Gabriel wandered about, hugging his Shinx close as he looked around nervously. He bit his lip, bright green eyes darting about to basically scan the area he was in, document where he was going so he could make his way back later.

He wandered for at least twenty minutes before he set Bolt down to start gathering up sticks and such, deciding that their Pokemon could probably dry it out if needed. He was even able to find wide leaves that they could use as a makeshift roof, which he was currently going to use to bundle up the sticks so he could keep looking for something to use to boil water with. This took another at least half an hour before he found an indented rock that he was satisfied with. He nodded with a smile as he turned to start back, only to freeze with thinly-veiled terror as he heard the call of an Ursaring.

This sound made him immediately turn around and stare in the direction it came from, Gabriel stumbling back a bit before he turned to quickly start making his way back to where he'd left his partners before he could end up in another encounter with that Ursaring.

((Almost tempted to have him accidentally catch it. xD What do you guys think?))

(Haha, that would have been pretty funny)
Jake awoke a few minutes later still slumped against the boulder. He must have blacked out for a little while, and rubbed his eyes to wipe away the la
yer of misted pain that clouded his vision and thoughts. Rolling to the side and exposing his pokeballs, he pulled them out and released Spark, Shade, and Ember. Spark immediately curled up in Jakes arms, and he shifted to keep the Pokemon away from his injury. Shade snuffled his hands and settled down beside his hip, and E,miner contented herself sleeping on his feet, off of the still soaked ground.

((What would happen with the Teddiursa whose mother it is?))

Arashi, who'd been keeping a look out for any unsavoury types or rambunctious Pokemon who might disturb them, turned to regard Jake when he noticed that he'd awoken. "Ah, you're awake. I was getting worried. Are you alright? Do you need me to do anything?" He asked, voicing his concern. Now that Jake was awake, he could at least be communicated with, which meant that Arashi had less to worry him, but he was still fretful all the same. After all, he hadn't expected that Ursaring encounter, and his nerves were still somewhat frayed from it.

"Yes. Are you alright?" Jake asked uncertainly, not knowing how much pain the other teen was in. Holding Spark closer, he traced the bloody gash down his ribs and then, looking at Arashi, asked,"May I see your wound? I just want to know how bad it is, and you probably want to take your shirt off so the blood doesn't make it stick."

((Well he certainly wouldn't leave the poor thing on its own unu If he was to accidentally catch the Ursaring by like, reflexively tossing something and it ending up being a Pokeball he'd probably either try to find a way to release her or get her to lead him to the teddiursa so they won't be separated uvu'))

((If you want to have an Ursaring encounter, go for it, it could be interesting. By the way, the burns on its back are about half a day old, and have removed a bunch of fur, so it's pretty obvious that there was a fire.))

Arashi was relieved that Jake felt well enough to converse with him, though he would have preferred it if the other teen had not been passed out at all. Recognising the sense in what he'd been told, be tentatively removed his top, wincing at the movement necessary. The blood hadn't started to stick to the cloth yet, but it had certainly made a mess. Turning, he allowed his friend a look, revealing long claw marks that stretched diagonally from his right shoulder down to just below the left side of his ribcage.

Wincing in pain for his friend (how strange was it that he already thought of Arashi and Gabriel as friends, almost brother), he took Arashi's shirt from him and tentatively mopped up the rest of the blood until it was relatively clean. He then wiped the remaining rubble off of his own wound, and took off his ripped shirt. Holding it up to Arashi, he said an embarrassed apology for ripping the other boy's shirt, then set about digging in his own bag for two clean ones. He plopped the two clean shirts between them, and tore the other bloody shirt into strips which he set beside him in a separate pile. Once Gabriel arrived, he hoped to wash the blood off and use the cloth for binding both of the wounds.

Gabriel, unfortunately, wasn't able to outrun the angry Ursaring this time and after only a few minutes he found himself standing face to face with her. He took a couple steps back, trying to keep him Pokemon close to him when he ended up tripping over one of them, he wasn't sure which, and landing on his butt. A few of his tings splled out from the impact and he had meant to grab a rock to throw it to the side in the hopes of distracting the angry bear, but instead he threw a Pokeball, which connected with the Urasring's chest and enveloped her in a bright red light.

