Mist looked up and her ears swiveled to the sound of her name.  Two horses, Willow and Raven, were approaching another two stallions, Bandit and Lichen.  A while ago they were underneath a tree, and she had heard her name.  Why would those two mares speak of her name?  Unless Mist had heard wrong.  But she usually always hears her name.  Whenever it's said, she lifts her head, no matter if they're all the way across a field.  It's sort of strange to some.  Granola had found it 'freaky yet cool.'  Mist began in a slow trot to go over, but thought twice about it.  Finally making a decision after what seemed like forever, Mist went over and said, "Have I heard my name spoken by one of you?"

Trinity sighed and realized it was nothing but depleted energy from the drought.  Whenever he was having fun, the thoughts escaped him, and he liked it that way.  However, now it started to all come back.  How dry his mouth was, how he longed for rain or a plentiful water source.  Anything to sustain their hydration.  The deaths of the horses in their herd all came rushing back.  The death of many foals and parents and even loner horses, creating sadness for everyone.  Trin raised a hoof and looked out as far as he could see.  Maybe I could spot a lake or a pond or a river or a stream or a field with one of those!  Alas, it was all just hope making him think this would be possible.  Trin's ears laid down with disappointment as he realized this fact once again.  As if.

"Mist! We were just about to come to you, how did you guess?" Willow asked half laughing as the young mare approached. "Oh wait, your name, yes, we were just talking about the drought. Raven and I are leaving, to find water, we were talking about, and now to, the horses we want to come with us." Willow nodded to where Raven was talking to Bandit, a few feet ahead.

Lichen perked up his head, and swiveled his ears around to listen, as Raven approached Bandit and him. I wonder what she wants? He though curiously to himself. She's looking so grim, it must be something important. Now hooked on the conversation, Lichen stepped as close as possible to hear what was being said.

((Sorry Full but I'm not accepting anymore peole(I really should put that on the first post shouldn't I) and anyways in the rules I said that everyone must have a character of each gender. I do kind of remember a role play we did a long time ago though. I think it was a wolf one.))

"Willow and I came to ask you two if you would want to come with us to look for some water and a better place for the herd." Raven said looking to Lichen as he steppped closer to the two of them. Raven swivled her ears to hear Willow a few feet away talking to Mist as the mare aprouched. She turned her heas to look then looked back at the two stallions, "We were going to ask Mist and another stallion once we thought of some one as well but figured we could start with you two." she added.

Bandit listened, "I would love to come!" he neighed but flattened his ears as he looked around to make sure no one was listening before looking at Lichen, "What about you?" He asked his voice quieter making sure no one could hear.

Lichen stepped up, flicking his tail at a fly. "I'll come too, I want to help the foals." He stated boldly, hoping they would take him with them. True, he was a bit of a chicken, but this was something he really wanted to do. "Please let me come." Lichen murmured, watching the other horses with wide eyes, not daring to hope.

Willow nodded, to both Mist and Lichen. "I don't see why you shouldn't come." She said, talking to Lichen. "But you and Bandit tend to goof off a lot, we need another stallion to keep you in line. Mist, do you know of someone that would come, someone headfirst, and strong?" Willow asked turning to the mare.

Raven noded her head as Willow aproved both Mist and Lichen coming along, "What about uh.." she flicked her ear thinking, "...Trinity right? He might want to come and I think he might be able to keep Bandit and Lichen in line." Raven said remembering the stallion. She looked over her shoulder at where most of the herd was standing trying to spot him and instead found him a little farther off to the side from the herd in some shade.

"We promiss to behave." she said looking at Lichen, "Whatever it takes to get the foals feeling better." she added looking back to Mist and Willow a pleading sadness in his dark brown eyes.

Willow snorted. "Then what are we waiting for, let's go ask him!"

She turned, and withought a backwards glance, galloped towards the stallion, who was grazing next to a rather pretty mare. "Trin! Would you come with me for a second?" Willow asked, noticing the annoyed glance the mare shot at her. What's her problem, she can't like him! Willow thought, amused. "Come on," she urged again, turning in the direction of the group.

