ok so this idea just popped in my head for some reason so here it is. on the extra day of leap year- febuary 26 or somthing there will be an update and it will let you choose one egg out of all of the cs pets ever realeased and when you choose the 3 cs eggs you want you get them and cant choose again until 4 years later and maybe there will be an exclusive creatu egg you get to go along with the 3 creatu eggs like a creatu about to be released or make a forum suggestion for a creatu come true or somthing. this idea will problably be shot down but its worth a shot.

Hmmm, no support to any three CS eggs ever released. Maybe one CS egg that's not retired? I like the leap year concept, it's interesting. But three of any CS eggs wouldn't work, the Credit Shop is designed to bring in funds for running the site. If you could get these eggs, even once every four years, it would throw the economy of the sight off during that time.

No support for any CS eggs. BUT...the idea of being able to randomly find a strange new creatu egg only on February 29th every leap year would be really interesting. =)

No support. I like Broken's idea better than a CS egg but I still wouldn't support it. Four years is a very long time, and a new Creatu that could only be gotten one day every four years? That would make them rarer than Iviks or even maybe retired CS Creatu.
And I certainly wouldn't want to be a user that signed up a few months after a leap year and have to wait nearly four years just to get a single creatu they might want because it'd probably be insanely expensive to get one.

Well, a new creatu wouldn't be that bad. It'd see it as being fair, I mean, what about those users that have retired CS pets? They were here when they were released, and they were able to buy them. For those of us who joined a year or two afterwards, they were already worth around 40mil. Maybe there would be an egg hunt or something, and you could find up to three eggs?
I really don't have a problem with it. Having to wait a while means that you'll just have to set a goal. I see no difference between a new pet you can get every four years, and those you may never have a chance to get at all. |

this pet would for surely be a show roomer im acctually liking how this is developing i didnt think the original idea would work but the more posts i read the cooler it seems maybe it would be like one of the most requested pets in the forums or a completely new pet like a hedgehog or a fierce dragon like something off monster hunter 3 because rescreatu has dragons but we need a big ferocious dragon that maybe has a fire ball coming out of its mouth or maybe the new year could give your selected pet a rare color like the gemstone creatu idea.

Maybe every leap year a new pet WOULD be a good idea instead of a cs egg. Except maybe that day is the only day you can do a certain quest, like say it would ask for a certain creature, the rarer the color and creature, the more points and 300 points would get you 3 ____ eggs.
So only on that day could you do that quest. You'd be relying on your sr and tu basically.
Maybe there could be an item called a 1 month ___ egg search ticket(any planet, 0.1 rarity) for 1200 points. That way its possible for some people to be able to search after that day instead of a quest. Maybe it could be called Hooded Man's Permission and grant a hidden avatar.

I think it should be a kangaroo sort of creatu. Or some sort of creatu that's based off of a jumping animal. It would make sense because it's a leaping creatu, and it's a leap year.

if you get the 3 eggs for 300 tickets you should be able to get the ticket too but i think it should be a one day egg hunt ticket when you can use whenever and it should cost like 3,000 points because i found over 20 uilus eggs in one day on the egg hunt and each egg would go in the auctions for about 10 mil or more.

I think there needs to be an egg hunt or a game. Handing in pets is too much like Kir or other seasonal quests, and this isn't exactly a holiday. Besides, uilus eggs aren't exactly worth 2mil, their worth as much as someone values them at.

Shooting down an idea just because it would make something rare or difficult/expensive to obtain isn't a very good reason :P
Having it available only every 4 years could encourage newer users to stay or return to the site in anticipation of getting one. This could bump up user retention - something that is important for Res.
In my mind, it shouldn't be an official event. No update, no clicking a hunt button, no trading in items...just having mysterious new eggs randomly appear on that day would be pretty neat. No planning for time would be needed, no expense of trading anything in, just pure suspense and surprise. ;-)

Yes, I think that would be neat. You just log in, go to your hatchery and BAM there's a couple new and rare creatu eggs sitting in there, all shiny and waiting to be hatched. Maybe there could be several different creatu, and every four years you get three random eggs, maybe more or less depending on the amount of creatu for the event.
In fact... I don't think these creatu should even go in the Creatu Database. That way you'd have to wait to see what it would turn into. Although some users might not agree on this... |

Actually, I meant having the eggs randomly appear on the planets/in shops/the bank/etc...like, just when you're doing things you normally do every day. Just sitting in the hatchery would be kinda neat, but for those who don't hatch regularly and don't notice, the spoiling factor might ...well, spoil it for them xD
I've always wished we could keep some creatu out of the database and have it be a surprise to see what hatches. =)

That would be kind of funny, just go look in an NPC shop, and maybe have this egg hiding next to a shirt (if you're in the Fashion Galore shop). Perhaps it would be something that appears only on your account (like a random event, similar to the buckets of slush or value vouchers), and it's priced for 0 TU. So you click on it, "buy" it, and it goes to your hatchery. I wasn't thinking about the spoiling factor, but that might not agree with some users, you're right.
I think keeping a creatu out of there would just add to the excitement of the game. It encourages users to keep their pets around and do stuff with them (at least I know I would). I also wonder if maybe there would be other factors involved in order for certain pets to grow up, maybe they have to reach a certain happiness level before they age, despite their age? |

what if someone asked about it in the support section and a staff member was told to answer " Shiny eggs are best left hatched" and then told to lock it or somehing? I may be overthinking this XD

Maybe in the FAQ a little section could be added with the names of leap year creatu stating that you have to wait for them to grow before you know exactly what they'll look like. Then all a staff member would have to do is link the user to the page or ask them to refer to it.

wow im getting so much feedback my ideas are always shot down but this one is getting like 3 posts an hour its crazy. i like the idea or the jumping creatu because it leaps like leap year cool idea guiven i think it should be 3 eggs maximum maybe of the same thing that way the people that didnt log in on that day wont feel so bad about losing the seven rarest eggs and have to wait until the next four years. we are accctually coming close to february 29th so i know for surely that im logging in that day to see if it does happen or somthing at least. it would be a bummer if it implented a week after leap year. i think it should be 3 of the same creatu eggs instead of creating 3 new creatu that come out once every four years. post your pictures of some sort of jumping creatu and maybe one will get picked. (kangaroo, frog, rabbit, etc)
