(Because I can)
Anyways, here's the link to the old thread in case we loose it again somehow:
http://www.rescreatu.com/forum/cat/games/rp/this-isn-039-t-your-normal-pokeomn-rp-c-/
That's all of the rules and stuffs on it so I don't have to re-post them. I'm thinking we have the same plot as last time, since it was a very nice plot. I'll post my character in the next post and I'll put yours there too if you want to keep them the same.

Name: Allora Silverfield

Gender: female

Age: 15

Appearance: Blonde straight hair, dark eyes, fun fashion sense

Personality: Totally just excited to be with her pokemon. Very competitive. She is very aesthetically sensitive; she can see the beauty and potential in almost anything. She is very quick to judge and doesn't trust people very easily. These are her biggest flaws. She loves battling, but more interested in modeling and Poke-modeling (if that's a thing, which it should be :D)

Starter Pokemon, Gender, Moves, Whether it is Shiny or not, and Nickname (if there is one):
Eevee
Female
Sand attack, return, tail whip, attract
not shiny
nicknamed Glitter
Your Occupation: Fashion designer, for both people and pokemon!

History: Her parents are both breeders in kanto. She started off battling, but realized that she would rather dress up her pokemon than watch them beat each other to a pulp. But that doesn't mean she isnt good at it.

Other: She plays piano and violin. She has an older brother named Andrew who beat the gym challenge in Kanto and caught her eevee for her. Her best friend Cali still lives in Kanto and collects fire pokemon. She decided to come to sinnoh because the unova gym leaders are randomly there and Elesa is her fashion idol, and she would LOVE to battle her

Name: Jade
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Appearance:

Personality: Jade is the kind of girl that's just plain fun to be around. She's sweet and bubbly and tries to make everyone smile, even if she doesn't like them. She can have extreme bouts of anger though, and has no problem putting people who disagree with her in their place. She is very smart and overly proud of it, and she'll spew random factoids of information just to show off.
Pokemon: Zorua, Shiny, Female. Nickname-Midnight. Move set- Dark Pulse, Incinerate, Sucker Punch, Substitute. Midnight has an everstone, so she'll never evolve.
History: Her parents fought a lot when she was little, and eventually they divorced. Her father took her to his pokemon ranch in the forest, so she was essentially cut off from all human communication, and she never saw her mother again. She developed an extremely strong bond with Midnight, for she would turn into a human girl and play with Jade when Jade was lonely. When Jade started on her journey, Midnight wouldn't leave her alone, so she took her as her first pokemon.

((Yup, that list works :3 ))

Jade turned around wide eyed at the city in which she was standing. It was massive, with gleaming skyscrapers, wide streets, and most impressive and noticeable of all, a giant contest center.

We're here, Midnight. Jubilife city. This is where all of our practice, everything we've ever trained for, will start to be worth something.

Midnight made a purring sound and rubbed against Jade's neck. The shiny Zorua was certainly a sight to behold, a rather rare pokemon indeed. Jade was extremely lucky to call Midnight hers, if she could indeed do so. For Jade did not choose Midnight; Midnight chose Jade, and if anything, Jade belonged to the pokemon.

You ready to sign up for the contest, girl?

Midnight purred again and braced herself against Jade's shoulder, for they both knew that any second Jade would no longer be able to contain herself. She would burst out at a full sprint towards the contest hall, the freedom of the open road completely taking over. And that is exactly what happened. Jade full out sprinted to the contest hall, knocking into quite a few people along the way. Finally the giant building towered above her, and she was standing in front of the receptionist's desk, almost too tired to get the words out.

I'm.... I'm Jade. I'd like to sign up for the contest, please.

The receptionist smiled at Jade. "First contest, dearie? I can certainly tell you're excited. Here, I'll sign you up. Could you please show me the pokemon you'll be competing with?"

Jade smiled. Yes, this is my first contest. And I'll be competing with Midnight, she's right here.

