Ara's voice was strong and beautiful. So was Ace and Glimmer's except Glimmer's voice sounded a little more light and dainty, like windchimes. All three girls were going wild, laughing and jumping around on the bed as well as hitting eachother with pillows. Their singing wasn't exactly synchronized but the girls were having a great time. They were messy and even a little wet because Glimmer didn't realize when she was flinging salt water around which caused a whole new round of laughing. It was like Ara, Ace, and Glimmer had been best friends for a lifetime, not a single thought about their quarrels and earlier experiences. Even the boys were forgotten... Drake, Eric, and Angel were bored out of their minds. There was nothing to do. They hated this room. Loud music was blaring from the room next door, the girl's room. Where did they get a radio when we don't have sh.it? Thought Drake. He had already finished the bag of chips and two sodas. Then Drake sat up. He looked at Angel then Eric the newbie. "Dudes, I'm freaking sick of this. There's absolutley nothing to do and this hotel room sucks. The girls are obviously having way more fun, whatever they're doing. Let's go join them. You got the keys, Angel?" Eric nodded in agreement, "Sounds good to me. I'm all for it." He and Drake stood up. "Come'on, Angel." Drake said, and they walked out the door. Arachelle, Aceya, and Glimmer didn't even notice when the door clicked and the doornob twisted. But when it swung open where the boys were waiting, Ara froze. Her eyes were wide and her cheeks got red. And she didn't even know that was possible. She didn't see Ace and Glim's reactions. She was staring at Drake, Eric, and Angel. The guys were stunned. They were very surprised to see the three ladies having this much fun. Hot girls dancing around in their underwear and shirts? Cool. Drake just raised his eye brows and Eric's surprised face broke into a grin. Everyone was sort of shocked. |

Angel snickered. For an angel, he seemed quite mischevious. Crossing his arms, he faced the embar*censored*ed girls. "What's this?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "Having this much fun without us?" Drake and Eric smirked from next to Angel. Everything was quiet fir a while, until chaos broke out. "Aahh!" The girls screeched, their shreiks echoig around the large room. All three girls were holding pillows in their arms, Ace's shredded by claws, Glimmer's completely soaked with salt water, and Ara's? Seriously broken. All of the girls' hair was doused in water, and since salt water tended to make you sticky, they had clumps of feathers sticking to their bodies. The girls hastily covered their bodies up with their mangled pillows, but when that didn't work, Ace tackled both Ara and Glimmer onto the floor behind the bed, where they couldn't be seen. There on the door were their shorts, and they quickly pulled them on, before jumping back up to face the boys. Blushing, they were all. Ace was the first to react. "You dam* bas*ards, we're gonna get you for this!" And that's how the three boys ended up back in their rooms, layig on the floor with giant lumps on their heads and black eyes and bloody noses. But they still had huge smiles on the faces. |

Ara was seething with anger and embar@ssment. That was so horrible. She couldn't believe that the boys caught them like that. That had to be the most awfully memorable moment she'd had in fifty years. There was no more play after that. Everyone went to bed. Ara hoped that Drake, Eric, and Angel never healed from their intervention and hoped they learned their lesson. On top of that, they needed to pay the hotel for a lot of stuff. Ara hoped Ace had the money. When morning came, Ara woke up with a headache. "Whoa did that seriously just happen last night?" She asked herself. And she hadn't actually needed to sleep for a long time. Ara guessed she was just really worn out. When Drake and Eric woke up, they stretched and rubbed their sore spots. The bruises were getting purple. Thos girls knew how to fight. But they shouldn't have been so sensitive and immature about it. Drake thought it was cute. Eric was just surprised, but not in a bad way. They decided to apoplogize. Guess they should have knocked. Well, at least it was morning. |

