building.  He then went inside another alleyway and deposited Five and, in turn, Six in a small box with its open side facing up and he tackled Rill.

Four leapt after One in a mad dash after her and the West Half cats.  He was soon side-by-side with One, barely out of breath.  This was exhilarating!  Four loved the feel of adventure and excitement.

Four hissed and ran faster, leaping and grabbing onto Ivian's tail.  Ivian yowled and slowed slightly, though she bore throug the pain.  But being slammed against the ground repeatedly was no fun for Four.  Four bit down as hard as he could, but was shaken off.  However, Ivian was starting to slow and her tail was bleeding and a bit odd-looking.  He needed some help.  Quickly regaining his composure, he began running after Ivian once more.  They were getting deeper into West Half territory.

Three growled and attempted pinning down Rill.  "Don't lie, cat," he hissed, and grabbed onto her neck and wouldn't let go.  Now that Rill knew, she could tell Kieser and that would be trouble.

Four's ears turned as he saw Rill.  "First, we need to take care of that one.  And then we go out and find Two, Five, and Six."  His tail flicked with a bit of irritation.  He was starting to realize things will never run smoothly when you're the Six.

Three didn't let go of his death grip on Rill's neck.  He kept biting harder with every word she spoke.  The taste of blood seeped into his mouth, almost metallic in taste.  He would keep on holding until she died.  She was evidence.  Evidence cannot be present.

Three let go of Rill as her body went limp and her eyes became dull.  Hearing One's voice, he went over to the box where Five and a frightened Six were.  He pulled them out. [Lol sorry for all the PP ><']  "Here are Five and Six.  Where's Two?" Three said.

Four stood by One.

Three sighed and said, "Rill and Irian, the two cats who found us out, are dead.  But we still have to get to the leader, Kieser."  He didn't give an answer about safety and looked out at One, Six starting to follow her.  "C'mon, let's follow One and Six."

Four trotted, a little bit ahead of One.  Hopefully Two was still at Taco Bell, or else there was going to be a problem.

Four jumped up on the trash can by Taco Bell and looked back at One, leaving room for another cat to jump on as well.  "Lead the way," he said smoothly.

Six went over to One.  "Can we ever use our old names?  In..." - she looked around for any witnesses - "secret ?" She said the second part in a whisper, phrasing everything just like a child.

Three felt a sort of connection to Five.  Not romantic.  More like she was his little sister, and he felt that he needed to protect her.  Like he was the responsible big brother that made everything alright.  Three had already set a basic role for himself in the Six - the caretaker.  Six and Five, he felt, were his responsibility.  And of course, fighting for all of their lives was included.  He felt that One, Two, and Four just weren't that way.  However, Three felt closer to Five than Six.  Six seemed to want to be treated like a 'big girl', or at least be with the other cats.

Three picked up Five in his jaws and got her up to the roof.  Six jumped and missed, her measly attempt showing failure.  She jumped again and got her paws to grab on to the top of the lid, and Six tried to pull herself up.  But she couldn't yet lift the rest of her weight up.  She started to slip, and Three went over and took Six by the scruff, getting her on top the rest of the way.  "Good job," he purred.  Six nodded in reply with a smile.  She knew she couldn't get this next jump and Three knew as well, so he hauled her up there, too.

Four leapt up with ease, his muscles flexing as he did so.  His tail flicked with great irritation at Two's words.  "That's what you're going to say?" he hissed.  "We're the Six, not the Five.  So you've got to help us all stay alive, too."

"Stupid cat!" Four hissed.  "We can survive but only if we try to survive.  At this rate, I'm sure you're going to be the only one dying while the rest of us save the East Half and you're the one who'll go down as a coward!"  Four's fur began to bristle.

Three nodded in reply to Five's thank-you.

Four's fur stood on end.  "Shut up, Two!" he hissed.  "I am awake and I think you're not.  Maybe a douse of water for the wussy *censored*?"  His anger grew with each angry reply.  "Do you think all of them back home would want us to die?  I'm doing this not just for myself but for everybody else.  And I'm betting Five and Six aren't so happy to hear what you're saying either!  Do you have an ounce of knowledge in your head?"  His tail swished and claws came out, scraping onto the roof's scratchy texture.  "Our fate is what we choose it to be." Four hissed out his final words as he turned his back and went to the far side of the roof, laying down, fluffed up with anger.

"No," Three said.  "We.... We'll be fine."  I really hope that I don't become a liar.
