Okami ran from the like, howling like a mad dog. "Maka? Maka?!" Tears streamed from his eyes. He then turned to face Nibui who stood behind him. "This is all you're fault!" he growled. "How... how could you love my angel?" He then turned and ran. Perhaps he could find her back at the Packs?
Nibui growled and chased after Okami.
(im so sorry, i have about a bazillion other RP's to attend to, so im really sorry if this is not fitting,)

Maka wandered around lonely for a bit. She found herself back at the meadows they had just fought at. The sun was shining and the birds were singing a beautiful happy tune. She smiled lightly, but finds herself thinking. "Now i'm faced with another fight...the both of them", she whines. Okami and Nibui...They were both wonderful wolves, but how could she tell which one is right for her? She stood there, shaking her head just as confused as ever. Now that the packs were joined together in peace, she had to choose a mate. "Alpha will be rather disappointed if there are no more pups...", she whimpered. |

Arriving now at the joined packs, exhausted, Okami collapsed. He felt weaker, now. He saw wolves of all kinda stir around him. The medicine wolves rushed to him, but blackness was already starting to blur and smear his vision. It wasn't long until the scenery changed.
He was back on the moon-lit cliff, where the rocks refelcted and glowed silver from the moon's light. Looking around, scenting the air, he wondered if he would see Tsukuyomi again. Alas, he had found the she-wolf again on the very edge of the cliff, where the moon's light shone brightest. Her tail and fur bellowed in the night breeze. "Lady Tsukuyomi," Okami murmured. "Have you called for me?"
"Beware the evil that lurks from within," she cautioned with a flick of her tail. She looked back at Okami, her blazing yellow eyes glowing bright. "Evil can corrupt the thoughts, and can travel from blood to blood."
"What do you mean?" asked the black wolf.
"Day and Moon are united, but it shall be Dawn, Twilight, and Dusk, overseen by the two wolves of gods, that will save the fight of the Packs." Tsukuyomi said. And with that, the goddess gave a howl, and white mist surrounded her, engulfing both him and her. The scenery changed, and he was back in his Pack's medicine den, with Chyroki looking up at him.
"M-Maka?" Okami inquired, but he barely had the strength. He lowered his head and closed his eyes, this time falling into a sleep without any dreams of goddesses.

Maka wandered around alone aimlessly for a whole day. She had no idea of what to do. She headed back to the lake were everything had been interrupted by the two wolves fight. She sighed heavily, and still after all this thinking had no idea what to do. She was hungry, tired, and her paws hurt so bad she couldn't feel them anymore. She collapsed hard to the ground. Her eyes began to darken as she faded in and out of consciousness. A set of prints stepped just before her as she passed out, unaware of whom she had in her presence.

"This is her?" asked one wolf, who's voice was cracked, yet had an mischevious edge to it.
"I am certain," replied another. "There is no doubt. She had already displayed the powers of Amaterasu pretty well." The betraying wolf grinned, lashing his tail, "Ah, such a beaut."
(duh duh duuuh.)
Her dream unfolded in a meadow of sunshine. Birds sang, squirrels scampered up high in the branches. The sun shone almost to brightly, blinding many "mortal" animals. The meadow was filled with tall, luxurious grasses and wildflowers. Though by the sun's position it looked like mid-day, the faint, chill breeze made it feel like morning. Off to the distance,the sky darkened to twilight, a dim shade of violet and indigo. Night was not too far off. Tsukuyomi would make her rounds here soon.
"Maka," said a calm, echoing, femenine voice. "Welcome."

Maka awoke in the field she had collapsed in. Her eyes squinted at the light but soon opened wider to see the gorgeous wolf goddess before her. "Amaterasu...", she spoke. She stood up and walked to her. "Why have you come?", she questioned. The goddess didn't show up in her dreams alot, but when she did Maka knew it had to be important.
"War is about to break between the packs once more, and it's up to the goddesses to stop it. We cannot interfere though... only those chosen by us may save the packs", she howled. Amaterasu was gone as night passed into her sights. Maka awoke abruptly, surrounded by 2 male wolves. She growled viciously and her coat grew brighter. |

"Well, she woke early..." the rogue wolf snarled. The other one blinked, then turned on the rogue wolf.
"Go away!" he snarled. It was obviously Nibui. His usual quiet voice growled in fake rage. He lashed with his claws at the wolf, who whimpered and played along, running away through the bushes nearby. Nibui turned back to Maka, "You alright?" he asked, nudging her up.

Maka noticed the wolf after her vision had become clearer. She nuzzled him softly, glad to see a friendly face. "I'm fine really", she sighed. His protectiveness made her blush slightly. She was a bit worried that he was up to something, but shook the feeling off and muzzled him more. "I'm so glad to see you", she whined. Seeing a familiar face made her feel happy inside, and her fur began to shine more. Tears streamed down her face from enjoyment, then what Alpha Ruko said in the forest made her blush more. Why was she thinking of pups around Nibui?

Nibui yipped, muzzling Maka back. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "Sorry about earlier, between me and Okami. I don't know what Okami was thinking!" Nibui began pacing around. "I mean really! I would've expected something way different from a fellow Pack mate." he shook his head. "Oh, but I do suppose I should stop talking about it,"

Maka smiled nervously at him, but shook the conversation off. "It's ok, i don't know either... he's been acting weird lately", she whined. She didn't want him to act this way, but Nibui seemed to be the only thing on her mind as of right now. She looked into his deep eyes and could tell he was being sincere in his thoughts towards Okami. "He'll get past it", she smiled, reassuring him. She nudged her head under his deep and broad chest. It felt warm, and made her whole body warm as well. She pinned her ears back and cleared her throat, blushing and smiling a bit. "sorry Nibui...", she laughed.

