Markus let the white cigarette smoke curl around him as it rose in the air before disappearing. His crimson eyes were closed as he inhaled another drag, going over different reasons on why Calyx might've skipped school today. Though, none of them seemed to make sense in his mind. So he was gong to have to ask her himself whenever he saw her. The Greek hoped it was soon though. With a faint frown, he saw at the cigarette was gone. Flicking it away, he pulled out another and lit it up.
After a few more puffs, he scented her before he saw her. One crimson eye opened as he watched her walk towards the cafe conveniently placed behind him. Oh hey, when did that get there? Gods, he blinked. He returned his attention to the girl, now noticing she had two balls of fluff in her arms. A smirk quirked the corner of his lips.
"Kálykas?" he asked as she drew closer. Then, he pointed to the fluff balls in her arms and added with a smirk, "Eínai oi gátes ?"

Calyx had only noticed him when he had spoken. Out of habit, she always tilted her head down and watched the ground whenever she went. Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed his form leaning against a wall. When he spoke, she jumped, nearly stumbling over her own two feet as she walked. "W-What are you doing here?" She asked quickly, freezing in her tracks. Her eyes grew a bit wide.
There she was; her hair was a mess, she was in her pajamas, and she was holding a pair of cats. She squeezed the two closer to her and they let out a meow of complaint. "O-Oh, sorry.." She mumbled to the felines, releasing her grip. She coughed a bit at the smell of smoke, propping the two cats in her other hand as she raised her hand to cover her mouth as she coughed. "Y-You smoke?.." She mumbled, shivering again as a breeze rolled by.

Markus watched as she turned her gaze to him after she nearly tripped over her feet and freeze in her tracks. Well, that was amusing to say the least. "Den í̱tan sto scholeío sí̱mera kai écho̱ ani̱sychoún," he said, tilting his head to one side. After she apologized to the two cats for almost squeezing them, he nodded his head once before flicking away the aash.

"O-Oh.." Calyx mumbled, juggling the cats in both her hands. Once they had gotten comfortable, she glanced back up at him. She hated cigarettes, the smell was foul and she always coughed. Her body was sensitive to these kind of things. "W-.. Well I'm fine," She said after a moment, nodding a few times. "T-They're cleaning my room, and they kicked me out for a few minutes.. I was heading to the cafe.."

Markus frowned, but took another long drag of the tobacco stick before tossing it away as he exhaled the smoke so it just swirled higher into the air. Admittedly, he did use his control over the wind to make it happen. Just a small breeze, nothing major. His head cocked to one side. They kicked her out because they were cleaning her apartment? That just sounded so wrong. Maybe because he was used to having servants doing it silently in the background back when he still lived in Athens... Before he was turned and before he became a slave himself.
Suddenly, the brand on his shoulder blade flared with pain at the memory and he shifted his shoulder slightly to get the fabric of his shirt away from it.
"Tha í̱thela na sas syntrofév̱oun kai dýo gátes sas? Me tous trópous, poia eínai ta onómatá tous?" he asked, motioning towards the felines at his second question.
[[ Translation :: May I join you and your two cats? By the ways, what are their names? ]]

Calyx blinked. "Uh, sure, why not.." She murmured, nodding a few times.
She glanced down to the two felines, who purred in response. She motioned to the black kitten with a slight nod of her head. "That's Midnight there.." She told him, then turned her attention to the tuxedo tom. "And that's Tux." She finished, a slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Then she frowned, again reminded of the absence of Tom, the large tabby she had lost just a few days ago. She fell silent for a moment, then tilted her head back up to look at him. "Cafe allows cigarettes." She told him. "I-I have a few minutes before I can go back inside."

Midnight and Tux? Well, those names definitely fit the two cats since one was as dark as the night sky at midnight and the other looked like he was wearing a tuxedo. When he heard that the cafe allowed cigarettes, he shrugged. She obviously didn't like them, so he wouldn't smoke around her.
"Tha periméno̱ mazí sas méchri na gínei katharismós chó̱ro sas," he said, pushing himself off his sleek motorcycle. "Mólyvdos ton trópo. Tha sas akolouthí̱sei."

"Kay," Calyx mumbled, perching the black kitten onto her shoulder. Midnight was afraid of heights, so she would never jump down. She mewed and crawled onto her other shoulder, then back to where she had been placed the first time. After some more mewing and complaining, she eventually settled down on her right shoulder and began to knead her claws into Calyx's skin. She winced a bit, glared at the cat a moment then began to walk to the cafe.
She tilted her head to the side to see if he was coming, then disappeared into the dirty cafe. There were few people, she told herself with a sigh of relief. Tux wrinkled his nose at the smell; a mix of coffee and cigarettes. With some dog here and there. She sat herself down in a booth and set the black and white tom into her lap.

