Autumn heard some kind of loud smack noise, but wasn't sure what it was... She shrugged her shoulders... She sat in the cage, looking out the door. She was happy that they left it open, now she could get some kind of idea of what at least part of the house looked like...

The maid shrieked when she found Corey slouched in his chair, blackening blood coating the majority of his face. She rushed off to get the house medic before he could stop her, and with a sigh he sunk even further into his seat. He at first rejected the aid of the nurse, sputtering numerous curses at nobody in particular, but soon gave in to her as she began to clean his injured nose.

Mick walked casually down the cobblestone path, watching the birds flutter between the trees. The breeze felt good on his skin when he found his way to the fountain, settling on the edge of the marble structure. His gaze wandered over the vast, colorful garden, large trees lining the edge. The shade of a large tree with small, delicate blossoms danced around him, casting little golden specks of light on the ground where light slipped through. This had to be his favorite spot in the estate.
For a while, he admired the scenery, forgetting about the slave girl. But soon, she was all he could think of. Sighing, he pondered the day to come.

Autumn could hear the rude dude cursing upstairs, and couldn't stand to listen to them any longer. "Please stop your cursing! Its very annoying and rude!" She was told to say that to the little boy she had taken care of before because he was a little curser himself...

Corey's eyes widened at the slave's voice.
"How dare you, you little brat!" he roared, sitting up in his seat. The nurses all gave a frightened look as he stormed towards the ba[injection]sement door, clutching a handkerchief to his face. "You will learn to obey, and you will learn to be quiet! Is this understood!?" he snapped, eyes practically glowing at her. "You will not question me, and you will not speak unless spoken to!" he spat.

"Yes sir.. Understood. Its just that at the old place that I was at, they told me to correct that kind of thing... I am just so used to it... Please forgive me sir!" Autumn was looking at him with her dark blue eyes.

Corey glowered at her, his hands balling into fists. He wasn't going to beat her, he wasn't quite that low, but perhaps he could get off with scaring her. He spoke in a deceivingly gentle, warm voice.
"Well, I'm afraid that will not be tolerated here. Do you understand me?" he chided, placing his hands on the top of her cage as he bent over her, staring down like a cat and a trapped mouse.

Autumn looked up at his eyes. "Yes sir. I understand." She then looked down... Afraid of what might happen to her if she continued to look at him.

Corey let a smile tug at his lips when the slave complied, turning back. He froze when he saw Mick leaning against the wall, watching them.
"Was the nose not enough?" he asked. Corey's eyes narrowed, dodging the question.
"You had better teach her to keep her words in check." he hissed. Mick knew he might not be able to hit him again, not when he was ready like this, but his glare was enough to make Corey lower his own gaze as he walked back out into the parlor.
Mick closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. It took him a minute, but he soon walked over to unlock the slave's cage.
"Come, I will show you the way around the castle." he said, opening the cage door and waiting patiently.

Autumn was happy to get out of this cage. She stepped out of the cage and stretched her arms and legs. "I don't mean to be rude, but your taller than I expected!" She stood there looking up at him.

He chuckled softly, amused by her childish perception of him. He lead her out into the parlor, passing by a disgruntled Corey without a second glance. He would spare his brother a scrap of pride... this time.
The pair walked along the corridor, windows looking over the garden filling almost the entire wall.
"So, Autumn, I have a few questions for you." he said, folding his arms behind his back. His shirt billowed the slightest bit from the one of the open panes helping to circulate air throughout the castle, but he didn't seem to mind. "How old were you when you had your first master?"

Autumn was amazed at the beauty of the outside of the castle, as well as the inside. "I was 7. I stayed there till I came here sir."

"I don't remember the name... But I do remember them having a little son who I was to take care of.. I was taught to teach him not to curse, and I guess when I tried to do that here, he got angry at me..."

Mick frowned a bit at the mention of his brother.
"Yes, yes, he does have a bit of a temper." he sighed, "Don't worry, I'll keep him in line."
He looked around as they started towards the kitchen, looking down at the child.
"Are you hungry?"

Mick nodded, leading her into the dining area. The kitchen alone was huge, much larger than the parlor. He called out for one of the maids, who practically picked up the girl and found her a seat. Then she rushed off to prepare something.

Autumn felt strange being picked up... She sat in her seat quietly, like Corey had told her... Not talking unless spoken too... She watched the other maid prepare some food...

Mick watched the slave curiously as the maid set a tray of food in front of the child, thanking her briefly before she went back to her other work. He waited for her to eat, resting his head on his hands.
"It's not poisoned, I promise." he joked.

Autumn picked up the for and started eating the food. She believed him its not poisoned, but if the brother said that, she wouldn't believe him... She wasn't going to say this though... She continued eating the wonderful meal that the maid had prepared for her.

Mick watched her wolf down the food, but he saw the look in her eyes when he had spoken last.
"He really isn't that bad, he just... has his difficulties." he said softly, looking away. His brother had a... troubled past. It almost hurt him, even to this day, to remember what had happened to his twin.