She picked Midnight up off the ground from where the pokemon was sniffing around. Midnight wailed in protest, but Jade shut her up with a glare and let the receptionist look at her.

This is her ma'am, my baby. Isn't she so pretty?

The receptionist looked wide-eyed at the pokemon. The Zorua giggled at the attention, jumped out of Jade's hands, and started strutting around on the receptionist's desk. The poor lady looked to be in a state of pure shock.

Eventually the lady regained some of her composure and attempted to speak with Jade. "You h-have a Z-z-zorua? And it's sh-sh-shiny? Oh my."

Indeed, ma'am. No if you don't mind, I really need to start practicing for the contest, could you please sign us up?

"Oh, yes, of course. Here's the name badge you need, it'll tell everyone you're allowed in the contest area. Good luck sweetie."

Jade nodded, picked up the badge, and walked away, scooping up Midnight as she left. Midnight giggled and tried to squirm out of Jade's arms, but she gave her another scolding look and the Zorua stopped.

I wonder if we'll meet anyone nice here, Midnight. Everyone seems to be astonished by you, the don't seem to want to talk to us very much.

For indeed, they were attracting a lot of stares from people along the street, and even a few glares. Jade started to wonder if leaving home was really such a great idea after all, if everyone was just going to act so hostile around her.

Allora walked out of the Jublife TV station, cradling Glitter in her arms. Her sheer white button down and waist high pink skirt matched perfectly with her Gucci black heels and Louis Vuitton purse. She smiled brightly and looked at the eevee."That was perfect, don't you think? Our first time on TV in Sinnoh... I absolutely loved that stylist too! Didn't you?"

The little eevee's ear twitched in agreement, causing the soothe bell tied around her neck to jingle. Her freshly groomed coat shone with conditioner, and she purred with happiness.

Allora smiled. "Great! I'm super excited about that modeling offer we got too. It's not for a few months though, so let's hope you evolve by then!"

"Eev!" Cried Glitter. She jumped down from Allora's arms and grinned up at her.

Allora laughed. "Well, let's head over to the schoolhouse and see if there's been any new discoveries in typing since we checked last."

She and Glitter began to make their way over to the pokemon school. As they neared the entrance, they could see a crowd gathering in the courtyard. Allora picked up Glitter so she wouldn't get lost and made her way to the front of the crowd.

"Unlock your pokemon's hidden power!" A man was saying to the crowd. "Take these TMs and unlock the hidden potential of your pokemon!" He looked at Allora. "You! Ma'am. Have you ever wondered what secrets your pokemon's power might hold?"

Allora glanced around. "Me? Well... no. Do you know?"

He closed his eyes and crossed his arms, completely silent. Allora stared in confusion. This guy must be crazy, she thought.

"I KNOW IT!" The man shouted suddenly. The crowd was now completely absorbed in their conversation. The man was making wild movements with his arms. Suddenly, he collapsed and laid on the concrete, with his arms spread out like a star.

"The hidden power of your eevee is... is... oh my." The man stopped, and looked Glitter over, wide eyed. "This is interesting... very interesting." Suddenly, he whirled around to face the crowd. "Show's over folks! I'll be here all week."

As the crowd dispersed, he turned back to Allora. "Come with me." He then turned and headed towards the contest hall.

Allora stood, mouth agape, wondering what had just happened, when Glitter jumped out of her arms and bounded towards the man.

"Wait for me!" was all she had time to say, and she sprinted after her eevee.

Jade was watching stunned at the man who was claiming to know the hidden power of pokemon when he yelled and fell on the ground in front of one of the trainers and her eevee. She looked up at Midnight, who gave her a mischievous grin.

Midnight, don't you dare, I'm warning you...

She didn't have time to finish, for the zorua hopped off of her shoulder and bounded playfully towards the distraught looking trainer and her excited looking eevee.

Midnight! Comes back here this instant! If I have to scold you one more time for running away I think I'll explode!

