Lakara straightened out and squared her shoulders.
"This is a huge deal. You don't know how big this is, your eyes... you glowed, you are the avatar! This is unbelievable!!"
Lakara ran her fingers through her hair and paced around.
"It's not funny, it's serious. You can't let anybody know. Most of all, don't. Get. Mad. Or sad, for that matter."
A light popped in on Lakara's head.

Lakara made a sign of 'crazy' by rolling her finger in the air by her ear.
"... Yeah. Last time, the Earth King CAPTURED Avatar Aang and tried to MAKE him go into Avatar mode. And... if you are killed in Avatar Mode, the Avatar cycle is BROKEN. Trust me, DONT tell anyone. It's a secret... for now."

THIRD, How dare you call ANY earth nation person crazy, I may hate the king but he is still a earth bender. Tears came to Lakara's eyes and she ran out into the night, hoping Torin wouldn't come after her.
She knew Torin COULD kill her and knew she WOULD.
She ran far out and kept running until she was sure she would never see Torin again.
She climbed a tree, exhausted, and slept there for the night.

Lakara woke up, aching all over. She groggily rubbed her eyes and quickly jumped down from the tree. She fell over, weak.
She started walking as soon as she got up and went to the shore of the Earth Kingdom. She sat down and dangled her feet in the water, looking for a boat she could swipe.

She walked over to the earth king castle and told one of the guards that she had something to say.