Gabriel's eyes widened further as he watched the pokeball shake, then grow calm. Had he just captured the angry pokemon with hardly a fight?

He let out the breath he hadn't been aware that he was holding up at the Teddiursa from earlier came wandering out. Now that the Ursaring wasn't going to end up killing him, he carefully scooted forward to offer out his hand tot he Teddiursa, gently allowing the tiny bear to crawl into his arms as he picked up the Pokeball to stare at it with thinly veiled bewilderment. But...he could use this opportunity to help her with her burn, and then possibly release her back into the forest if she and the Teddiursa wished to do so.

Gabriel exhaled quietly, picking up all of his things, and then returning to the group, breaking through the foliage to return to them around twenty minutes later.

"So, um...I had another run-in with the angry mother Ursaring," he said quietly, holding up the pokball. "And instead of ending up tossing something to distract her I accidentally caught her."

Arashi murmured his thanks to Jake, for all that it had stung when his friend had wiped the blood from his back. It was odd, the way he'd become able to open up to these two over so short a span. Perhaps it was the scenario? "It's alright, I probably wouldn't have been able to make that shirt presentable again anyway." He responded, grateful that Jake had thought to present him with a fresh shirt in lieu of the one so damaged and soiled.

"Gabriel! Are you alright?" Arashi asked, when he caught sight of the familiar and nervous face, looking somewhat rattled. Asking whether Gabe had found anything to help them could wait, he wanted to be sure that the other was not harmed. When Gabriel explained what had happened, he blinked in bewilderment for a moment, at a loss for words. "Really? My goodness. I suppose it's a good thing that captured Pokemon are, on the whole, rather less likely to maim people than in their wild state. At least, for the moment, we needn't worry that she'll burst of the foliage and surprise us."

Gabriel nodded and moved to gently set the little Teddiursa down before he started to unload what he had. "I can't carry a whole lot at once, but...I did managed to get this," he said softly, the set the indented rocl forward. "Can this be used to boil water in?" he asked quietly. "And, um. Do you know what would be best to treat burns? I want to help the Ursring." He looked over at the little Teddiursa he'd brought with him, reaching out to gently rub its head. "And once I help her I'll probably try to release her, since she has a little one to take care of."

Arashi regarded the Teddiursa with mild interest for a moment, before returning his mind to the priorities at hand. Examining the indented rock, he mulled over Gabriel's question for a few moments. "I don't know for certain, but it would definitely be worth trying." He responded, before wondering about the other issue that Gabe had brought up. "Well, my backpack has some Pokemon medicines in it, so there could be something helpful in there. I was planning to see whether we could use any of them on ourselves, once we'd cleaned up, but I don't know which ones are left. The Ursaring caught one of the straps when she clawed me, and some of my things spilled out. While Jake was out cold, I'd been trying to fix my strap with some plantstuff, but it hasn't been going well." He wasn't going to suggest withholding medical aid, despite his injury, as the Pokemon was clearly in need - besides, helping her out could make her more amiable towards them, which would be a plus.

Jake smiled as he watched Arashi and Gabriel talk about the medicines. When he heard about the ursarang, he stiffened but then, realizing that it couldn't harm them, grinned even wider at Gabriel. He thought it rather funny that Gabriel, of all people, caught a rampaging bear pokemon, and stated this fact loudly to the group. Making an effort to stand, he pointed away from the direction they had come. "I hear water from over there. We may be able to get some to boil, which would prove useful later on for many things."

Gabriel gently nudged the little Teddiursa forward, nodding slightly. "I can go try to get some water," he said softly as he moved to grab the leaf again. it didn't really have holes or anything in it, so it could easily be used to carry water, seeing as they'd left most of their gear back at their camp...but Gabriel had been too panicked when running away to see where they had been heading so he wasn't sure which way camp was.

"I'll let the Ursaring out of her Pokeball once we're sure we can help her... I don't want her to end up hurting you two again," he said softly. "Um, I'll be back in a bit then with water, and then we can see if we can use the rock to boil it," he said, turning to head off again with his Pokemon following loyally after.

