Markus nodded and pulled on his helmet. He revved the engine a few times, giving her a two-fingered salute before he sped off. The vampire turned down a different road as he started to head downtown. Even though it was a bit too early, he could feel his fangs brush against his lips. The scent of blood had already put him into a mini frenzy that he needed to take care of before he killed somebody important.

[ So, we're going with the idea? ]
Calyx did a quick cat-stretch, a yawn drifting out of her mouth. She raised a hand to rub at the sleep in her eyes, then blinked a few times and stared up at the ceiling of her apartment. After the death of her cat, she had decided to stay home from school the day before. Though some people would of made fun of her for behind so emotional, Calyx was very serious and sensitive about these types of things. She had had the fat tabby for a few years and it hurt to see him go. After sleeping half the day, she finally decided to get up. She wore a pair of short pajama bottoms and a large t-shirt. Her hair was a mess and there were faint circles under her eyes. The bruise on her cheek had lifted some and felt a bit sore, but other than that, it was fine. She sat herself down with a bowl of Capn' Crunch and ate silently, her blue gaze trained blankly infront of her. She decided not to go to school today, either. It was a Friday anyway.

Calyx wasn't in school today.
Markus didn't see nor scent her in the halls. Well, stale scents lingered, but none of it was fresh. Meaning she had stayed home because of what happened yesterday? Gods, he hoped not. He was looking forward to talking with her more. Besides, that male he had beaten up yesterday wasn't in school. So that was an upside. Throughout the day, he had moved through his classes in a daze, remembering little.
When the final bell rang, Markus only stopped by his locker to retrieve his helmet before heading to the student lot to pick up his motorcycle. He straddled the leather seat as he pulled his helmet on and started the engine as it purred to life. Once he was out of the lot, he pealed down the street as he made his way towards her apartment complex. Sure, her scent was all over the place, but he didn't know which one was hers.
So, he just parked his bike across the street and leaned against it as he pulled out a cigarette. It was soon lit and he inhaled a long drag before exhaling the acrid smoke.

Not long after Calyx had had her breakfast, some employee that worked at her apartment complex came to her room babbling about cleaning day. After a short argument, the lady won over and Calyx was kicked out for the next few minutes with the rest of her cats. She hadn't known it had been a cleaning day, seeing that they changed it often and she didn't get an update.
Calyx kept her apartment clean, so there was nothing to clean up. She had never been the arguing type, so she gave up easily. Still, she wasn't very happy that the lady hadn't given her time to change into her clothes. So she was left outside with two cats in her pajamas. She shivered as a cold wind blew by, causing her skin to erupt in gooseflesh.
She decided the best thing for her to do was head over to the coffee shop across from her apartment complex. Though it wasn't her favorite, it was the only one she knew that was around. It was nasty, though welcomed pets. And she couldn't let her babies freeze outside. She leaned down and picked up the two cats; one a black and white tuxedo tom, the other a young black she-cat. After a moment of meowing and squirming, the two eventually settled into her arms and accepted their fate of being carried. Letting out a sigh, she slipped on her flip-flops she kept outside the door and walked on to the cafe.
