The jewel gave an hella powerful zap to who ever tried to grab it. Talein still had feelings and a heart. That gave the jewel more power than befroe sinc eofcourse the spirit over ruling it was femine and all females had feelings. The jewel even sort of took a liking to Taelin, it wouldn't have itself ripped from her grasp and let all the power rage into zapping, teh most i would allow is Taelin being taken into captivity...
