Shay didn't think about Shadow.  Instead, she was thinking about Kaze, and how she found Shadow.  She logged off the computer, after finding her report had been saved--Phew!--and opened up her diary.  She put the date up at the top, then wrote:

I finally got a puppy!  Except he's more a bother than a joy.  Hmf.  Maybe I shouldn't have even taken him in.  But the way I found Shadow was mysterious.  It all started with my parents' say.  They told me to go to Kaze's house and interact or whatever.  So, I did, finding it was hopeless to argue.  While there, Kaze and I were in his amazing greenhouse! More on it to be written later, though.  Anyway, one moment I was speaking with him, the next he disapears, and I find a little german shepherd puppy!  Well, he's not so awesome, so to speak.  First, he ruined my bed.  Second, he unplugged my computer while I was doing my report!(Luckily, it was saved)  He just seems like a stupid little brat more than a loving, loyal 'Man's Best Friend.'  Yeah, right!  More like 'Man's Best Brat'!  Ugh.  I might ask mom and dad to give him to the pound or something, or perhaps an animal shelter.  Yeah, a shelter.  Pounds suck. Even I wouldn't be that cruel to him---even if he is a terrible mutt.  Well, this entry is done for today.  To write on Kaze's house and more tomorrow.

Shay closed her diary, putting on the lock and hiding the key back in its special spot.  She heard the door open.  Mom and Dad were back.

Again, really sorry.... :(  I'll try to be active over the weekends, but I have a piano recital on Sunday and Saturday.  Anyways....I shall post..

Shay ran downstairs to her parents.  "Um, uh, yeah, uh...can we...um.." Shay stammered.  "What, sweetie?" her mother said, setting down the supplies.  "You, have, uh..The reciept to that, erm, stuff?" She smiled.  Or tried to.

"Oh, no.  No, no no no no," her mother replied.  "This is your commitment! You wanted a puppy, you got one.  Now take care of it! It's your property! We have no part in taking care of this other than buying supplies."  She was stern.

Meanwhile, Shay's father grumbled while he hauled out everything.  "Puppy...Hmf...I don't want an animal in the house...They're just trouble....Hmf...Hrrruhf..."  He muttered.

Shay sighed, then took the food and stored it away in the kitchen.  She took the bowls, dog bed, collar, leash, dog blanket, and toys up to the spare room. She dropped them in front of the door.  "Mom! Dad! Can the spare room be the puppy's room?!" she shouted down the stairs.

A faint, yet true, "Yes, honey!" rang up to her.  She then picked up everything and opened the door, then went in and closed it.  "Hel-lo, Shadow the tyrant," she said, almost cheerfully.  It was just one mistake, after all.  "This is going to be your new room.  Get used to it," she said, dropping everything.

Shay set down the dog bed near the blanket she had, and threw the blanket in a corner.  She took the dog blanket and lined it in the dog bed.  Then, on a shelf where Shadow couldn't reach, she set down the collar and leash.  Lastly, she set down the dog bowls in another corner of the room--filled with food and water, of course.  Then she put the toys nearby Shadow's bed.

"There! All ready for you."  Shay smiled, then sat down in the middle of the room.  "Let's teach you some basic commands.  Here, Shadow.  Here, boy," she said.

Kaze looked at her before running over to her and jumping in her lap whimpering and givng her a puppy dog look as if saying he was sorry.

Shay smiled.  "Ok, ok...You're forgiven."  She patted Shadow, then said, "Sit!"

 (Even bigger fail. DX )

"Good Job!  You sat!" Shay said, smiling.  She petted Shadow.  "Now, for your treat...."  She pulled out a bag full of different things.  Potato chips, medium-sized dog treats, a small dog bone, bits of special dog food, a bit of popcorn, and a bit more than that.

"Well, now one of these is for doing a single trick.  I have a toy full of peanut butter, too, if you do good the whole session.  But the session's not done, so which one do you want?" she said, holding up the bag.

"Ok, you take that," she said.  "Next, let's do lay down.  So... Lay down!"

 (Complete fail. :P )

"You'll get it back, ok?  Now come here and learn," she said.  "After the session, I promise you'll have it back.  And if you do good, you'll also have your peanut butter toy."  She picked up Shadow and hugged him.  "Now, come on."  She kissed him on top of the head, then set him back down.  "Lay down!" she commanded again.

(EDIT: Omg.  I just realized this: I kissed Kaze.  Except he was in puppy form.  But I think it still counts. O.O Omg.)