Midnight turned around, blew a raspberry at Jade, and started running faster. At first it seemed like she was aiming for the trainer, but then she turned courses, and it was more than obvious that she was going to try to tackle the eevee. The poor little thing was about 2/3 of Midnight's size, and Jade started to worry.

Midnight, get back here, please!

But by that time the Zorua was either long out of earshot or just tired of Jade. Jade looked around nervously and sprinted after the Zorua, careful to dodge the other pedestrians. Luckily, Jade was very small and very fast, so she had almost caught up to the Zorua by the time she could see the dark pulse glowing around it's paws. Jade screeched. She knew an unsuspecting pokemon could be seriously hurt by that dark pulse, she had seen it happen. Midnight had attacked one of the pokemon at her father's ranch, and it had barely made it, for the Zorua's highest stats were attack and special attack. And by the eevee's shiny coat and lustrous fur, it looked more like a model pokemon than an experienced fighter. Jade's nerve level shot to an eleven, and she sprinted harder, until it was obvious that if she didn't do something dramatic she wouldn't stop Midnight.

First she tried calling the pokemon back. It ignored her, the pokeball having no effect, and she cursed under her breath. There was really nothing else to do, no way she could stop her pokemon from hurting the other trainers pokemon.

Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind. She'd have to time it just right, but if she could get into the exact right spot... it just might work.

She ran so that she was directly behind Midnight instead of at an angle. They were still concealed by the large crowds, so she didn't think the eevee and its trainer had seen them yet (she hadn't caught sight of them for a while either, but Midnight seemed to know where they were) but soon they'd break out of the crowd and be too close to the trainer and its eevee for comfort.

Midnight broke out of the crowd, and, for a second, Jade lost her. Then she broke out of the crowd, caught site of her pokemon, and sprinted until the time was just right. She'd have one shot at this, and if not... she didn't really want to think of if not.

There! She put on her last little bit of energy and dove for the Zorua, barely catching its back legs. Midnight mewled loudly in protest and stared at Jade like she was the biggest party pooper in the world. Jade looked up and saw the dark pulse still swirling around her pokemon's paws; that meant that, despite the new cuts and bruises the sidewalk had just made deep in her skin, she had successfully managed to keep her Zorua from injuring the poor eevee.

Jade held Midnight tight against her chest, careful to pin the pokemon in her arms so there was no chance of escape. She got up off the ground and looked around for the eevee's trainer, reasoning that whoever it was deserved a major apology.

Glitter and Allora came to a screeching halt, as well as the mysterious man, who had been walking towards a small building behind the concert hall.

The three had all heard the same thing. A scuffle behind them, and a small pokemon crying out in what could have been annoyance or fear. Allora whirled around, and saw what looked like a panicked looking zorua with a scraped up girl holding its back legs. She stood and pinned the shiny pokemon to her chest, while it squirmed to get free.

"Vee!" growled glitter, and stood in front of Allora protectively.

"What are you doing to that pokemon?" Allora demanded. "Are you stealing it? Let it go!"

Glitter's paws glowed white with a prepared Return attack. Allora sized up the girl in front of her. She was shorter than Allora, (though Allora was also wearing four inch heels.) She looked well groomed but tired, and awful scraped up. She held onto that zorua like her life depended on it.

The zorua was a sight to see. Always one of her favorite pokemon to style, zorua had always held a special place in Allora's modeling heart. Though she had never seen a shiny one, and was becoming more distracted by the pokemon than its captor.

Both Midnight and Jade looked astonished at the thought of them not being partners, the thought that Jade was stealing Midnight. Midnight mewled again, this time in more of an apology than a gripe.

Stealing? What are you taking about, Midnight's mine. Of course, I'm relatively embarrassed to call her that, considering she almost just full out dark pulsed your out eevee for no good reason other than she thought it would be funny. She didn't mean to hurt it, of course, she just gets a little carried away in her pranks.

