because some of the signatures on this site are ridiculous and make it impossible to scroll thru a thread. dunno bout the actual dimensions but i think most signatures are rarely taller than 300px and wider than the forum?? idk just. pls

also: image size caps if there currently aren't any. idk what the width of the forum is but it should be something a bit less than that.

I'd love to have a cap, especially in the horizontal direction. I honestly feeling like nobody abuses it badly vertically (though I might just say that because mine is larger than most xD)
Anyways, I'm sure this has already been suggested before, but it's still a good idea.

thanks for the replies guys! and actually my issue is absolutely with how long signatures on res are. once they're longer than your HA you're basically...wasting time scrolling through a thread? like it's visually unappealing but not only that it's also really inconvenient

if they implement this then yeah, a) i'd like a preview feature and b) i'd like there to be a note somewhere in the editor about how to change the size of your images. 

res is a kids site so i'm not surprised a lot of people don't know how to make pictures smaller w coding so they can all fit on a line (that isnt a jab at anyone btw, just thinking this through)

anyways most forums have this cap so i'm pretty surprised res hasn't bothered yet lol

Anyway, I support! Also, I've noticed that when I post on a thread sometimes a few posts down the white space below my signature has begun to expand and I don't know why but it freaks me out @_@

that's one reason why i'd love a note somewhere that says the maximum height! it's hard to eyeball and resizing can be a pain when you have a portrait image that's maybe too tall but you don't really know ;;
