((Ugh, sorry my computer died. I love your banner Green <3
A warning in advance, sorry about the name for the orphanage x.x ))
Miss Hecklespout's Orphanage for Children and Teens stood on a drab hillside overlooking a drab town. 9 out of 10 days were dark and rainy, and the tenth day was almost always snowing, whether it was winter, or summer. The orphanage itself was drab enough for the whole town.
It was made of gray bricks, layered one ontop of another. Here and there, a network of cracks decorated the exterior. Windows were boarded up, allowing the inhabitants no view of the outisde world. Indeed, the children were rarely allowed to exit the building.
The interior was much the same: faded wallpaper, splintered wooden floors, holes in the walls and roofs. Doors were hard to open and squeaked loudly in protest. At night, the wind howled through every nook and cranny, sounding for all the world like a mad dog.
On the tenth floor of this creaky old orphange, Kitty lay on her dirty bed, glaring at the ceiling. She had gotten into yet another quarrel with Henry, this time about her brother.
"Stupid, stupid! Why did Johnathan have to leave?" Kitty though for the millionth time that day. She punched her pillow angrily, then flung it across the room where it exploded in a shower of feathers and cotton.
((I'll rp Johnathan later into this))
