[[Nanight! <3]]

Lacota grinned and hugged his best friend back, although it was a slightly forced grin. He didn't like the feelings that came to his mind when she hugged him. ''Calm down, calm down, Sanae!'' He chuckled. It was just like Sanae to ask endless questions, one after the other like that. ''I'm not ill now, but I was. I had a chest infection, which is why I was out of school. I lost my voice and knew you'd make fun of me.'' He laughed again, good-naturedly teasing her. ''No, I don't need food. That is such a random question.'' Lacota shook his head, deciding there was no one quite like Sanae.

The truth was, though, he hadn't needed food for the past week. He'd been starving, but every time he tried to eat any solid food at all, he'd ended up choking it back up. It had been after about two days of that that the incident with his sister had happened. He wasn't sure what was happening, but it wasn't good as far as he was concerned.

[[ Woohoo, back on :D ]]

"I would've helped you ask questions for the teacher and order your lunch, Lacota!" Sanae rolled her eyes a little at his comment, though she broke into another smile. "You sure? Everyone knows that I'm the best cook, and you kind of look like you're not feeling 100 percent today." She said with a hint of worry. The truth was, everyone knew that Sanae was a terrible cook, even her parents wouldn't let her into the kitchen unless she was supervised.

[[ Hurr, sorry for the short posts, I'm in a bit of a rush ono ]]

''Sorry, Sanae, but I'm really not hungry. When I do feel like trying some more of your... delicious food, I'll come right over.'' Lacota laughed, shaking his head and sending his jet black hair everywhere. ''Besides, I find that hundred percent thing very insulting,'' he sniffed, feigning a hurt look. ''But anyway, enough about how much you make me cry. How have you been?''

[['Tis fine. :3]]

"I just look out for my best friend's well-being, you know." Sanae sighed as she pulled Lacota into her house, closing the door before the bugs had the chance to fly in. She shrugged at his question. "I've been how I've always been, studying and getting the usual 97% on tests..." She started to emit an unpleasant aura. "Stupid Julia got a 100%, that shouldn't be possible." Sanae muttered, then turned around and gave Lacota another pleasant smile.

"So nothing much has changed in a week, though the teachers are on the edge. You've got a car-load of work to do when you get back to school, you know." Sanae's attempt to use American phrases had once again failed, although she didn't catch that mistake.

[[ Sooo yeah, I'll be attempting to add more voice into my posts, and Sanae's slip-ups will occur every now and then owo ]]

[[LMAO. Not too bad. I knew this person from France once who asked me how many pebbles I weigh. |D]]

Lacota went willingly into her house, as if it made a difference whether he was willing or not. Sanae would get her way one way or another. Her first comment bugged him, though. She just looked out for his well-being... Why wasn't he doing that? Coming to her home based on an excuse he gave himself that it was so she didn't worry wasn't looking out for her well-being at all.

''Don't you mean a truck-load?'' He mused, giving a small chuckle at his friend's mistake. She always made little slip-ups like that, and they always made him laugh. ''Yeah, I know. I've been studying for the tests I missed, though, so I should be more or less ok.'' He was distracted, not really focusing on their conversation, even though he tried to.

[[ HAHAHA, I do kind of understand how you feel. I'm fluent in English, though my Chinese-background parents aren't, so I'm always helping them out with phrases and idioms xD ]]

"Oh, potatoes and tomatoes, Lacota!" Sanae stopped and face-palmed herself when she realized her second mistake. She was really out of it today... Attempting to light-heartedly shrug off her mistake, she quickly darted into the kitchen to fish out a juice-box from the frige, walking out calmly.

"Want one?" She asked, sitting down on the living room couch and looking up expectantly at her friend, knowing he would do the same. "And I'm glad you studied, because I will need a study-partner!" Sanae said. "You know, to test me on our subjects. I'll help you too, of course." She grinned.

[[ I couldn't resist adding in the second mistake, since I actually said it back in middle school. Still not getting over it :x ]]

[[LMAO. I actually miss that French gal now. :c She had to go back to the Congo [Yeah, she wasn't actually french, just from a french-speaking part of the Congo]. I feel so sorry for middle-school-you. |D]]

Lacota laughed when she said 'potatoes and tomatoes'. Had she seriously just said that? ''Whatever you say, Sanae.'' He flopped down onto the couch next to her when she came back, and shook his head. ''No thanks, I'm good.'' He smiled a bright, cheery grin before getting onto the topic of studying.

''And you know I suck at being a study partner. Whether I study or not, I always fail and you know it.'' He laughed again, keeping the smile plastered onto his face. ''I'll still question you out of the book, anyway, so at least you won't fail.''

[[ It seems like my school isn't quite as diverse as yours o_o It's mainly just the Asians and the Americans '3' And yes, I do feel sorry for middle-school-me too xD ]]

Sanae tilted her head to one side a little, noticing Lacota's overly cheerful behavior. He was never this smiley, especially on the subject of grades. Definitely not feeling 100% today. Sanae thought, trying to push the nagging thought away and telling herself that she shouldn't be bothering someone who just recovered. Sensitivity was not one of Sanae's strong points, but she did want to play it safe when it came to her friends.

"You know me, Lacota. I won't fail!" Sanae felt like puffing her chest out in pride. "Maybe I'll finally get first place." She wondered out loud, then shook her head. "Nah, I'll definitely get the best score." She added with much more confidence in her voice.

