Frostyskies wail cut through the air. Soon, three healthy kits were beside her. "I don't want it!" She yelled suddenly, pushing away a small black one. "But-" moonwhisker stuttered. "No, I won't take care of her!" She pushed her away again. there were no more queens, so the kit would ebviosly die if Frostyskies didn't take care of it. Suddenly, Emberstar had an idea. "Give the kit to me," He said. "I know who to give it to." Puzzled, but obliging, Frostyskies gave it to him. He bounded wordlessly out of camp. He sat on the border, waiting for a FrostClan patrol.

Wishkit, Hopekit, and Snakekit were play fighting right outside the Nursery Den, with Silverpaw with them. She turned to see that the Deputy, Rowanfur, was as.signing patrols. She trotted over to them, "I wish to go," She asked. Not wanting to hear the Queen's complains if they said no, they let her go. Soon enough, they were padding along the Borders. "Emberstar!" She mewed. Her clanmates scowled at her, Starfrost returned hissed at them and they left her there. "What is that?" She half hissed. "Whee is its mother?!"

Frostyskies doesn't want it." He said. "We have no other queens with milk. I'm hoping you'll take her." He pushed the loudly caterwauling black midnight she-cat forward, towards Starfrost. The kitten scented themilk, and started wailing louder, squirming forward with all her worth. "She wasn't amed." Emberstar said. "She was rejected."

"Wha--?" Starfrost nuzzled the Kit. "Why would someone reject a Kit?" She mewed. "There's nothing wrong with her.....Does she even have a name?" Instinct took over as she plopped right down and let the small kit feed. " Why was she rejected?" She asked.

She then bounded back to the Patrol. " Greyclaw, Gingerpelt, Dayflower! Look what I found!" She explained her story to them, then they hurried back to the Clan. Once there, she set the Kit down so her other Kits could them. "You have a new sister," SHe told them.

All of her kits were tickled, then had a new play-mate! But Starfrost had to explain to them why Whispkit could not play. "she it too young, at the moment. Mabye in a few moons, she will be old enough to play with you." Hopekit hissed, Wishkit started to mew loudly, and Snakekit didn't seem to care.