The Zorua mewled again, another seemingly forced apology. Jade glared at Midnight, a look of pure disapproval on her face, but she decided to let it slide just this one.

Anyways, I sincerely apologize for any possible danger that Midnight could have caused. I take full responsibility for her actions, I'm her trainer and that's my job. I'm Jade, by the way, and I apologize for not introducing Midnight here before I started calling her by her name, it might have confused you. In a contest trainer, and we're here to compete in our first contest together. And who might you be?

Jade held off her hand for a shake, making sure to keep a tight grip on the pokemon with her remaining hand. There was no way Midnight was getting away again.

She hesitated just a moment, eying Jade's hand apprehensively. The fact that a strange pokemon was going to attack her own dear Glitter had put her off just a bit, But She finally reached her own hand out, shaking firmly. "I'm Allora, and this is Glitter. We are here pioneering poke-styling in Sinnoh. We just finished our TV debut when we ran into..." she looked over her shoulder for the mystery man, but he was gone.

"Funny, he was right there," she mumbled. She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She bent and picked up Glitter, who had relaxed a little.

"Did you say you were entering a contest?" Allora asked, addressing Jade once again. "When does it begin?"

Jade looked around for the mystery man as well, and noticed that he was gone. She wondered if she'd run into him again, it would be interesting to see what he thought about Midnight.

She directed her attention back into Allora. In her nervousness to get signed up for the contest, she had actually forgot to ask when it started. She blushed furiously and looked at the ground to make a slight attempt at hiding it.

Erm, I was just so excited about my first contest, well, I forgot to ask when it started. I think it's either tomorrow or the day after, certainly not today, but I guess it just sort of slipped my mind. I'm sorry about that.

Midnight made a giggling sound in Jade's arm, obviously delighted by the mortified look on her trainer's face. The pokemon again attempted to squirm out of Jade's arms, but the trainer's vice-like grip remained. Jade seethed at the pokemon and muttered under her breath.

My gosh I've had it up to here with you today. Keep it up and you'll be in your pokeball until daybreak tomorrow, I swear.

Midnight immediately stopped and went limp like a wet noodle in Jade's arms. She looked like a deflated balloon, but Jade want really in the mood to care. Jade looked up apologetically at Allora.

Midnight has little... attitude fits occasionally. She'll go from happy and full of spunk to mischievous to pouty to downright depressed before you can bl
ink an eye; I regret that you had to meet her when she was right in the middle of one, she's normally so much better behaved than this.

Allora paused again, thinking carefully about what she said. She didn't want word getting out to everyone who she really was. She didn't even announce it on TV. She needed to establish herself in Sinnoh first before she allowed the general public access to her family name. Eventually it would come out, but it needed to be at the right time.

But she did need to sponsor someone first, and at the moment fate had presented her with a scruffy but determined looking contest undertaker. Allora knew that she would have to see what she could do on the floor before she could trust her with her secret.

In Hoenn, where contests originated, Howard Silverfield had made it his buisness to milk the contest atmosphere for all it was worth. It didn't take the entrepreneur long to start his own business, and strike it rich creating the aesthetically pleasing "ball capsules." His next big invention, the pokeblok creator, increased his fortune even further.

Her father's death was a tragic mystery, and Allora Silverfield had suddenly inherited the Silver Rose company on her 18th birthday. His death crushed her, and she left Hoenn. She had to escape his memory; the giant empty house and happy picture frames filled with bittersweet memories. She went to Sinnoh to start a life anew for herself, and to uphold the family name and company, by debuting her own personal invention; an invention thats first revealing would have to be perfect and wonderous.

The Silver Roses brand was known and respected by every contest trainer in the world. As the new owner of the company, Allora had ulterior motives for fleeing Hoenn. Whoever had murdered her father hadn't realized that he had left the company to Allora in his will. He hadn't realized that he would need to kill two people to dissolve the company permanently.

