So, Addison.

I'm Nike. I'm a dyslexic seventeen-year-old who goes to Mary Sue's Academy for troubled teens. You could say I'm troubled, yeah, but I can't change it. I don't know what to write in these stupid introduction letters, so let's start the convo we're supposed to do.

You like Coldplay?

After Addison read the pen pal letter, she laughed. But caught herself."Dyslexic?" She smirked as she said that outloud, by how he even brought that up. But then realized, he might laugh at the color of her hair. So she immidiatly stopped. She smirked as she read, 'I don't know what to write in these stupid intro letters'. It felt good, to know he felt the same way. When she finished reading, she grabbed a piece of paper, and pen and started to respond.

Hey Nike (Again...)

Lol. I have to say, I like the idea of you not having much care to this whole 'Pen Pal' thing either. Because I am not really all that 'excited' about it. No. I'm not really into music. So I don't really like 'Cold play'. I'm guessing you like them? Maybe I can try some of there songs...I'm more into writing. No. I'm not into writing songs though. :P

It was in the afternoon, after school, and Nike was flicking through the TV channels, his usual Friday afternoon routine. His sister, Diana, walked in through the door, flipping through a stack of letters. "Nike, there's mail for you," She said. "It's from..." She squinted at the writing. "Addison? Who's Addison?" Nike groaned at snatched the letter from her hands, tearing it open. "You sound like my wife," He muttered.

           The next day (Were doing the UNLTIMATE TURBO time skipping XD )) after school, Addison checked the mail again. Seeing that her pen pal responded, she sighed and opened it up. Then read:

Hey Addison,

I hate Coldplay(laugh). Just wondering if you're one of those chicks who like to listen to stupid pop music, you know? My sister writes. A lot. You know what, she takes up half the house with her books. I don't write, I have dyslexia(remember?), so it's really hard to read. And write, for that matter.

Nike, your penpal. I guess. 

After Addison read it, she was quite shocked. If Addison had Dyslexia, she'd die. She wouldn't be able to read or write? Her life would be over. She started to realize this whole pen pal thing, was kind of getting fun. It felt good to talk to someone, even though she had no idea who this person even looked like.

Hey Nike,

Gosh :/. After I read that, I was actually really shocked. I already know, that if I had dyslexia, I would die. Reading, and writing is practically all I do...And I am like your sister in that area. I have atleast 2 book shelves, full of novels, I have or haven't read yet. :P

Have you always had dyslexia ever since you knew how to read/write?

Nike paraded around his house, shuffling through mail(mostly his sister's xD)while arguing on the phone with his friend. "I told you, carrots-" he dropped the whole stack on the floor. "Oh, hang on. I'll have to call you back." The first one his hand made contact with was addressed to him, so he tore it open and began to read it.

 Hey Nike,

YOUR SO RIGHT!!! PROBABLY EVEN LONGER THEN A YEAR :O ))

          The next day (again...) Addison searched through the mail. She was, like before, starting to have fun with this little 'pen pal' thing. But she hasn't admitted that to her teacher yet. But for some reason, she could tell that her teacher could see. After clas.s she said something like, 'I bet your enjoying this. Someone to talk to, no?'. This same teacher, has been pestering her about meeting friends. And Addison would usually ignore it.

           Addison finally found an envelope that said 'RETURN TO SENDER' on the front. Smirking, she already knew it was her, by the handwriting. She quickly ripped it up, and read :

When I was born I was diagnosed with dyslexia, so I've had it forever. I guess my sister and I are complete opposites. Anyways, how old are you? I never knew your age.

Addison smirked, as she got a fresh piece of paper, and a pen. Then wrote,

Nike,

I'm about to be seventeen ( I think. I'll have to check her bio, in a sec) in about a month...Yay? lol. You said you were seventeen, right?

Nike was again, arguing on the phone with his friend. "I said, it's impossible for pigs to grow wings over the generations! How am I-" His conversation was interrupted by Diana, who was waving a letter in front of his face. Nike sighed, and said, "I'd have to call you back...again." He clicked off the phone and grabbed the letter out of the air.

I'm sorry...I'm kind of lazy, and I am not THAT creative as to think of what Addison could do differently, everytime she gets the letter. SO its like all the same..Her  looking through the mail BAHAHAHAHA))

           Addison had much more mail today. She scrumaged (Is that a word? I'll ask my bestie :P LOl jk) through the pile to look for something that was from her penpal. When she found it, she smiled, and opened it up.

Yeah, I'm seventeen. When's your birthday? Once it crosses my sister's mind, she'll probably make me send you a birthday present.

Addison rolled her eyes. The last thing she needed was a birthday present. She never liked the attention, she got from birthdays. And who really wanted to celebrate HER being born in the first place? She didn't even like the idea.

Nike,

My birthday is September 16, Yeah, less then a month, but whatever. lol. And let your sister know, that I don't need a present. :) When's your birthday? Just for future referance, I guess? I dunno.

Nike drummed his fingers on the coffee table, bored. His sister was making him reply to all the mail today, so she went to go fetch it, but she hasn't come back yet. He checked his watch one more time before running a finger through his hair and walking out the door to look for her. He thought he saw a flash of black, out of the corner of his eye, but he decided it was his imagination. His sister was on the ground, a pile of mail scattered around her. After about half an hour of explaining and reasoning, they decided that she just had some kind of spaz attack and they should be fine, so Nike took the letters into the house and began to reply to them, one by one, starting with Addison's.

Pssshh. My sister is a stubborn brat, so I guess I'll have to send you a present anyways. My birthday is on the twenty-second of October. Anyways, what would you want for your birthday? Probably books, I guess.

Addison, for the first time, in a couple days, finally saw her mom. She did a quiet, "Hey mom" But she cut her off by saying "Whos this Nike kid?" Addison shrugged, "My pen pal...School's making me do it." Her mom started to open the envelope, and read it. Frowning, Addison walked over, and took it from her hands. Trying to be gentle, but it's hard to be gentle with someone, who's never gentle back. Then, with the letter, she ran up to her room to read it.

I guess that would be fine.Books, is what I usually want. But if you have a choice, you don't have to. Honest. I've never liked birthdays... And if we are still talking by your birthday, what would you want? If your giving me something, be expecting something back, on yours. ;)

Diana walked in with more mail(yes, he's still not done...xD HE HAS DYSLEXIA OKAY?). "Here. There isn't as much, but I figured if you're still replying, you'd probably want to do this pile, too. And here, one for you." She said, handing him a letter. He took it without hesitation and began to scribble down a reply.

Good. Books it is. I guess I would like anything, I never really thought of it until you brought it up.
