Eddie nodded slowly, and understandingly looked back at Jamila. "That's horrible. There are way better punishments that starving someone!" He ran a hand through his hair. Oh, how he missed his old life. His parents loved him dearly, his friends at school were better then any others. But no. Now his life was falling apart. His loving parents are gone, and his friends couldn't visit since he was so far away from where he used to live. He felt so alone.

Before he could say anything else to Jamila, the man from before, Terry, started to tell the other 'workers' there, that it was time for them to go back to the rooms. He watched as the little kids got to leave first, in a straight line. One kid wasn't watching where he was going, and accidently bumped into one of the gaurds. Before the little boy could apologize, he got slapped. "Watch it!" Eddie heard, as he couldn't bare to watch any more.

Finally, after about 5 more minutes, it was time for Eddie and the people at that table to get up and leave. He stood up, and looked at Jamila. "Where do I go?"

 Jamila looked over at him. "Okay, well just follow me until we have to go to different rooms...Then just follow that rest of the boys and hopefull you will be able to figure things out." She said standing up. She began to walk out of that room and went into a long dark hall made out of stones. It had lanterns lining it for this place was made before lights and other inventions such as that and no one really wanted to bother with it. Jamila followed the long line of people until they started to file into two different lines, on of boys and the other for girls.

((So what exactly is going to happen? are they going to try to escape somehow or are they going to stay there?))

Eddie followed Jamila, like she suggested, then followed the guys. After the line split, he walked along the halls with them. They had rooms. 4 people for each room. Before he could ask someone where he was supposed to go, he felt a tap on his shoulder. "This way." Was all the gaurd said, then showed him the room he will be staying in.

There was only 1 other guy in this room. He glared at Eddie, as he walked in and asked emotionless to the gaurd, "Who's this?" The gaurd didn't respond, and only closed the door behind Eddie. Leaving Eddie alone with this kid. The kid jumped down from the bed he was sitting on, and gave Eddie a wicked grin. "Your that knew kid. Eddie?" Eddie grinned back, though he had no idea why he wanted to be friendly with this guy. "Yes. I'm Eddie. ANd you are?" The kid frowned, and walked back to the bed. Got on it, and layed down. "Griffen." Was all he said. Before staying silent. "Cool." Eddie said, while standing awkwardly. Finally, he heard Griffen's voice again. "The bed on the right is yours." Eddie nodded and this time didn't respond, as he walked to the bed on the right. Luckily, it was by a window. Which means he could stare out. It was dark now. And freezing. And by judging how the people treated the orphans, Eddie guessed that there weren't many blankets to keep everyone warm. He frowned, and layed back in the bed. Letting his head fall on the not- so - comfy - pillow. He sighed, and closed his eyes.

We can just say that it is the evening and the sun is going down.XD))

 Jamila sat down on her bed and layed down. She stared up at the ceiling while the rest of her room mates talked quietly. She sat up as she heard someone yelling outside and walked over to the door and cracked it open to look outside. She saw one of the girls standing there being screamed at by a guard for leaving her room. She told him that she needed to go see her younger sister, but the guard didn't listen and instead smacked her across the face and ordered her to go back to her room. The girl was now pleading to see her sister who Jamila knew was one of the younger girls who had been terribly ill over the past week.

 Jamila turned around and walked back over to her bed. She heard more yelling before she heard tiny footsteps from the girl as she headed back towards her room. Jamila sat at the end of her bed and tapped her nails against the hard wood frame as she watched her three room mates continue to talk.

 Jamila got back up and stood by the door. She listened for a little while to make sure no one was around before opening the door and going outside. She ran through the long halls until she came to the lunch area and then ran into some more halls until she came the the large doors that went outside. She knew that there were guards on the other side the doors so instead she went for the side door which was less likely to be guarded because no one ever used or even noticed the door. She opened it and looked around to make sure no one had followed or had seen her. She walked outside and looked around yard. It was dark and she wouldn't have been able to see very good if it hadn't been for the large full moon that rose up above the streets and buildings. She walked over to the two large gates. They had long bars running up and down which were spread up just enough for her to squeeze through. She looked around once more and watched the guards talk and laugh and pretty much not pay much attention to anything around.
