Okay, now the girl was getting interesting. Smiling in her direction, I lifted my brow and said, "How can wolves make there own music?"
I was going to ask her what was wrong when she gasped, but I guessed I just shouldn't ask since she smiled back at me.

Fenris grinned, seeing that Nicholas was interested. "We sing to the moon," she said.
"We howl up at the sky. When all of our howls combine, it harmonizes. Pups sing with their mothers. Mates sing with their partners, and the alpha sort of leads us." She tried her best to explain it, but she thought it was still a bit difficult to understand, given that Nicholas wasn't a werewolf like herself.

I laughed slightly, the image of wolves in a group 'singing' and 'harmonizing' in my head. "Yeah, you should."
I added, "So what's your favorite kind of music - of the kinds you've heard from that 'box'?"

Fenris thought a moment, scratching her head and pulling her knees up to her chest, her long legs curled up in front of her. "I don't know what you mean by 'kinds' of music, but I like this one where this girl is singing about bullets bouncing off of her, and she says she's titanium." She smiled.
"I don't listen to the music box very often, though, because humans don't normally encounter me."

"So you seriously haven't been around people in like... A long time?" She still hasn't told me how long she hasn't been without any other human, but I could at least keep the conversation going without getting her upset. "Don't get offended or anything, but... like you probably have social problems since you only talk to wolves. You sure you wanna' go to town?"

Fenris clenched her jaws, feeling her sharp canine teeth lightly press against her cheek. "I'll be fine in town. Wolves are very social animals. Sure, I may be a bit stiff, but I have no social problems, Nicholas." She sighed, releasing the tension in her jaws.
"I guarantee you that I will be fine. I won't do any major wolfish behavior." She looked over to him, one of her blue eyes peeping out from under her snowy hair.

I sighed. I was kind of hoping the girl would all of a sudden roll on her back like a dog would while we were in town. It would be close to completely hilarious. But, no major wolf behavior was nice too... "Wolves are social animals, but seeing as you haven't had a conversation with another human before, you'd be slightly... Awkward?"

Fenris became flustered, her cheeks turning pink, contrasting with her pale skin. "Wolves talk just like humans. Just like you and whatever others. Though we may sound different, our language principles are the same." She sighed, trying to calm herself down.
"This is why I stayed away from humans.... They make too many assumptions..." She looked down at her lap, regretting wanting to go into town for the moment. This guy Nicholas just seemed to never shut up, or stop angering her. He was constantly biting at her with questions, unknowingly so, though, as he seemed oblivious to that fact.

I lifted my eyebrows in her direction. And this was why I didn't spend my time with girls way to much. They were too... Annoying.
"Fine. Whatever."
I mumbled with a shrug. Before finding a smart remark, the town came into view. "Here it is. Where do you want to stop by first?"

Fenris sighed like a dog and placed her head in her hands. Not long after she did the motion, she heard Nicholas speak up again. They were in the town, she noted as she looked out of the window onto the cityscape.
Nicholas had no clue how clueless Fenris was when it came to city life. She'd never used money, given that she'd never bought anything, and she didn't fully understand the principle of buying things. However, other than her lack of business knowledge, she was pretty informed.
She really didn't know where to go. She didn't know the names of any stores, or of any of the restaurants. Her ghostly blue eyes looked over at Nicholas with neither negative or positive emotion and she said, "Why don't you choose first?"

I lifted my eyebrow in her direction as I stopped for a red light. "But you have to. I don't want to bring you somewhere you'll be bored at."
Oblivious to the realization that she wouldn't know where to go, I still gave in. With a sigh, I said, "Oh alright. We'll go to the outlets so I can just bring you to every store to get your... Necessities."
I said, as I pulled into the parking lot of the outlet's. Tons of shops all connected in one big building. "It's kind of like a mall. But you walk on the sidewalk to get to each store. Have you ever been to a mall? Girls love malls..."
I shrugged, realizing she probably never even heard of one. Getting out of the truck, I waited for her while looking at all the stores to see which one she would like.