Ace nodded. She was already up, pulling on her tanktop over her head. She was wearing her shorts and tanktop ensemble, and now she was busy lacing up her boots. She had ditched her fishnets and thrown them in the trash the night before, seeing as she already had more at home, and the ones she had been wearing yesterday were already ripped and torn. Don't get her wrong, she loved ripped jeans and stuff, but she couldn't stand it if it was fishnets or tights or socks or whatever. She just couldn't stand it. Glimmer was next to her, already wearing her clothes. Her hair was combed through and still wet hanging down her shoulders. "We're going shopping to get new clothes," Glimmer told Ara. "Ace was about to wake you, but now that you're up, I guess that's no longer needed." And obviously the way Ace would wake people up would probably by screaming in the poor sleeping person's ear and kicking them awake... Ace was scribbling a note on a piece of hotel paper she had found in the draw beside her bed. Her elegant sc

"Dont ever wake me Ace. I will be very angry because I sleep every few months and when I do it's much needed." Ara growled. She was a little grumpy, then she sighed. "Shopping. Uh, cool...I guess." There was a mall a couple blocks away. Did they really have to? She looked down at her current attire. It was an outfit that she had picked out at the magic island. She'd been wearing it for a week and it was worn, torn, and dirty. She guessed she needed some new stuff. After all, she didn't bring a whole wardrobe when she traveled. She would not buy to much and it would be comfortable and casual but sexy. Maybe in black and red, or white. What would Angel like? Ara tried to shake a sudden recollection of last night's humiliating fiasco from her head. "Okay, let's go. I can buy something hot." She said, grabbing the hotel room keys. Then she realized she was becoming looser and acting more like a teenager. Huh.

Ace shook her head in disgust. "Dress like a normal person for once, Ara. Somthing that actually covers you up." she snorted. She shoved the room keys into her back pocket, along with her credit card. Once they were all out of the room, Ace taped the note to the door, then locking it. "Come on, let's go," she sighed, heading for the staricase. As they walked toward the stairs, they p*censored*ed three guys. None of them were humans, and they glared at eachother for a while before they dissapeared around the corner. One of them had been a shapeshifter, one an old vampire, and another a merman. But neither of them looked the slightest bit nice, and each of them had pitch black hair and red eyes. But what were they doing there? Ace shook her head. [She saw the people that they're supposed to fight later in the story. Remember?] --- They were half-way through looking in the mall. They were eating at the food court, their bagsgathered around them. Glimmer had bought countless amounts of bathing suits, Acehad bought a newpair of shorts, another pair of ripped skiny jeans, and several shirts. She hadtossed her boots out after they got to a shoe store, replacng the old leather ones for a pair of knee-high boots with four inch heels. Yea, Ace was all about the heels. |

Ara did not end up buying stuff she thought she would. Instead of stuf that made her look like a ho, she got some nicer clothes that looked more natural. They still highlighted her curves and beauty but she looked like an average teenager. She got two new pairs of jeans and three shirts as well as a pair of sneakers and a backpack for it all. She could stash it at the secret place where she hung out when they got back. But what surprised her was that she had gotten one black shirt, one white and red shirt, and a pink shirt. She didn't know what she had been thinking but at the time, she had loved it. Maybe later she would get a cell phone. She hoped Angel liked her new wardrobe. When they were walking back through the halls of the hotel, a memory rushed back to her. It was earlier when they were leaving when they saw the others. A shapeshifter, a mer, and a vampire. That was just to creepy. All she could do was stare at the three me. They just looked so wrong. Yet, she could have sworn she'd seen the vamp before. Well, maybe she had seen him before. Ara was a couple centuries old. It was eery. Some wierd feeling rushed into her but she shook it off. Wierd. Then she focused on the present. Upon their arrival back at the hotel, Ara hopped in the shower to wash up quickly. She came out wearing the new white and red t-shirt and some bootlegged jeans and flipflops she forgot she even bought. Refreshed, she places her knives in her bag. Then she went to visit Angel. |

