I like the idea of there being an inexpensive vaccination and the inability to sell them. Maybe there should be a quest in some really shady alleyway area which gives a chance of pets contracting rabies? Maybe the colour shouldn't be named 'rabid' or something as rabies is a disease that affects the brain. So I'd imagine people having rabid zombie pets. Plus, it seems weird to have something ill just sittin' there, being a normal pet. Also Graveyardfox said that they'd look a little like the mutants. Maybe it should be a different colour altogether.
In fact, we should have another colour that can be achieved through a quest. I don't know what, but it would be cool. I dunno, chess themed? Maybe like spotty, chequered or like a monster sort shindig (maybe make the pets look like something that would come out of Monster Hunter or Final Fantasy)? Or maybe reverse their habitat, like if they lived on land, there should be like a 'mermaid' version of them and if they lived on land, they could be like Ariel or something and not have fins and be able to move on land yeah? We could have this ursula thing where underwater pets could go to and get this 'walking potion' or something and another Ursula thing that could give you a 'swimming potion'. Maybe make like prehistoric versions of pets? (don't you say a word about Neopets, I don't care if we're 'unique' or not. This site is not a hipster and I don't want it to be)
