The boy climbed  his feet, carefully stretching one arm over his head and drawing a sharp crack from one of the joints. "Yeah, you're probably right. Better go before Lock runs out of little stuff t'burn and tries her hand at arson." He glanced upward, watching the tiny glowing pixie as she hunted down dust motes that had escaped her first attack.

His eyes went back to Rawsha."Y'know, you ought to come back with me. Pros is a pretty easy-going guy. I've never seen him turn away a stray, half breed or not, and the house has been pretty empty since Mandi left. You could have her room." Locket jingled sharply, dipping from the rafter's in a smooth arc and hovering just over the young werewolf's left shoulder. NONONONONONONO!!! Bad bigsears girlydog NOT blondie is MINE is LOCKETmine! Ashley rolled his eyes at her irritation, a light smile playing on his lips. "So how about it? It'll drive Lock totally nuts."

Rasha giggled,she stood up and dusted off her skirt,She grabbed her clothes and stuffed them in a blanket the took her hat "locket,do ya want somethin' burn?" She held out the hat. and looked to Ashley"ill come so whos mandi?"She opened the door waiting.

Locket jingled sharply, glaring at the hat Rawsha had offered to her. She seemed torn between the strong desire to cause destruction and an equally strong desire to spite the girl. BOOM! She chimed harshly, causing a bright orange tongue of flame to leap from the center of the hat. The flames took hold quickly, charring a wide hole in the soft fabric before moving out toward the seams.

Ashley laughed as the pixie settled herself onto his shoulder, a smug grin painted onto her tiny face. "Mandi's a friend of ours." The boy explained shortly, following Rawsha toward the door. "I'll tell you more about her later. We need to get moving if we want to be back in time for dinner." Kneeling down on the front porch, the boy fixed his eyes intensely on the empty space in front of him. He grunted softly, then shifted. 

The thin grey wolf gave himself a shake, carefully freeing is hind legs from the jeans he had borrowed. His murkey yellow eyes then flickered to Rawsha and giving his tail a slow wag, he barked. Stupid bigears go after dumbdog n' Locket. The pixie instructed tersely, hovering an arms length in front of the girl's face before fluttering off to take up a sentry post on top of Ashley's head. The young wolf set off at a quick trot, glancing over his shoulder briefly to ensure that his companion was following.

Rawsha walked behind Ashley,She breathed in the air was thick wit the smell of burning wood.It tickled her nose and she sighed,such a great scent,her favorite smell,it filled her with memories and and joy of what was and maybe will be.She looked at the shadows from the golden trees above her and the deep navy sky filled with stars and a large orange moon.The coolness of the night and the soft whispering breeze blew the sad or nervous memories away.She thought about Ashley,she liked him,alot.He would never know,though.Would he?She thought of kissing him,What would his reaction be?If it had gone as planned he wouldnt pull away and he liked her too.If it didnt then he would pull away shove her off and yell at her?.But her didnt seem as the type.I mean he did comment her right?Even locket told her what she already knew. BIGEARS.It rang through her head,though Ashley seemed to like them even if she didnt,the word he had said to her,'Soft ears,nice eyes,cute little nose'.Her heart raced,yet she hated how needy she had gotten,how she had to pry those words from his mouth.Well theres nothing that can be done,she thought to herself.She blinked and came out her thought.She gulped before she spoke making sure her voice would sound well"so uh how far is this prospers house?" she smiled and walked up so she was side by side with Ashley,Her pure white ears almost glowed with the light pink on the inside of them.She looked down at him.'hes even cute in wolf form' she thought to herself.

The young werewolf let out a soft whuff of breath, pausing to glance over his shoulder at Rawsha. Dumbdog not talk bigears girlydog. Locket explained tersely, her aura flickering burnt orange in the dusky air. Ashley growled a warning to the sprite, then turned down a narrow street. His claws clicked softly against the worn asphalt as he lead the small group around several more  dark corner. The city streets grew quieter and quieter, the glare of stoplights and neon signs giving way to the more gentle glow of softly humming streetlights.

He eventually lead them to the gates of an old Victorian-style building with an iron plaque that read 'LaRose Apartments' in cursive lettering. It wasn't a large complex -perhaps only three or four stories-but it was solidly build and well-maintained despite the crumbling plaster on it's outer walls. The young werewolf nudged the gate with his forehead -it swung open without so much as a creak- then trotted up the stone walkway and staircase to a heavy wooden door. Jingling a merry little tune to herself, Locket dove from his shoulder directly toward the keyhole, vanishing in a shower of sparks. There was a faint click as the door swung slowly outward.