Markus followed after Calyx as he watched her put the little black she-kitten on her shoulders. The small black fluff ball mewed constantly before settling down on one of the girl's shoulders. He allowed his lips to twitch into a somewhat smile. Then, with one hand, he reached out and scooped the little kitten of the girl's shoulder and snuggled it up against his chest while gently rubbing one knuckle underneath her furry chin.
"Étsi... Ti kánete ston eléf̱thero chróno sas?" the albino asked as he sat down opposite of Calyx and Tux, keeping Midnight gently in his arms.

Midnight let out a mew of complaint when she was moved, though quickly settled down and began to purr softly. The kitten tilted her head up, her eyes closing in pleasure. Calyx couldn't help but let out a small laugh; the two looked so adorable. "D-Didn't know you liked cats.." She murmured with a smile. "She sure likes y-you.."
Tux lifted his head and eyed the albino warily, somewhat protective over his smaller friend. After deeming him okay, he lowered his head and closed his eyes, attempting to fall asleep as he had been. "I-I'm a bit boring." She admitted quietly. "I-I don't do much, really.. When I get home from school, I usually head back to my place and stay inside. W-When hours are open, I head over to my job." She shrugged lightly, gently stroking the Tux's back. "I-I sleep most of the day." She paused. "What do you do?"

Markus grinned a bit when he felt the kitten's purring throat against his pale finger. His crimson eyes glanced up when he heard Calyx let out a small laugh and cocked one brow. "Mou arésoun ta zó̱a," he said with a faint shrug. Maybe it was because he was an animal himself; walking around in a human skin and only revealing his true nature around blood.
His head tilted to one side a bit. She has a job? "Ti kánete gia ti̱ douleiá sas?" he asked, suddenly curious.
When she asked what he did, he shrugged both shoulders as he answered, "Den káno̱ típota afoú den boró̱ na milí̱so̱ angliká so̱stá , étsi amfivállo̱ kápoios tha í̱thele na me proslávei."
[[ Translations :: I like animals. :: What do you do for your job? :: I don't really do anything since I can't speak English properly, so I doubt anyone would want to hire me. ]]

"Would of never guessed.." Calyx replied with a murmur, a small smile playing on her lips. She tilted her head back up and blinked a few times. "Well, nothing important really.. I just clean. S-Sometimes I volunteer at the Roller Rink," She shrugged, glancing to the side. "I-I switch the skates and stuff, sometimes I work at the front desk and give people bands." She winced when Tux bit her finger, her eyes narrowed in irritation. Apparently, she hadn't been petting him right. She thumped him on the forehead and turned back to the albino. "Well.. Where do you live?" she tilted her head to the side. "How do you make payments without a job?.."

Markus chuckled, continuing to coax purrs from Midnight's fluffy and tiny body. "Zo̱ me mia oikogéneia ypodochí̱s. Tha frontísei gia óles tis pli̱ro̱més kai tétoia, kai écho̱ kápoia chrí̱mata pou échei apomeínei apó ótan doúlev̱a sti̱n Elláda ó̱ste na boró̱ na antéxoun oikonomiká tou fysikoú aeríou gia to podí̱lato kai ta tsigára mou..." he said, trailing off a bit. Although, he didn't say how much money he had left over from his time working in his motherland over the centuries or so.

"Wish it was t-that easy for me," Calyx said, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly with a slight grin. "T-The roller rink is always too loud for my liking, but I like watching the kids skate." She shrugged, twirling Tux's tail between her finger absent mindlessly. Suddenly, Tux began to hiss. His hackles rose. She glanced to the door and frowned, spotting the dog. "K-Keep a hold on Midnight, she's a big chicken.." She mumbled. "She'll try to run," As if on que, Midnight began to mewl and squirm, trying to get away.

Unfazed by the squirming kitten in his hands, he leaned back against the window of the booth as he held the small black she-cat firmly against his chest. Soothing murmurs came from his lips as he reassured the kitten that everything was okay and that he wasn't going to let a dog get her. Of course, Markus did say all this in Greek so the kitten might not have understood a word he said... if anything at all. But he did hope that she did calm down soon since her tiny and razor sharp claws were digging into his shirt, pricking at the skin on his chest.
