Emberstar was about to leave, when he saw Starfrost."Starfrost!"He mewed. "Why?--" He broke, off, seeing the kit. His eyes widened in horror. "Oh." He whispered, staring at the motionless kit.

"She....She's with StarClan now..." She choked out, laying the cold kit to the ground, nuzzling it one more time. "I-I don't know what I did wrong....." She started. "I'm just a horrible mother.....I don't deserve to have kits....."

Starfrost entwined her tail with his's."I....Love you too....." She nuzzled him. A small squeak stopped her heart cold. Looking down, Wishkit was moving.....She was breathing....And mewling for her mother. "Wish....Wishkit...!" She snatched the kit up and licked it furiously. 'Y-your...Alive!"
