So I thought it would be neat if, for an event when the seasonal events aren't going on, to have sort of a 'Planet Battle.' When you sign up for Res, as you know, you choose a planet. Well what if a contest was struck up, a lot like the quests we have all ready, where residents of the planet had to get items for points or could donate tu or pet.
The things could go into a massive "Team Pot," and either when one is totally filled or has the most after X amount of time, the team wins! Members of each planet could get an HA item (shirt, hand-held sign, etc) that said something like 'Team (planet)!' Then when all was over and done with, the users with the winning planet could get a gold trophy and special pet or item or something to that extent, second place could get a silver, etc. I think it'd throw some good competition into the site and be really fun for everyone. If anyone has any other suggestions/tweaks feel free to post c: Maybe people could CHOOSE what planet they root for, though, seeing as a lot don't really know what they're doing when they first join and just kind of pick one.

I LOVE this idea.AKA SUPPORT!!!! I have a few suggestions though. You could maybe give tu for the war efforts, tanks, spears, guns, whatever. And it is a ting where the winning planet gets the "Spoils Of War" or, in this case gets the 'units'(tanks, spears, ETC.). This would also provide a place for the residents of the winning planet a way to get their tu, items, or whatever back. Because the winning planet would also get tu from the other planets that lost, and the (winning) residents would get maybe like 1/5th of the profit? Oh, and only the participating members would get the profit? This would also make it so the planet had more resources for the next fight. OR going along with the parts up to the earing tu part, there could be 'Planet Points'. And there would be shops that you could spend the 'Planet points' to get items like you said, shirts, signs, etc. Same system as before, just with the points instead of the tu. Also, there could be a mini game unlocked for the winning team, that is like a tower-defence verson.Sound like any fun?

Well, maybe once the Training and Battle Room feature get up and going, you could "submit" your pet, and the event could be held on a specific day, and then out of all the pets submitted for a planet, one would be chosen randomly (for each planet), and it would... well, because nobody's exactly sure how the Battle Room will work, but if the pets fight against each other, then the winning pet's owner would get the trophy, but everyone who submitted their pets would get something, and everybody from the planet would get something etc. Your idea would work too though, I'm just going on the actual planet battles. It would be really cool to just have a planet day though, were you could find specific pets/items on your planet, and play games related to it.

... What about those of us who had no idea what we were doing when we joined and just picked a random planet? xD I'd rather fight for Reiflem than Scria, where I live now.

I think planet changing items might not be a good item to have in the CS. A lot of users agree that too many items like that are too hard to get. What about a new user that just joined, and randomly picked a planet, then decided they wanted to change it? They most likely wouldn't have the TU to change it for a litttle while, and if the event lasts for only a day, then they would have to wait for the next event to come around, and that might be a while. Most of our changing items are in the CS, name tags, rancher/merchant tokens, gender pendants. I think we need an item that's a little easier to obtain, although it would have to have limits. You can only change planets say, every six months, and the item would cost around 3mil TU. These are just ideas nut, I really don't think planet tokens woud benifit Res a whole lot.

Maybe when you join you could have one or two free planet changes, and after that it requires a token or something like that? ;o Pretty much the same as class tokens.
Really, even if a planet-changing item would just be for the fun of it right now, it would be awesome if there was something to make planet citizenship more worthwhile. An event like this would be super fun, at least if you could choose your team beforehand.. xD And like, just. Stuff that perhaps only residents of a planet can obtain from it. Then you have to either buy other people's planet-exclusive items or maybe trade your own for them in order to get all of 'em.
Oh, oh. Maybe there could be special quests to do for your planet's guardian. :D

as for the planet changeing issue theirs an old item called a planet mirror. It needs to be re- coded tho.
:D and support! This sounds like fun. Although instead of it being a war/ battle may be a food fight would be best? You could still hand in other items other than food tho, it just seems like an all out war with tanks and spears ( like Fluzzme hinted at) seems a bit of a heavy subject with all the fighting going on today. I personaly wouldn't have a problem with it but some people can get a bit offended by stuff like that. :P |

Really liking these ideas! I really appreciate it when people desire a type of gameplay and put it into the context of a suggestion. This is really inspiring, and I think there are things here that would make for a lot of fun.
This type of competitive-natured game would be a good way to support your home planet! Not only would there be a pool, but ideas of smaller prizes/participation prizes. How often would these planet battles happen? How long would they last?
I like the idea of people being able to move to another planet. I believe we have discussed it before. Seems like a good idea to introduce the ability to move with the release of this new gameplay.
What else would be fun to do?
I'm actually starting to think this would be a great tournament between the planets in some way. "Battle of the Planets!" Leaderboards for each planet's best competitors.

There was something similar to this in the past. Its how Scria got the Freaky Toy Outlet and Relcore got the General Store for only their residence.
I would be happy to see it come back again... If it did come back a bit differently.

I understand where you're coming from, iooni, but the world isn't made entirely out of sunshine and kindness. In other words,there are wars in real life, so why shouldn't there be in res? as for olympic games, that could be fun. But I think there should be planet battles too. ( of course this is entirely my opinion, so please don't be offended)

No one has used the term "war," mind you, other than yourself.
It is in theory a competition from one planet to another, and in that sense is a "battle."
No fighting/violence has been suggested.
