Ted nodded and slowly got up when they were dismissed. Members of Alpha Company were assigned 3D maneuvering gear. Lane adjusted his gear, making sure the gas tanks were completely filed. Once the cpany was ready, they were put on transports and sent quickly towards the Trost district.

The transport stopped and lane got off with everyone else. The captain ordered everyone to their positions and it was already chaos. Terrified civilians were trying to get onto the transports while garrison members tried to tell them that there wasn't enough room for any baggage. Squads 3 and 4 ran, taking their places with the cannons. "Titan incoming!!!" Someone screamed. The civilians started to panic more, each trying to cram their way onto the transports while not losing their families at the same time.

"Daddy!!!" A little girl cried as she dropped her doll, but her father, who was carrying her, didn't stop running to the transports. A 15 meter Titan came running around the corner, heading straight for the transports. Garrison members were behind it, trying to catch up, but it was too fast. "D*** it. It's an aberrant." Lane cursed. "Stay here." He told Yuki and the others quickly. His grappling hooks shot out and he pulled out his sword, whizing towards the Titan.

Lane let the Titan go past him and them attached one of his grappling hooks to its neck. He pulled himself close, starting to spin quickly till it was impossible to tell him apart from his blades(advanced move. Only a few try to do it). He cut through the nape of the titan's neck with no problem. It stumbled forward then collapsed, dead. People screamed and continued trying to get on the transports. A little boy looked around, trying to find his mother. "Mommy! Mommy!"

Yuki clenched her jaw this is chaos... She thought and spotted the boy. She looked at lane the ran over picking the kid up putting him on the transport "you'll find your parents at the safe zone there are soldiers there that can help you"she said softly then returned to her post

The little boy nodded and a kind old woman gave him a blank. Lane swung back over and joined the squads. "Sir this is madness!" A cadet shouted. "When are we retreating?!" "We retreat when the job is done!" Lane said angrily

(Lane's Titan form is tall for a Titan. With the exception of the Colossal Titan, the tallest titans are 15 meters while Lane's Titan form is 17 meters) "Get back to your posts." The captain shouted to the cadets that wanted to leave. "Sir please!" One begged as three more Titans came around the corner, moving much slower than the last. "He said get back to your posts!" Lane shouted. He froze. Pain pulsed through his chest. 'Something's wrong.' He thought before collapsing to his knees