Lichen watched Willow gallope off. He was pretty sure Trinity would come, but he was still anxious. There whole mission might fall apart if this one horse refused to come.

"He'd betting come, or else he's going to go right down my respect list, next to the lead mare," Lichen growled, half to himself.

"Trin?" Mist repeated, thinking about the stallion.  He was quite headfirst and strong, he could keep others in line, but she knew he could be childish at times, too.  She trotted over and stopped short, seeing Willow taking over.  Would Trinity come along?

Trinity listened intently to the request and thought for only a mere second.  He quickly went over and said, "Count me in.  I am not missing out on this opportunity."

"Good, now come over here, so we can get started. Obviously we can't just leave in plain sight, how about we all sleep, or pretend to sleep scattered out along the east side of the meadow, the we can just slip into the trees from there." Willow spoke matter-of factly, they had no time to lose.

Lichen nodded, the sun was already starting to set. "If we're going to do this, we'd better get a move on," he pawed the ground anxiously. "I mean, we've got to do this, for the foals!"

Bandit noded in agreement with Lichens comment and with Mists idea. It wasn't bad in the least and they had to start soon. Bandit looked over at the horizon and indeed the sun was starting to set though it would be a good half an hour to an hour before it got truly dark.

"Well why can't we just leave in plain sight? So what if the lead mare sees what's she going to do? And plus maybe if we make sure she see's it will make the others see that she's nothing but a...but a..." Raven stopped as she thought of a word to describe the lead mare that fit what she was saying," nothing but a pretentious power hungry pig." Raven finished and smiled a bit at the end content with her deion of the lead mare.

Willow snorted, slightly frustrated. "Raven, the power-pig still has supporters, if we leave in plain sight, they may try to stop us!....We just can't risk it, I'm sorry. I agree with you one hundred percent, but we could be risking the whole future generation of horses, just to prove a point, when there are other ways to go about doing it."

"Now we need to spread out into our positions," Willow added, taking charge. She knew she might sound bossy, but it was the only way.

Lichen nodded; "Bandit and I can go over to the creek, if that's okay with you guys? It might not be a bad idea if some horses see us leaving," He added as an afterthought.

"Alright I see your point." Raven said a bit of frustration in her voice but she knew that Willom was only trying to do what was best for the group and the rest of the herd. Raven noded to Bandit and Lichen before walking over towards a spot on the east side of the medow like Willow said and bent her head down pretending to be grazing. Raven was to busy thinking about the plan to actually graze but from where the rest of the herd was noone would be able to tell the difference.

"Sure." Bandit said as he trotted off with Lichen to the creek.

"Personally I think this plan is the better choice don't you." Bandit said as soon as they got far enough from Willow and Raven.

Willow let out the breath she had been holding, before following Raven, but picking a spot a little ways away from the black mare. Sometimes it's just so much easier to keep away from the other horses, Willow thought to herself. I bet I could make it on my own, if we find water, Willow thought suddenly. It wasn't like she was expecting to find a mate, she wasn't usually very friendly towards other horses. That's it, once we find water for the foals, I'm leaving the herd!

"Mares' can be a pain sometimes," Lichen said wisely. "But yes, I do prefer this plan. I must admit, I wonder how some of the older stallions manage to impress the mares', it's not like being older makes you special!" Lichen laughed.

"I guess it's just because they try to impress the mares." Bandit said after thinking a moment about the rehtorical question, "I'm not qute sure thought since I havn't really ever thought about it before." Bandit slowed down once they made it to the creek and looked down at the puny amount of water that lead down to where the lead mare was still bent down drinking her fill and gaurding what she claimed as hers and hers only. He looked back to Lichen after his mind fully filttered what the satllion had said and a small smile crossed his lips.

"So who's got you thinking about mares anyway?" He asked his intrest in this subject as childish or possibly even more so than when he was a foal himself.

"It's fine. Anyone you've got your eyes on?" Lichen asked cooling down a bit. Following Bandit's gaze he added, "almost time, but I'd say we've still got a few minutes to talk."

Willow snorted impatiently, she was itching to be off. When was the sun going to set? She lowered her head, eyes glinting in the half-light. This was her, and everyone else's chance to prove themselves.