So not only was she on a mission for bringing the company back into the limelight, but also to be able to defend herself. Her father had believed in only beauty, but Allora believed that strength is beautiful too. She only wished that she had convinced her father to own even one strong pokemon for protection, and instead his Skitty and Pichu were no match for what homicide detectives announced was a Dusknoir and Weavile.

Allora once again shook her head and cleared her thoughts. She smiled at Jade. "The next contest is tomorrow at noon I think... I was planning on attending; I love to watch. I'll make sure I look for you, and maybe we can grab lunch afterwards?"

((So I've been trying to think of a loose plot in my mind as we go along:
Basically the only thing interesting the creepy dude saw in Glitter was that her hidden power is fairy type, and apparently for Eevee the hidden power is a sneak peek into their true evolution, the one that their personality and inner aura would fit perfectly. Though they can still evolve into any of the 7 evolutions. He thinks it's strange because so far Sylveon does not exist and the fairy type is JUST being discovered. That's why he's so fascinated.
Also, Allora is the new owner of the Silver Roses company, which is the Louis Vuitton of contest apparel. She doesn't want anyone to know who she is until she can become stronger. She wants to train her pokemon to not only be beautiful but to be strong and protective. She wants to build a protected estate with guard pokemon surrounding to protect herself. She's very conscious of her own safety, thanks to what happened to her dad. Her new invention is the "move designs" like in the last role play. Also, Team Whatever will try to steal those and use them to create super powered pokemon moves and take over the world blah blah blah.
Now I'm thinking that the guy that killed her dad is the guy that owns a sort of "copying" company of the Silver Roses. Still pretty popular, and more affordable, its the Gucci of contest apparel. He wants the company to dissolve without an heir. His company will be called something different, and it will be whatever Jade uses at first as far as clothing, ball capsules, makeup, ect. Once Jade performs in her first contest, Allora will reveal her secret and make her swear not to reveal it until she is told. Then they will travel together, Jade winning contests and Allora training her pokemon to become strong (plus modeling on the side.)
Eventually I'm thinking they will start to realize they are being followed, and stuff will go down. Idk I haven't gotten that far yet. But I don't know what you want for Jade that's just what I had for Allora I didn't want to write a backstory for your character! Gimme your thoughts and we can figure out how to combine them))

(( That sounds good :3 and do you mind if I do a time jump here? I'll edit it out if you do, I just don't see anything other than saying goodbye I can do until tomorrow ))

Jade's eyes lit up at the thought of having lunch with this trainer tomorrow. She seemed rather nice, and it would be interesting to get to know her.

That sounds wonderful! Midnight and I will certainly try to meet up with you tomorrow, lunch will be on me. Goodbye now, we need to go practice!