Arashi found the notion of Gabriel catching the rampaging Pokemon by accident amusing as well, but he was more interested by the assertion that there was probably water near them, as this was such an important resource to locate. He'd probably be of little use in the event that they tried to locate their camp, given his sense of direction, but he could always ask Hada to take a look from the air. There was a problem with that as well, though, in that there would be so much foliage in the way, and there was a lot of forest to scour. "Thank you, Gabriel." He responded, smiling in his friend's general direction.

Jake limped forward after Gabriel, calling out that he wanted to accompany him to wash the bandages. Looking back at Arashi, he quietly asked Ember to stay and protect  Arashi. He didn't think that he would need it, but Ember probably wouldn't like the water anyways.

Jake followed Gabriel towards the sound of water, stopping at the brink of a wide but shallow(3-4 feet deep and 9-10 feet wide) river, where he promptly sat on a rock and dangled his toes in the water before removing his filthy jeans and boxers and wading into the water. It was cold, but not unpleasant, and he sighed as his wound was immersed in the burbling water. He swished the bandages out and squeezed the blood out, setting them out to dry on a rock. The sun was just beginning to go down, but they would still have an hour or two of daylight left.

"A-ah!" Gabriel moved over towards Jake, looking distinctly worried. "Why didn't you stay with Arashi?" he asked quietly, moving to actually get a good look at the other's injuries and wincing lighly. "You're hurt the worst! You shouldn't be up and following me to the river," he said, rubbing his arm slightly. "A-and if it gets to where you can't walk very well I-i'm not sure I can support you to head back to where Arashi is..." He rubbed his arm. "And I'm too afraid to release the Ursaring without knowing we can help her because she could hurt us again..." He glanced down as Bolt approached and put his front paws on his legs, the scrawny teenager bending down to lift his Shinx into his arms and essentially cuddle the young Pokemon. "I was coming here on my own because I'm not hurt at all...all that happened to me was an asthma attack that's gone now..."

And so he could be of more use to make up for said asthma attack. He couldn't bear being useless to his hurt friends so he wanted to do his best to help, to do whatever he could to get what they needed.

"... Well, I wasn't expecting that." Arashi mused to the Pokemon who were left with him, having called out Hada and Sky for company, and so that Ember would have someone to play with. "Should I have insisted that he stay, I wonder? It might not have been a good idea to stress him, though. Ahh, well, I'm sure that he'll be fine somehow. I don't hear anything unusual, and Gabriel already caught the Ursaring. I wonder how she got those burns, though... Well, it's too damp for a fire right now, so that shouldn't be a problem."

Wading back out, he called back up to Gabriel, "I know I probably shouldn't be on my feet, but I thought the water would help, you know, to clear away the blood and stuff so we don't smell like meat to any other hungry pokemon. Actually, I think it would help Arashi too, but I wasn't sure how he was doing and if he could walk over here. I might be able to carry him, though. Never mind, you know what, screw it. I'll just bring back the bandages and wipe it, I don't want to get Arashi hurt more."

As his voice stopped, he realized he had been rambling, and he apologetically grinned at Gabriel. He made his way back out of the river and grabbed the bandages, limping back to Arashi. Probing the skin around the wound, he could see apparently nothing wrong, such as infection, but wasn't much of a doctor. He lay he cool strips across his back, then leaned against the warm boulder and put the remaining two on his own wound.

Gabriel frowned slightly, holding up the large leaf. "You shouldn't be moving around either," he said softly before he moved to dip the large leaf into the river, holding it like a bowl as he straightened back up to start back over to the other two. "That's why I was going alone, Jake. You two are both hurt so I don't want you to strain yourselves or anything." he knelt down to pour a little bit of water into the indented rock, looking over at Jake. "Could you see if Ember could possibly try to get the water boiling with her fire?" he asked softly.

"Oh, you're back, then?" Arashi spoke up, when Jake appeared and began to poke around with his back. He'd have said something, but then he felt something cool and wet pressed up against his back, and he sighed. It felt good, and it helped with the pain. "Did you already manage to get hold of clean water, then?" He asked, not realising that the bandages had simply been rinsed in the place Gabriel had gone to. Hopefully, there wouldn't be anything bad in the water, since it had looked so clear, but there would have been less risk if the water had been boiled first to sterilise it. "Why is it so cool? It feels nice, but I didn't think it had been that long. How is Gabriel doing?"
