I very literally do log on every day, but I certainly do not remember to do everything every day.
Even for daily rewards, I forget they're there until I hit a goal and get an alert!
I have not tried to seriously do the springs after losing a couple month long streak a few years ago. I visit every once in a while and get my springs-ordained stick or pebble lol.
Okay I did not read through everyone's post so I apologize if this has already been suggested, but having a 2 day grace period after you reach a certain amount of time logging in every day.
So say you were able to login and do the springs every day for 14 days, after that if you miss a day you can still retain your streak as long as you login the second day to keep it going. Something like that.
I still don't believe it should be an item. Dropping a certain number of days (or even a percentage, 5%? 10%? Certainly not more than 10%) is far more reasonable in general (not a full level unless the levels go way higher). If someone is a dedicated user, logging on daily for a full year for example, they should be rewarded, not penalized. Real life happens, all your hard work shouldn't wash away from one or two busy days. At the end of the day, this is a game. When games start penalizing you so hard for missing a single day, they become a chore and ultimately discourage, rather than encourage, people from coming back.
I've been complaining about this with my sister who plays for YEARS. I had almost a year long streak, had an emergency and lost it all. It made me lose all motivation to come back and visit the site for a couple years
