The final bell rang and Taylor stood up quickly. She pushed in her chair, shouldered her pack and whisked out into the hallway. The cluster of kids pouring from the different clas.srooms made her feel claustrophobic. She needed to be out in the open. In the sky. She shook her head and cleared the school halls. She knew she had to avoid Jake. He would make her 'socialize' as he liked to call it, but she would rather be with her friend, the sky.

She glanced around her once she stepped out the doors of the school, feeling triumphant that she had avoided Jake. She breathed in the fresh scent of the air greedily, loving the smell of the summer heat. She took a left and started toward the road, where she would walk home. Usually, Jake would make her stay another hour or so after school to flirt with girls, but she was having none of it today. It was Friday and she wanted to spend some time away from school, having been trapped there for five days. She shook her head and continued on.

"See you later, Kaylie," Jake said, heading out the door. He was so glad to be finally leaving, Friday meant the weekend and the weekend meant fun. He had plans for this weekend, he was going to the mall with some potential girlfriends, a very important thing to him. 

His eyes almost instaltly saw Taylor as he was a little while away from school, almost home. "Hey, Taylor!" he called, hoping that she would hear him.

Taylor sighed. "I knew it was too good to be true." She muttered to herself, but she turned around to greet Jake. She had to admit, she loved him to death. He could be annoying at times. Well, most of the time, but they were like brother and sister. "Hey Jake. So, got plans for this weekend?" She asked him, already knowing he'd be out with at least three girls. Talking was easy with Jake. He understood her and didn't think she was weird.

[Ugh yeah sorry, I just made a character named Michael on another RP...]

"Hey. Well I was thinking of going to the mall with a couple of friends," he stated, pausing, "you wanna come with me? I need a mall buddy," he added, a slight smile on his face. He knew her pretty well, so his guess was that she would be in the sky this weekend, not socializing. He felt that it was his job to make sure his cousin had somewhat of a social life. 

Taylor chewed her lip. A habit she got into when she was indecisive. She knew Nick would fly with her, but did she really want to spend another weekend away from human life. Yes. Did she want a reputation of never getting out. No. She sighed. "Sure, I'll come. Doesn't mean I have to like it though." She said irritably and punched Jake playfully on the shoulder. "I just hope Thorn doesn't get any ideas any time soon. We haven't seen him in a while." She whispered to him, knowing only he could hear.

Thorn paced around the cave, growling to himself. He scraped against the floor of the rock, his claws grinding painfully against the stone. He growled louder. "Astrol, Avatzi. Get over here now." He barked, his voice sounding like nails on a chalkboard. "We need to come up with a new plan to move forward with!" He shouted, frustrated. Maybe attack a city. Or even better, a school. He thought, his lips curling into a smirk.

"Hm. Most dragons are extinct and we are the only family of half dragons left." She said matter-of-factly. "And I don't need some stupid human boy to mess up my already perfect life." She said, annoyed with Jake yet again at his ability to annoy her. "Sorry I snapped." She said to him and looked into his trusting blue eyes. "I'll be good and maybe I will see if I can get a date." She said and grinned. "Though, I do not know who will want to date me."

"Jake, Taylor!" Nick yelled as he ran up to them, his brown hair was in tufts and his eyes were watery. He had ran faster than his parents had told him to. Even when not in dragon form, they still had greater strength, speed, and more acute senses than regular humans. "What's up, Nick?" Taylor asked. "Just wanted to say hi." He said, shuffling his feet.

Taylor frowned. "You know we're not supposed to run that fast." She scolded him, but he just smiled, knowing she wouldn't do anything. "Come and get me then!" He said and jumped off of the path next to the road, ran into the trees, and shifted. Icy blue scales took over his body and his shape grew larger. Fire flashed over him, giving his scales shine and wings emerged from his back. He chuckled and took off into the sky.

"He gives me such a headache sometimes." Taylor said.