Jade smiled and waved goodbye, then ran off with Midnight to practice some of the more difficult moves for her contest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jade paced around in the waiting room of the contest, trying very hard to compose herself. This would be the first time they ever got to try out their skills in a contest, and although at first it sounded like it would be a blast, all she wanted to do now was throw up.
"Next up is Jade and her pokemon, Midnight! Let's give them a hand as they get ready to enter the stage!" Loud applause echoed from the room just outside that door. Midnight nuzzled Jade's leg and looked at her with big eyes.
You ready, girl?
The pokemon nodded, and Jade called her back into the pokemon and stuck the ball capsule on. It was a perfectly picked capsule for Midnight's personality, and she knew it would please the crowd.
Jade pushed through the doors and heard the roar of the screaming crowd. This was the moment. This was HER moment.
She to the crowd, her black and blue dress dress waving around her. It sparkled and shimmer as she moved with a dark sort of light, making her and her pokemon match quite nicely.
Come out, my dear Midnight, and show the world why you're the best!
The ball flew high in the air and opened. From it came wisps of dark smoke, the color of Midnight's body precisely. As the trail widened, wisps of blue smoke trailed in with the dark, and the smoke lit up with brilliant lights. The Zorua popped out of the ball, grinned, and did a little flip for the crowd. They went absolutely wild.
Let's start out small but beautiful Midnight; Why don't we light up with stadium with a Incinerate Pulse?
The pokemon nodded. Combination moves were their specialty, and they were always beautiful.
Midnight used incinerate, the warm glow heating up the stadium. As she used it, she let some dark pulse seep into the flames, causing her to somehow gain control of them. They flew into the shapes of many things, creating a beautiful array of lights. The darkness eventually grew and overtook the fire, causing it to loose all of its heat and dissolve into the air. Once again, the crowd went wild.
Wonderful girl. Now how about we give them some aerial maneuvers. Why don't we try a sucker punch on the ground?
Midnight nodded and charged up her sucker punch, the crowd breathless in anticipation. Eventually the Zorua looked at the crowd and smiled, then looked to Jade for her command. Jade blue and black ribbons bobbed as she nodded her head.
It's time, Midnight. Sucker Punch the ground and flip in the air while using incinerate.
The pokemon jumped and pounded the ground, propelling it far higher into the air than anyone expected. While in the air, Midnight flipped and spun while using incinerate, causing the flames to spiral around her in the air. It was spectacular, and for the third time the crowd went ballistic. Jade smiled as the Zorua landed.
Okay girl, you know what to do! Dark Substitute!
A giggling sound escaped the Zorua's throat. This had always been their best and favorite move.
Midnight used dark pulse and incinerate, encasing itself in what looked like a hard shell of dark fire. Then it used substitute, but instead of letting the substitute take its place, the Zorua jumped out of the way, causing it to contain the raw energy of the darkness and fire. The dummy trembled with energy, and looked as if would explode any second.
That's it girl, now throw it up into the air and use sucker punch! Make sure you jump up and let the effect encase you.
The Zorua did as Jade commanded, and the substitute flew in the air above Midnight's head. She jumped straight up and sucker punched the dummy.
And then the miraculous happened. The dummy exploded into a burst of darkness and flame, and for a second everything was pitch black. But then the fire kicked in, and the darkness started to shine with a strange light, creating and aurora-like effect.
Then Jade started to hear the crowd. They were all watching her Zorua as the pokemon stood in the middle of the dark aurora, the blue in her coat contrasting dramatically. She shimmered and glowed as she turned around and around, doing aerials and back flips. The crowd started chanting, and at first it was more of a murmur then a chant, but it grew louder and louder. "Midnight, Midnight, Midnight" until the entire coliseum was calling out the pokemon's name. Then the lights vanished, and the crowd grew still in awed silence.
Midnight, return.
The pokemon bowed as its pokeball sucked it back in. Jade bowed as well and walked back into the holding room, grasping Midnight's pokeball in her hand tightly.
We did it, girl. Those five years we spent at home training instead of adventuring, all those nights that I wanted to run away from dad, they're finally worth it.
She smiled and put the pokeball in her bag as she started to gather her things from the room.
Allora smiled as she watched the trainer in the shimmery black dress wave to the crowd and disappear back into the holding station of the contest hall. It's almost as if she could see exactly what the moves would do when combined with each other, before they were even executed, she thought.