Ace sighed as she looked at the bags of clothes Ara had gotten. Of course, the little leech couldn't have put her clothes away, could she? Ara grabbed Ara's bags and headed over to the dressers. Opening one of the draws, she pulled out the clothes Ara had bought, plucked off the tags, refolded them expertly, and then did she put them nicely into the draws. She kicked the draw clothes before heading over to her bags. Fishnets, shorts, pants, loose capris... Check check check and check. Shirts, tanktop, skirt? Check, check and check. While she was there she had bought bandages for her arm, because she had decided she didn't want to show anyone her arm.It probably would've been weird if people found she had a giant black scar winding around her arm the week she got back from her trip. Sighing, she grabbed a few clothes from her bag and headed into the bathroom. --- Angel looked up when he heard a knock on the boy's hotel room door. He grumbled as he sat up, standing up only to walk over toward the door. Pulling it open, he looked down. "What do you want?" he asked, not bothering to look up to see who it was. Upon seeing sandals, he noticed it was a girl. Oh crap. What if it was Ara? And sure enough, whem he looked at the girl's face, he found Ara's glaring back at him. "Uh, sorry... I didn't know it was you," he put his hands up in a please-don't-kill-me motion. "Well, you can do whatever you want Ara, but I'm crashing here. No dates for me," he said as he walked back over to the couch, crashing onto it head first. He really was tired. --- Glimmer admired her reflection in the mirror. She was braiding her long hair with skillful fingers until she head a song playing. The song was coming from the couch... She tied a ribbon around her hair, before waltzing over to the couch. She had been too late in choosing a bed the night before, she had had to sleep on the pullout couch. It actually was comphy, but Glimmer prefered to sleep floating in water or on the soft see-bed. Finding the song was her ring-tone, which actually was "Keep me hanging on" she flipped open her phone. Going with her cl*censored*ic approach, she said, "Hello, Glim Finn here," before pausing in hearing the voice. "Ugh fine, Glimmer Waterfin here, what do you want Al?" She paused. "Kay. So the cars'll be here tomorrow?" she listened some more. "Kay. Bye." She hung up. |

Ara shrugged. "Oh, okay." And she went to sit on the couch beside him. Her eyebrow furrowed. "Are you okay, Angel? You look really stressed, did you get enough sleep? Last night I dreamed about someone." She said innocently. Then she sighed. "I feel like I'm becoming more like a human. More like a teenager instead of someone thats centuries old. Angel, is that good or bad?"

Angel waved his hand in the air in an I-don't-care-right-now gesture. He groaned ito his pillow. "Lemme sleep," he grumbled, wrapping his arms around his head. "That's great Ara," he grumbled some more, not really paying attention to what she was saying. Dam.mit, do girls always act like this? Annoying you right when you don't want to be annoyed? he thought as he felt Ara sit beside him. "I'm just tired." he confirmed. Always worrying about their looks, about whether or not they're presentable... --- Ace stepped out of the shower as she heard Glimmer knock on the door. "Ace, are you in there?" She heard the mermaid call. Ace sighed and wrapped her body in a fluffly towel. Opening the door, she poked her head out, her wet hair handing down her shoulders, leaving a mess of water on the floor. "I just wanted to say that the cars'll be hear tomorrow," Glimmer paled at seeing Ace's ex
pression. With that, Ace closed the door on her friends face. "Kay!" she called through the door. She heard Glimmer's footsteps dissapearing out the front door and heard the door close. Ace walked over to the counter, where she had folded her clothes neatly into a pile. Pulling on a pair of loose capris, winding her arm in a fresh bandage, and slipping into a form-fitting shirt, she pulled her dripping wet hair into a pony-tail before opening the bathroom door. |

Ara just sighed and let him sleep. She held his hand. Oh well, guys were just like that. If you couldn't decide something then guys would never help because their either too dumb to answer, or were to lazy and didn't care. They just give you the "Yeah, whatever." ... Eric knocked on the girl's door. Drake was behind him. They wanted the girls to go to Starbucks with them for some coffee. Ara was with Angel and Angel didn't look like he felt like going. Besides, being an angel he might not appreciate caffeine. And Eric really wanted to get to know Ace. |

