I came across this when i tried to draw a creatu,

Rescreatu i think needs a " how to draw creatu", section. I can draw creatu verry well but what about other people? i think there should be a step by step how to draw,{insert creatu name here}. anyone else with me? it can even be a game or something i dont know but it would be a nice touch to this site in my opinionTongue outtle="Tongue out" />

Part of me leans toward disagreeing, but that's probably just me - I'm not much of a how-to person. I imagine some people would really like something like this.

Also, this really makes me think of the old art gallery feature. It would be nice if it came back.. I'm pretty sure it was removed only because there was no one managing it anymore, so we couldn't submit new things and actually get them put up. Perhaps there could be a how-to section there if it were to be reimplemented, and users could submit tutorials based on how they draw the Creatu. That way we have the how-to's like you're suggesting, there are multiple ways of doing it shown, and it's not a stress on the staff artists to do.

It's kinda hard to explain why I don't like this idea, and it'll take me a bit to explain my arguement agaisnt it. Care for me to explain?

I'm not sure of my opinion is on this. I don't think that it's necessary. But, then again, maybe would be les fail at drawing with it. Idunno.

Eh, I have to go with no.

For me, learning to draw something shouldn't be because something else teaches you step by step. Just look at it and practice and you'll get it eventually.

Not only that, but some of the older artists aren't even on the team anymore to make a 'how to draw' for the creatu they created. It's time consuming for the artist, who are working on revamps, items, and many other things for the site.

And from prior experience of when I tried to use how to draw books when I was little, they never help. And even if they did, you only know how to draw the pet in one form. Drawing it in other poses is, to me, where the time and effort comes in that a how to draw page isn't needed for.

Yeah... I could ramble on about it more, but I don't think it's needed at all. ;c

Yeah, I'm basically against this idea for the same reasons as Uwi. Using step  by step instructions on how to draw actually encourage less creativity in my opinion. You won't learn from it. It's just something to satisfy people who just want to draw something pretty without going through the effort of learning properly and creating their own things.

By the way, these aren't exactly simple characters. These instructions would be a bout a gazillion steps long.

Lol. o_o I have to disagree as well. Some of the creatu, as Ping has pointed out, would be next to impossible to teach how to draw and that would require the original artists to dig up their old files and show us step-by-step how to draw what they did. It would be too much work for them and wouldn't be really rewarding. I think if a person wants to learn how to draw a creatu it would be best to learn how to do it on their own.

I will dissagree with this also.  It is not your art to draw in the first place.  Sure you can draw it, but it is your own version.  I don't think the original artists would appreciate people doing there art step-by-step. I know I wouldn't.  But, then again that is just my opinion. 8)

I Like the idea.  There should be a new forum section called art tips.  users could share techniques