"Ah, no, it... it is fine." Nibui nodded. Deep down, he was smiling inside. This was all according to plan! He waved his tail, and looked off into the distance. "We should return to the Packs," he said. "Looks as if more storms are gonna be brewing in. We could at least find a nearby cave, though, since it's dark." He started padding away, motioning for Maka to follow. "On the way there, we could talk about... your powers."

Maka forwarded her motions to meet his and walked beside him. She nodded in agreement and suddenly the rain began to pour down. She looked up and her eyes turned a light blue color. A yellow orb appeared in her left eye and suddenly the rain stopped. Each individual ran drop splashed onto the ground, but no more rain drops fell from the sky. It was still dark and her eyes returned to their normal golden yellow color. She smiled at him and collapsed once more. Though she didn't pass out, it became rather hard to walk. "Stupid paw", she whined. She hobbled back up and spotted a cave. "I'm sorry Nibui, but it looks like we'll have to rest up for tonight. It's getting dark anyways", she spoke softly, limping into the dark cave. In the middle of the cave she pressed her paw down onto the ground firmly and a flame englufed it. She drew a tiny circle and the fire remained in the circle, but disappeared from her paw. She lightly layed on the ground, sighing lightly.

Nibui padded up in front of Maka, and began licking her paw to help clean the grit and dirt from it. "What happened?" he asked. "Got into a fight with a rock? Hm, seems like you lost that round," he joked. He curled up beside her, letting his warmth spread out through Maka's fur. "So, the way that your fur glows... it's like you have the power of the gods in you." he flicked his ear. "Tell me, what is your secret?"

"There is no secret. My fur has always glowed brightly like this, ever since I was a pup. The powers, my fur, everything. It's no secret, I just don't know what it is", she continued licking the fur from her paw until it was clean. She smiled at his joke and layed her head down onto his broad chest. "You know what i've had in my head lately? Pups...", she whispered. "It's crossed my mind on more than one occasion, and I can't shake it.", she sighed this time, sitting back up watching the fire intently. "I'll be honest... I don't know who to choose.", she smiled. The fires glow had her full attention and it grew a bit brighter and bigger. "Okami...or Nibui. Both wonderful mates... but yet I can't seem to choose", she spoke in a neutral tone.

Nibui blinked, "Pups?" he asked. "I... never imagined pups." he admitted. Though outside he appeard surprised, inside, he was grinning mischeiviously. All part of the plan... his master's wonderful plan. He rested his tail on Maka's belly and rested his head on her back. "Pups..." he repeated. He couldn't help but marvel at how well his master had planned this. Every step of it, every reaction, every fight, he had predicted it.
"Maka?" howled a she-wolf not too far from the cave. "Maka!"

Maka smiled and pricked her ears up as she heard her name. "Who is that", she questioned. She jumped up urgently and ran to the mouth of the cave. She looked around desperately trying to find the wolf howling her name. She howled back in response. "I'm here", she raised her head to the sky and let out a long and lengthy howl. She turned back to Nibui and frowned. "I'm sorry... I have to go!", she sped off and finally smacked into another she wolf's body.

Nibui stared after Maka with darkness in his eyes as she dashed off.
The she-wolf collapsed to the ground from the collision from Maka. When she picked herself up and shook her head to get the rain out of her eyes, she barked. "Maka!" she let out a sigh of relief. "It's Okami! He's ran ill! He's fallen asleep, and won't wake up! He keeps muttering you name. Is nose is becoming dry and his pelt is damp from sweat. Chyroki, nor the does the DayPack medicine wolf, know what's going on!"

Maka's eyes welt up with tears. She dashed off into the direction of the mountains. Poppies sprang up where her tears hit the ground in a blurrinng motion. She sped past the she wolf and dashed off faster than she had before. "Okami... please be ok!", she howled. Her voice rang out amongst the forest and rang back in her ears. The birds sitting high in the trees followed her in her pursuit to get to the packs. She didn't slow down when she reached the entrance. Members from each pack were stricken with grief and sorrow as they watched her pass by. She cried more and finally arrived at the entrance to Chyroki's medicine cave. She gasped at Okami's horrible state. "Okami...", she cried out. He was as the she wolf described. She looked at Chyroki and padded forward toward him slowly. Her paws gave out as she fell before Okami, her nose just barely touching his. Her tears rolled down her jowls and she budged him ever so lightly. "My love...", she cried.

"I don't know what's wrong with him," Chyroki whimpered. "No one does. We've tried everything, every herb, every berry, every excercise we could. He just won't wake up." Chyroki padded over to Okami and listened for a heart beat. Feeling the rise and fall of his chest, he once again heaved a sigh of relief. "He's still alive, but he has a weak pulse." He backed away and looked at Maka, "Tonight me and Iyasu (the other medicine wolf) will try and contact the Amida, the god of death. I fear Okami is on the verge of dying. We need to find out what the reasons are, and if his time has actually come. I want you to come with us, Maka."

Maka couldn't physically move. All she could do was whine and lick at Okami's muzzle. She mudged her broken body over to the barely alive wolf, resting her soft head onto his chest, where his beartbeat met hers. She could feel it faintly, and cried more. "Okami...please wake up. You are the only one for me, my love. If you go, then so will I...", she whispered his his alert ears. She vaguely listened as Chyroki spoke. She looked up at him, and slightly nodded in agreement to his demands. She barely had any more energy to move, so she layed there, falling asleep fastly beside her beloved mate.
