The Gir Forest's dry teak woods were once a royal hunting ground. Today they are a reserve where the endangered Asian lions now live.

Faolan woke up with his drowzy eyes, hanging down. Faolan walked out of his den and looked up at the sun and walked towards the watering hole.

Tanshi stayed asleep not noticing his brothers movement.

{{{ I'm fine. My asthma's just been real bad lately and we are having a hard time finding meds that work for me without making me sick.}}}

Maivan opened his tiny eyes and looked at the small bit of sunlight coming into the den. Deciding that it was time to be awake, the young cub leaped onto his mother's back and pulled at her ear. "Come on, mum! It's time to get up!"

Farii woke up as the cub pulled on her ear. "Alright, Maivan. I'll get up. Relax." Then, the queen batted her paw at the young prince playfully. A squeeky growl came from the cub, and Farii couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Alright, son. Let's go see what the others are doing."

Jevai pulled the gazelle's body towards the pride's territory. Being a lioness, it was her job to be sure the pride was fed. She laid the prey nearer to the queen's den than anyone else's den. Then, she waited for others to come to feed.

Faolan watched Jevai pull  the carcas.s to the feeding spot and slowly walked up to it and sat, waiting for the queen and the prince to eat first. He looked back towards his den and saw his brothers head poke out.

Tanshi walked of their den and walked up next to his brother "Thanks for waking me up." Tanshi growled quietly "Oh quit your complaining." Faolan said. Tanshi just rolled his eyes.

Farii emerged from her den with Maivan trailing behind her. She saw that Jevai had brought food and the others were all waiting for her so that they could eat. "Thank you Jevai for the meal." 

Jevai bowed her head in respect for the queen and prince. "Your welcome."

Farii pulled a piece of the gazelle off for her and Maivan to share. She pulled it a bit away from the others. 

Maivan began eating some of the food his mother had brought over to him. Farii ate along side her cub.

Jevai grabbed a piece of the gazelle for herself after the queen had grabbed her share.

Farii looked up at the two males. A look of both concern and upset graced her face. "Is there a problem boys?" She asked. She eyed them carefully awaiting their response.

Maivan tore at the piece of meat with his tiny paws. He was having trouble, since he was so tiny. The piece of meat was bigger than him. Eventually he gave up and looked up at his mother. He lightly pawed her. He sat and waited for her attention.

Jevai kept eating. She didn't want to be part of this whol.e fight thing between the boys. Especially not after the queen became involved. She mind her own business, but she couldn't avoid listening to the whole thing.

Faolan shook his head "No ma'am, he's just how little brothers are we always fight its no big deal." Faolan said and with that he bowed and walked away back to the water hole where it was his favorite place to think.

Tanshi layed in their den and sighed and layed his head on his paws and looked at the sky.

Farii watched both lions leave the feeding area. Then she turned to her son. "let's get that food smaller for you." She tore off some smaller pieces for Maivan and he went straight to eating them. Then, she ate her belly's fill and headed to the waterhole for a drink. She found Faolan there and tried her best not to disturb him as he seemed to be thinking.

Jevai finished her food and laid in the sun by her den. 

Faolan sighed and noticed Farii was there "Im sorry for earlier, my queen." Faolan said as he stood and bowed.

Farii bowed her head to him. "It's fine, Faolan. You're forgiven." Farii tokk a drink from the water.

Maivan finished his food and looked over at his mother. He sat down and waited for her to return.

Farii watched the lion walk away. Then she took a sip from the wather, and turned to head back to her cub. Maivan pounced on his mother, playfully. Farii tossled with him for a little while,