Once again, she smiled to herself. That's exactly what I need.
After watching the last few contestants, and taking mental notes like always, she had decided on her favorite contestant. It was no contest really. Allora smiled to herself again, laughing at her mental pun.
There were only six entrants in this contest, and Jade had had one of the hardest positions. The third and fourth slot were often forgotten in the mix. But even being in the fourth slot, Allora could still hear murmurs of the people surrounding her, words like "shiny" and "zorua" and "substitute;" things that had all been unique to Jade's performance.
And her's really was the most unique. The other trainers had had overused pokemon and techniques; the usual buneary and piplup, minccino and shinx. The only unique pokemon aside from the zorua had been a riolu, and even that had been a boring set.
"Eev?" asked Glitter from her seat next to the stylist. The two had the best seat in the house from her private box.
"Yes, I think I will go with the strange girl from yesterday. She is quite good, and the shiny zorua is very unique, giving her an edge. She has just the potential and inexperience that we need to work with." She turned back to the contest. "We'll see what the judges say, though I think I can already guess their answer."
"Veevee!" cheered Glitter, who was more curious about the zorua than anything else. She was very excited to meet this new and quite striking pokemon.
Finally, it was time for the judges to make their decision. The six trainers and their pokemon lined up in the center of the arena. Judge Plume stood slowly, leaning on his cane, and, holding a piece of paper, leaned towards the mic and spoke.
"In third place of this quarter's Normal Rank Contest, we have... Sean, with his piplup Bubble!" The young boy jumped for joy, grabbed is pokemon, and ran to his spot on the pedestal. A bronze medal was hung on his neck, and he smiled broadly.
"In second place... Sarah, with her riolu, Brick!" Angrily, she stomped over to her pedestal and stood, seething, as the silver medal was hung over her neck.
"And in first place..." he paused for effect. "Jade! And her zorua..." but it was impossible to hear what he said next. The crowd was going wild, drowning out even his amplified voice in the dome of the contest hall.
Jade walked out onto the stage. The crowd was absolutely roaring; she couldn't hear the announcer congratulate her, and he waited for a while to continue to speak.
"In honor of her win, Jade will be presented with the shadow emblem; an oddly fitting ti
tle for her first contest. In addition to this, she will receive a months worth supply of pokemon food and five hundred dollars. Let's give her a hand!"
The crowd roared once more, and Jade bowed to them. She had forgotten about Midnight on her shoulder and the Zorua flew off, but Midnight pulled a spectacular stunt that made it look like the fall was coordinated, and landed on four paws after an impressive aerial.
Jade looked at the emblem for a moment. It was black and electric blue. As the announcer said, this was an oddly fitting first badge for them. Maybe it was an omen for their wins to come. She raised it in the air victoriously, enticing another roar from the crowd, and she smiled. Midnight jumped again onto Jade's shoulder and they waved goodbye to the crowd as the announcer shooed the winners off of the stage.
"Thank you for coming everyone, goodnight! As for the winners, we hope to see you at our next contest in Floaroma town!"
The doors closed behind Jade and she picked up her bag off of the floor. She ripped the ribbons that were holding her hair up out, letting her blonde waves bounce around her shoulders, and stuffed the ribbons into her bag. Midnight jumped in after the ribbons and curled up in the bag, instantly falling asleep. Jade was careful as she was leaving the building to not jostle Midnight too much.
Hm... I wonder where that Allora girl is.
It was a beautiful day outside. After the contest results had been announced, Allora had found herself a nice spot in the nearby park, with a perfect view of the contest hall's wide open doors. The picnic table she sat at was in the shade of a starf berry tree. These were Allora's favorite berries, and not for nothing. These berries sharply increase any random stat of a pokemon if their energy gets low, adding excitement and intensity to every battle.
Allora also liked to use these berries in her move designs. They were the most potent, she had discovered, and created the most consistent effects, which is surprising due to their sporadic nature during battle. It was almost like they were made for her, and she loved it.
They also tasted good, and were quite juicy. The blonde model picked a particularly large berry, and peeled the skin back from the tip. The inside of the berry was five different colors, and was sometimes sweet, and sometimes sour, depending on the season.
The springtime berries were sour, having just grown from their trees after a fruitless winter. This was also the best time to use them in her move designs, she knew.