[[ Ergh, it's late and I should really sleep now. 'Night! :3 ]]

[[Lawls. This was my primary school, but we do have some people from other countries in the school I'm in now as well. In primary, there were no Americans, but mostly Irish, English, that girl from the Congo, and this lad who was half Australian and half Asian. |D]]

''Well, I knew you wouldn't fail. You're a brain-box.'' Lacota replied, laughing, as he tapped his head to show what he meant. ''And I'll make sure you come in first. I'll quiz you so hard, you'll forget your name before you forget any of the test junk.'' He laughed again, but decided he was maybe over-doing it a little, and made a mental note not to laugh so much any more.

''So, if you have your books here, I'll start testing you.'' He was glad she seemed so happy and confident. He liked seeing Sanae like that; it was how she should have been the whole time, and he sometimes wished he could make it so she was like that the whole time.

[[G'night! <3]]

[[ Woo, back on :D ]]

"Lacota sure is cheery today." Sanae wondered out loud, then pursed her lips when she realized what she had just said.

[[ Uh... Really sorry for the short post, I'm not sure how to carry on the conversation and how to add on :x ]]

[['Tis ok; I didn't really give you much to reply to. ^.^"]]

Lacota smiled again at her when she commented on him being cheery that day. ''Hehehe... Yeah, I'm just glad to see you is all, I havn't seen you in ages.'' He grinned as if that was all, before trying to change the subject. ''How are your parents, by the way?'' He asked, tilting his head to the side. It gave him something else to talk about, in the least.

[[ So, question, can Lacota only feed on blood now, or can he also take other forms of food? ]]

"Oh, they're fine, nothing much." Sanae said, not wanting to pursue the previous subject. "Nothing really changed in the week you were gone, Lacota." She grinned. "Dad's just out golfing with his colleagues, and mom is out shopping for groceries. Naturally, she went before I woke up." Sanae gave a little ticked off 'hmph', knowing that her mother didn't want Sanae to associate with cooking at all

[[Just blood for now. I think it makes it more interesting. x3]]

Lacota gave a small chuckle. Sanae's mother really was against her daughter cooking, wasn't she? Maybe she was just afraid she'd end up killing someone with food poisoning one day, although so far they'd been pretty lucky. ''I can see it hasn't.'' He said, grinning. Deep down, though, he was thinking of just how wrong that statement was. Everything had changed, and almost all of it for the worse. He considered telling Sanae for just a moment, but in the end common sense won over and he decided against it.

[[ Alrighty then lD It's Saturday in this RP, right? o.o ]]

Sanae was going to start bickering with Lacota when he chuckled about her mother not bringing her along for shopping, but she noticed the immediate ensuing silence. Sanae narrowed her eyes, she could almost feel like something was up with Lacota. "Are you sure you're feeling awesome today, Lacota?" She asked him, placing a comforting hand on his nearby arm. Sanae was a very touchy-feely girl, not knowing what 'personal space' meant.

[[Yuz. |D]]

Lacota clenched his jaw as Sanae touched him, but shook himself out of his thoughts and grinned at her. ''Of course I am! Never felt better.'' He said, smiling still, but racking his mind for something to talk about- anything- to change the subject. ''Well, maybe not as great as that time when we went to the fair and I ate so much cotton candy I nearly puked, but good.'' He laughed, hoping the memories would distract her.

[[ Would you think Lacota would freak out/get mad if Sanae presses on, true to her nature? Sorry for all the questions, it's 11 PM at night and I just need a break from my French and English homework :x ]]

"Ew, Lacota, why would you want to bring that up?" Sanae groaned, though she smiled a bit. "Well, well or not, everyone could use a bit of fresh air!" She stood up and pranced to the door, looking over her shoulder and expecting her friend to do the same. "Come on Lacota, you need your morning walk." She grinned.

[[Hehehe, probably. But it's Sanae, and I dun want her to get OOC. Plus, it's funny when Lacota freaks out, because he comes crawling back with his tail between his legs after like a little puppy. xD]]

Lacota went willingly with his friend, glad she seemed to have become distracted. He didn't, however, like how her wording made him sound like a pet dog or something. ''I'm coming. And you do know I'm not a puppy, right?'' He asked, but he was grinning still, so the effect of sarcasm was lost just a little. At least, not all the time, he thought, but left that bit out.

[[ Haha, thanks x3 And of course Sanae will welcome Lacota back with open arms :d ]]

"But puppies are so cute." Sanae replied, opening the door and continuing her prance. She had quite a lot of energy this morning, skipping her way out of the front yard and out to the sidewalks. "Come on! You're so slow, Lacota!" Sanae waved cheerily at her friend a few meters away. She actually didn't have anything planned for the day asides from studying, so Sanae thought she could depend on her friend for the morning and afternoon schedule outside.

Lacota rolled his eyes and did a small sprint to catch up with her, walking quickly next to her. ''Haha, very funny, Sanae.'' He said sarcastically. ''Wow, you're just full of life today, aren't you? You must've been stuck inside for a while studying to be this active.'' Lacota mused, grinning and giving a small chuckle.

[[Lawls, np. Course she will, Lacota's just such a cuddly puppy. xD]]

"Studying is my life." Sanae stated with a hint of pride in her voice. Most teenagers didn't take pride in their study habits, but Sanae, a normally selfless girl, would flaunt her efficiency and grades. "So, where do you want to go today?" Sanae asked Lacota, hoping that his reply wouldn't be 'I don't know, where do you wanna go today?'. It had happened so many times in the past that the two would wind up wandering aimlessly around the town, sometimes making a few circles around buildings and weirding out innocent bystanders.
