((Sorry Monst3r but I wanted this to be a small group and all the positions are filled. If you really want to do an rp with me or just a horse rp I wouldn't mind making one for us either a 1x1 or another small group but this one is full.

Guiven it would indeed make sence for it to be a drought so it's fine with me to have that be the reason why the group branches off. I would reply to your post but I want others to get a chance to post their intro's before I do that.))

[[Omg sorry I fail. -procrastinate-
I'm not posting in like.  Any of my other RPs except for, sometimes, my 1x1s.  I've been sort of busy and lazy, but I'll give this to you guys D: ]]

Mist looked over at the two mares conversing.  She wished she had somebody to talk to.  It's not that she was lonely and had no friends.  She had a best friend.  But ever since the drought... Granola just... passed away.  Somehow she wasn't strong enough and she left.  And now Mist was still standing, but she wanted to go with her friend.  Then again, her parents were down here, and she didn't want to leave them... Better to play out the course that their god set out for them.  Mist contemplated going over and joining the conversation, but instead looked on longingly.

Trinity slept.  When he sleeps it's the only time you'll practically ever see him calm.  His ears suddenly pricked up and Trin quickly got to his hooves, galloping out.  He went over to the foals and saw them all... not playing.  Wasn't this time of day the peak playing hour?  Seeing a few other stallions go over to investigate, Trin trotted over as well, trying to poke his head in.

Ravens ears swivled backwards when she heard a voice coming from behind her. She looked over her shoulder seeing Willow watching the stallions playing around with the foals that had soon dissapeered," Yeah." she said simply turning back to look at them. Raven knew wht the foals weren't playing any more. It was because with the drought and the beating sun the only good times to play were in the moring and after night fall. They used to play the whole day but now they got tired and thirsty with the lack of water and shortage of food.

"We need to do something don't we?" she asked looking back at Willow. Her tail snapped at another flie and her shoulder quivered on it's own as she looked at the mare. Raven wasn't sure what they would do. No that was lie. She knew exactly what they would the question was who would do it and how would it work. A group would have to seperate and find another place for the herd but they might get lost, might not find anything, might lose each other, or even loose themselves. It would be risky but it would be for the good of the herd and Raven would be willing to fight off a cougar for the herd and she felt this might be just as dangerous.

~~~~~~
"They're getting a bit snippy aren't they. They herd I mean. We don't have much to drink and we're running out of things to eat and it seems to turn us against each other." Bandit saich turning to Lichen who had been the other stallion playing with the foals. He knew he was thinking the same thing as he was and was just as confused at to what to do. Bandit scanned the herd looking at all the horses gathered in what shade there was, drinking what water there was, and eating what grass there was. Bandit furrowed his brow not happy with the condition of the herd. They were pitifully thin and the foals wouldn't last long either like this.
"The foals are fading," Willow murmured quietly, as one of the fillies layed down and closed her eyes. "There isn't much strength left in them. You know as well as I do that someone has to find water for the herd," she continued, tossing her head. She slapped at the flies around her flank with her tail. "My parents left when the drought started, there's nobody left in this herd that could keep me here while the foals suffer and die of thirst."
Willow looked at Raven. "If someone will help me, I'd race off to find water for these foals right now."
Willow continued to watch the flilly who had layed down. The foal wasn't stirring, she was slumped on her side, Willow couldn't tell if she was breathing.
"Will you help me?" She asked Raven. Already she could feel the begginings of change, something major was about to happen.
---
Lichen turned to Bandit, and nodded. "Some of the adults are talking of moving on, but the lead mare won't see sense," he nodded towards the chestnut mare who was grazing near the stream. Other thirsty horses glared at her, willing her to move, so they could get at the water, but she feigned indifference, and simply continued to graze, blocking the path to the water. "Some times...." Lichen trailed off. The lead mare was bossy, and vain, if she hadn't kept the herd together for so long, Lichen wouldn't have even a shred of respect for her. Then again, he wasn't sure he had any now. He watched a foal walk up to her, it was terribly thin, its eyes were dull, its tongue was hanging out. She stomped her foot, and nugded it away angrily. That does it, Lichen thought, someone's got to do something about her, or someone's got to something!
Raven noded as Willow asked her to come with her to find a better place for the herd, "We'd need others to come with us but yes. I'll come along." She let off a small smile as she looked at the other mare, "Who do you think would come with us?" She inquired lightly stomping one of her hooves as it started to fall asleep from being in the same spot for too long.
Raven scanned over the herd trying to find some one who looked like they might want to come with them. The mothers wouldn't come with out their foals and the foals would just slow them down and the stallions with mates would stay to protect their mates and offspring. The others would be young enough to travle fast and for long distances but there aren't many that would disobey the lead mare.
The little twit thinks she knows best. Raven thought to herself as she watched the lead mare hogging the stream. Sure she older and more experienced so to speak but she's going to drive the herd into extiction. Raven snorted a bit as she thought about what the lead mare was doing to the herd but then a small devious smile grew. Raven was a reble at times and intentionally disobeyed direct orders to prove a point and this would be the perfect thing to do in order to set the lead mare completly on edge. She wouldn't allow them to leave and come back but if they did come back after finding a better place other horses might be willing to leave by that point.
~~~~