Fenris exited the car and, to her dismay, her white hair earned her a few bewildered looks from passersby. She simply kept her head down and supressed the urge to growl at the people who simply stared. Had they never seen white hair before? Was it that strange of an occasion to see a woman with snowy locks? Fenris remembered seeing the white strands of hair on the heads of elderly humans. Perhaps it was only common on the older humans, she guessed.
She listened to Nicholas's talking, taking in the important information. So this place was called a mall.... Her head tilted. She'd heard twins that went camping out in the woods once talking about a mall, and how they wished they would've gone there instead of some 'stupid' forest. To Fenris, calling her home stupid was like a personal insult, and she made sure to scare the girls in the middle of the night with one of her long, loud howls.
Smiling at the memory of how the twins screamed, she came back to reality. A few of the stores had feminine manequins side by side with male ones, and she chose one that had the majority of the clothes being earthy tones. Pointing a finger at the store's logo, she said, "That one."
She couldn't pronounce the name on the store's sign, but she knew that it was interesting in the way it was spelled, and that it seemed quite popular by the number of people flowing in and out. Luckily for her, the store seemed big and not too crowded.

I went in step with her as she came out of the car. As people gave odd glances in our way, I lifted an eyebrow, not really understanding what was going on. I looked to the store that she pointed at, already knowing what it would contain. Even wolves that were girls liked clothes.
"That's a good idea. Wouldn't want you walking around with my mom's clothes all day."
I said as I patted my pocket lightly to see if I had enough cash to go in. Obviously, I did, seeing as I had full of allowances in there. Going to the store, I opened the door and waited for her to go inside.

Fenris slowly became accustomed to the strange looks that people gave her. She walked normally, without any signs of discomfort due to the stares, and smiled as Nicholas mentioned that he didn't want her walking around in his mom's clothes all day.
As he opened the door for her, she entered, and was stunned when the smell of both men and women's perfume hit her in the face. There were pictures of male models on the walls, with the majority of them being shirtless. She inspected their muscles before moving on, not wanting to seem out of place in the human store.
She began to walk around, waiting to make sure that Nicholas would follow her.

I smiled. Fenris seemed like she was getting comfortable with the humans all around. Hopefully she'd say something if she was about to throw up from claustrophobia or anything.
"Go ahead and look around. They have dressing rooms here to if you wanna' try stuff on. We just have to figure out your size."
And I had to figure out what she'd like. Looking at the endless racks of shirts, pants, skirts, and everything else, I felt just as lost as she might feel.

Fenris scratched her temple and moved towards a rack that held pants for women. They were tight-legged, meant for people with absolutely no butt- a classification that Fenris's curvy figure didn't meet- and mainly consisted of small sizes.
Wrinkling her nose in disgust, Fenris could tell that she wouldn't fit in those just from looking at them. Moving to the next rack, which contained shorts, she found a pair that looked like they would fit her.
"Well, I know that my size probably isn't found over on that rack," she said, pointing to the rack that held the pants that she'd previously looked at.
"These seem like they'd fit me." She gestured to the shorts and sighed. "Size seven, I guess." She looked at the number on the hanger.

I followed behind Fenris as she looked at the clothes, chewing on my lip and trying to find anything to help.
"Great. The dressing room is right there. I'll wait here."
I said, standing outside of the dressing room door.

Fenris absent-mindedly grabbed a light blue shirt with a white dove on it and walked into the dressing room. She hadn't even bothered to look at the size. Luckily for her, the shirt rack was only a few steps away from the dressing room door.
Stripping out of the old clothes, Fenris took a moment to look at herself in the mirror. It had been years since she'd last seen herself in human form. She'd grown quite a bit since then, she noticed.
Diverting her eyes from her reflection, Fenris slipped on the shirt, happy that it fit nicely, and then slipped on the shorts. They also fit, though they were a bit short for her long legs. Either way, she guessed that it was how the garment was made, given that she saw several other females walking around the store in short shorts.
She walked out of the dressing room with the clothes on: a form-fitting shirt and a pair of denim shorts. Turning to Nicholas, she asked, "Is this how it's supposed to fit?" She turned around and did a full circle.