Ace sat up from watching TV. Grumbling, she walked over to the door. Peeking through the little hole thing, she saw two boys staring transfixedly at her door. Sighing, she wrenched the door open, keeping it from swinging back in place with her foot while crossing her arms. "And what do you want?" she had asked. ... A dozen minutes later, Ace and Glimmer had their arms interwined. They were skipping toward Starbucks, both girls excited about getting coffee. When they arrived, Ace ran directly to the counter, knocking a random person out of the way. He glared at her and did a very rude gesture with his fingers before stalking off. "How rude," she coughed, before turning to the person behind the counter. "I'll take a Razzberry Mocha Capachino. And that-" she pointed to a doughnut-"also. My friend here'll take an iced tea." she stepped back to let the boys go. Once everything was ordered, they sat down at one of the tables. Ace poured a ton of milk in hers, whereas Glimmer unscrewed the cap of the salt shaker and dumped the entire thing of salt in her iced tea. "This is really good and all," Glimmer said after a few minutes, "but I have to go." she pushed in her chair. "I'm supposed to finish an english a-ssignment, and I haven't even started it." Ace snorted. "You're worrying about that now?" Either way, Glimmer left. |

Glimmer was very fast. "Hey, Glimm! Wait up! Maybe I can help!" He called. Turning to Ace and Eric he said, "I'll go see if that mermaid needs my aid." Then he jogged off, leaving his sugarless, creamless, coffee untouched. The truth was that he wasn't going to help Glimmer with homework. He was to dumb for that. He thought it would be just to akward with Ace and Eric there. ... Eric stared after Drake as he ran away. Then he returned his gaze to Ace. Wow, she was pretty. "So...how's that drink?" He said akwardly, a failed attemp at conversation. Then his eyes traveled down her arm where there was a white bandage. He noticed she was wearingit when she helped him in the ocean. What happened? He was just curious. "Ace, did you hurt yourself?" Eric said, his head jerked in the direction of her bandaged arm. Concern colored his tone. |

"Oh, it's really good," she laughed, talking another sip of her coffee. The taste was great, but once it left, it was replaced with a bitter taste, so she took another sip, savoring the taste. "Wanna sip?" she offered her cup to Eric. Though as she was handing it to him, she couldn't help but notice his amazing green eyes. So vivid and forest-like... Ace loved forests. And his radiant red hair... she shook her head, hearing his question about her arm. "It's a burn mark. By a Devil's ghost. It got me, and it burned my arm pretty badly. There's a scar that winds around my forearm, reaching to my shoulder. It's completely black. It looks like a coiling snake wrapping around it, and it's black. I just don't think that humans will apreciate seeing it in public." she trailed off.

"Uh, n-no thanks." He stuttered. Was it her that made him go speechless? Then he remembered her arm. That sounded bad. He'd once seen a ghost in the distance but never up close. Then a thought occured to him. Hm, Ace had been burned. He looked around to make sure no people were watching. Everyone was absorbed with stuff other than a couple of teenagers. Then he gently touched Ace's hand looked into her georgous sparkling eyes as if to say, "may I?" Then slowly turned her arm over where the end of the bandage was tied and started unraveling it. He knew her smooth skin was regular temperature but it felt cool against his because of his very high temp.

BFF sisters, hoyea!] Ace stiffened as Eric started to undo the bandages on her arm. His fingers were surprisingly warm, and Ace loved it. But all the same, she didn't want anyone touching her arm. She pulled her arm from his grasp, shaking her head. "I'll show you later," she sat up, carefully rewinding the bandage on her arm. She leaned in. "And did you see the people in the hotel?" she whispered, as not to be heard ny anyonein the crowded starbucks. "When Ara, Glimmer and I were on our way to go shopping, we saw three creatures go by. They were all guys, one a merman, another a male shapeshifter, like me, and a male vampire. They all had black hair and freaky red eyes." ----- Rafi yawned, waking up. At two in the afternoon, she rubbed her eyes and ran a hand through her long wavy brown curls. Sitting up she stretched like a cat, hearing her back pop. Delighted, she juumped out of bed, remembering that she had ran over to the store the day before and had bought some cinnamon rolls. The thought of the delightfuland warm roll made her mouth water, so she ran downstairs to shove the thing in the oven. She sat infront of the oven, waiting with wide eyes for the oven timer to ring. Maybe her sister would want one too?