"Some times what?" Bandit asked shaking his mane as it got itchy with the sun making his sweaty and hot. His mouth was parched and his hooves were cracked and not to mention the fact that no one else was doing any better. Bandit respected the lead mare but at times she seemed to not know what to do and instead of asking the elders or just asking anyone she decided to keep her pride and shove everyone off. This had been the place the herd had settled on long before Bandit was born and the way the valley was looking now showed that such things were true. Many of the horses knew that they needed to leave but no one would stand up and take her place as leader. He would if he knew he would be a good leader but he knew that he was too childish and not serious enough for the job but at least he would know when to ask for help.

Willow snorted, and pawed the ground axiously. Now that it came down to it, she was feeling rather nervous. "I'd say we'd need at least two stallions, so that way there's more than one to keep each other in line, and another mare or two that doesn't have any close...attachments in the herd." Sweat on Willow's back made it itchy, causing her swing around and nip at a rather itchy spot. "if you don't have any ideas right at the moment, can we please move into the shade, this sun is killing me!" Willow complained.

---

Lichen dropped his voice. "Give her good kick." Lichen looked around nervously, making sure no horse had heard his reply. "I'm sure I'm not the only one around here that wouldn't mind leaving her with a bruise." He watched a stallion approach the lead mare, in the months before the drought, they had been rather close. Now the older horse looked huge, and menacing. He nipped at the mare, trying to make her move, but she stomped her hind leg, and kicked at him with her front legs. "that must've hurt..." Lichen muttered. "Have any suggestions as to what we could do?"

((Sorry))

Raven noded, "That sounds reasonable." she said as she walked with Willow back over the the presious shade of the willow tree and watched the stallions talking where the foals usually played. They all seemed curious probably about why the coalts and fillies weren't playing at that moment but she figured they would understand soon enough.

"So who do you think we should aprouch about this?" Raven asked taring her attentlion away from the stallions and to the mare standing next to her.

~~~~~~
Bandit smirked and gave a quick quiet laugh, "I couldn't agree more." he said after Lichen commented on how the lead mare should get a good kick as she does to pretty much everyone else around.
"Um...well I'm sure some other horses have to be unhappy with the situation it just depends on wheather or not any of them are willing to rebel." He said.
(it's fine)
Willow flexed her muscles slightly, stretching out her neck in the shade of the trees. "Well, the horses around our age would be more likely to leave, some horses would leave at our age anyway, regardless of the situation." Willow spoke slowly, thinking. "What about Mist? She's our age, and her parents aren't as strict with her. I'm not even sure where they're at right now, besides, now that her friend isn't here anymore, she isn't very close with anyone."
---
Lichen ducked his head, somewhat embarassed by his own comment, and Bandit's reply, not many horses would insult the lead mare and laugh.
"Ack, none of the older stallions would help, that's for sure, they have families. It would have to be someone younger."
"Mist." Raven repeated thinking about weather she thought the mare might come with them. From when she knew about her she wasn't really part of the herd so much as she was just the offspring of two of the herds horses, "She seems like a suitable horse to ask." Raven said coming out of her thoughts and nodding her head.
"I know for sure that Bandit would follow us. I've talked to him many times about this situation and he didn't seemed to be pleased at all with it. We could ask him for sure."
~~~~

"Agreed." Bandit said his eyes drifting back to the obviously tired foals still lingering by their mothers who were caring tenderly for them. They were sickly looking and scronny most of them deathly looking which angrered Bandit the most. Sure he was dissmayed at how the lead mare was practiclly pushing the herd to extiction but when it effacted the foals to this extent he couldn't bare it any longer.

"Alright, how about we approach Bandit first, as he's a definite?" Willow looked over to where the young stallion was talking to Lichen. "Lichen might come too...." She trailed off, unsure if he really would, even as she said it. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask either way, we have to do something," Willow sighed.

---

Lichen followed Bandit's gaze. He saw countless foals, slummped against their mothers, toungues hanging out. He had played with many of these foals just earlier in the day. "Who else plays with the foals?"

Raven noded her head, "OK then we'll start with them first then." She said before trotting out from under the wounderful shade and into the blazing heat of the sun and over towards Bandit and Lichen," Hey." she said nodding her head to the both of them.

~~~~
"Just us I thinks. Some times I guess a few of the mothers do but we already rulled them out because they would be to keen on being with their young." Bandit said before looking to the two approuching mares. He nodded his head to them both, "Hello." He said puttong on his usual smile.