Move designs: Allora's own personal invention. They were engineered to increase the aesthetic nature of pokemon moves during contests. For example, a simple flamethrower that could maybe be improved by having the pokemon twist, could suddenly sparkle, maybe with black stars. Maybe the fire could shape itself into a copy of the pokemon that had created it, and mimic its next action. Or maybe the flames could morph into intricate patterns in the air. Or maybe, the fire could snake along the ground, dancing with its creator and exploding into a shower of golden stars.
The options were endless, and Allora daydreamed of new ones, eating her starf berry until she caught a glimpse of Jade, making her way out of the contest hall with a bag over her shoulder, looking left and right. Stuffing a few more starf berries into her bag, she called to Glitter, and began walking towards the new contest winner.
Glitter reached her first, and headbutted the trainer's leg. Allora was right behind her. "Excellent job today, you were truly remarkable," she said sincerely. "I was thinking we could grab something to go, and maybe sit in the park? Glitter loves being outside, though maybe just to chase the bug pokemon." At this, Glitter gave Allora a halfhearted glare.
(( Sorry I haven't replied, yesterday was completely hectic for me ))
Jade smiled as she saw Allora walking up. Midnight poked her head out of the bag and looked down at Glitter. She pulled out her arm and swatted playfully in front of the eevee's nose. The zorua jumped out of the bag and trotted off in the directions of the nearby park, looking over her shoulder every couple of steps to see if Glitter was following.
I'd love to get lunch to go. Midnight and I are huge fans of the outdoors, though for a different reason. It reminds us a lot of all of the good times we spent training in the forest.
Jade flashed back to five years ago, when she had wanted to start on her journey. Her father had been convinced that she wasn't ready, and had refused to let her go. It had made her furious, and their relationship had never been the same.
Jade had cried for days after that. The pokemon of their farm had lost all of their appeal, along with almost everything else in her life. She'd go by the brook near their house and just cry and cry and cry.
Eventually, pokemon started to try to cheer her up. She hadn't really paid them much attention, they were just the same old buneary, pichu, and cottonee that she always saw on the farm. But eventually, a certain special pokemon jumped onto her back as she was hunched over crying. It had started to bounce up and down, obviously trying to get her attention. When she had sat up, it had back flipped off of her and landed in front of her, its wide eyes staring straight into hers.
At first, Jade had been scared, but then she realized the pokemon wasn't there to hurt her, and she decided to see what it wanted. It ran circles around her, mewling and giggling as it went. Eventually it started to run off into the forest, pausing every once in a while and letting Jade catch up to her.
They had become fast friends, and when they weren't playing with each other, they were training. They had known from the start they were made for contests, and they had wanted to revolutionize the con*censored* industry, turning it from a show of pretty moves to a show of not just beauty but the beauty in power. That's why their moves were not the normal set of a contest pokemon; they would never sacrifice power for beauty.
Jade snapped out of her revery. It felt like she had just relived the last five years of her life, but she knew she had only been flashing back for a couple seconds.
So, anyways, where would you like to get lunch?
Allora giggled as Glitter bounded after Midnight towards the park. "We'll be there in a second!" she shouted towards the two oblivious pokemon. "Whatever we decide to get, lets grab it quick, before our pokemon have too much fun without us!"
A man on the street was selling hot dogs. Allora saw him, and smiled sheepishly. "I know it's kind of cheap and unprofessional, but what about a hot dog? I've been craving one recently and the ones they sell on the street are the best kind!"
((If you want to say that I follow you over there in your next post that's fine, and I don't consider that "power playing." Or if you don't want a hot dog that's fine too :D))
(( Ah shoot I got so busy with exams I had no time to RP. I'm so sorry ;o; Oh, and for the power-playing thingy I'm just going to let you fill in the parts that I skipped. ))
Jade smiled. She loved hot dogs and so did Midnight.
I'd love a hotdog. Midnight! Come back here so I can get you some food!
The second the word food exited Jade's mouth, Midnight came bolting back, completely ignoring the new development of the eevee. There was nothing in the world that mattered more than food to the Zorua.
Jade walked over to the hotdog stand with Midnight in tow. She bought two hotdogs, one for Midnight with everything on it and one for herself that had nothing on it. She then walked over and sat on one of the park benches, making sure not to drop any of her food. Midnight contentedly slurped up her food, not paying any attention to the mess she was making.
She turned to face Allora.
So, um, did you want to talk about something?