Ashley turned his eyes on Rawsha in what might have been a re*censored*uring glance, then hopped over the threshold and into the narrow hallway.

"Don't be nervous." The boy told his companion gently upon shifting back into his human form. "Prosper isn't going to turn y'out, and the others don't have any say in who comes and goes." He reached for a dark bathrobe hanging on a wall hook by the door and slipped it on, carefully arranging the collar around his neck before smiling at the girl. "Come on, the dining room's on the second floor. Pros knocked a couple walls down when he bought the place so there'd be more room to move."

Kairi walked around the forest behind the mansion she and her brother had inhertied from their parents.

She was in her wolf form. She wasnt worried about anyone seeing her. She normally didnt walk on the streets but something today compelled her. She slinked out of the trees and on the streets. She remebered to put on a collar so the pound wouldnt drop by and pick her up.

Ashley smiled, reaching an arm out to collect Rawsha's bag and shouldering it in one smooth movement. "I'll show you your room in a sec. Lets say hi to everybody first." Gesturing upstairs with tilt of his head, he started climbing toward the second floor.

The smell of Parmesan cheese and spaghetti sauce hung thickly in the air as they turned into the kitchen. A young woman was busying herself with a large pot on the stove while two boys -a blonde several years older than Ashley and a brunette about the same age- worked on setting the table. Locket fluttered about the older boy's shoulders, chattering noisily in her bell-like voice. "Well look who finally decided to show up!" Laughed the dark haired boy as he spotted them in the doorway, setting down a basket of bread sticks and throwing his arms wide in a dramatic gesture. "Ashley Larson, back from the crusades! Who's your cute friend?" He cast his dark eyes toward Rawsha, raising an eyebrow appreciatively.

"Her name's Rawsha." The young werewolf answered without missing a beat, dropping the girl's bag on a nearby chair and moving towards the table. "I met her down by Pinecrest. She's a stray. Think she could have Madi's old room Pros?" The blonde lifted his eyes from the silverware he had been arranging and smiled at Rawsha. "I don't see why not, so long as she follows the rules. You're not involved with any of the local packs, are you Rawsha?"

"Ha! She can be a Bloodmoon spy for all I care!" Laughed the dark haired girl in the kitchen. "So long as the girl has an appetite! Somebody has to eat Amanda's share of supper!" Ashley smirked, pulling an extra chair up to the dining table so Rawsha would have a place to sit. "You could always cook less, Maria." He laughed as she carried the m*censored*ive dish of spaghetti into the dining area. "Ah! Such cheek the boy gives me!" She cried in mock-insult, sticking her tongue out at him. "I slave for hours over a hot stove making his supper and how does he show his appreciation? Insults! I ought to bite your ear in two!" She set the steaming dish down in the center of the table with a sigh, ruffling the boy's hair and plopping herself down into one of the chairs.

Prosper nodded lightly, tapping his shoulder lightly to summon Locket to him. The pixie jingled pleasantly, tangling herself into his pale blonde hair "Yep, I'm Prosper. But Rawsha, you don't need to tell us anything you don't want to. If Ashley trusts you, then I do as well." The dark haired young man plucked a bread stick from the basket. "I'm Edward, like the sparkling vampire in that book -only difference is that I'm about a million times better." He grinned, and proceeded to jam half of the bread stick into his mouth.

It was about that time a very large serving of spaghetti and meatballs found it was onto  Rawsha's plate. "Pay no attention to that one sweetheart." Smiled the young woman who had put it there, spooning a healthy supply of cheese on top of it. "That great hole in his face just keep making noises. The only way to shut it up is to shove food into it." Edward glared darkly at her, but continued chewing silently -effectively proving her point. "I am Maria, and I've sure you've been introduced our little one already."

Ashley gave his eyes a healthy roll as the young woman elbowed him gently. "Come on guys, let her eat already. We've had a long day." "Aye, and yours is going to be even longer." The dark-haired woman replied with a teasing smile. "It's your night to do groceries." The boy sighed deeply and grunted around a mouthful of spaghetti. "So Rawsha, would you care to tell us about yourself?" Prosper asked politely, twirling pasta around his fork.
