I think on Rescreatu, we should be able to give our Creatu accessories! Like shoes, bracelets, that sorta thing! Maybe clothes as (Thanks to Dragoon) Neopets got ruined.
Then, we could have contests like best dressed!
Also, we should be able to wash the creatu, and groom them, otherwise they get too dirty!

Sorry but noooo, I want to avoid this as much a possible. The only thing I would like would maybe be collars or little anklets....but I saw what customization did to neopets. The last thing I want is for something that bad to happen to res....

No support. I like the pet art the way it is, and to me this would just make Res ugly. I don't see the appeal of dressing up pets, and I never use it when I'm on a site that gives the option.
This might cause a lot of bad feelings for some users since Neopets does this and Neopets is well... Neopets. :I
Plus, because of the addition of clothing to the site, Neopets had to revamp ALL their pet art to make more static poses so they didn't have to make individual art for every pet for every item. That Revamp took away the poses, and even detail from the art. I'm sure many users would hate that here, and the artists' efforts can be much better put to something else.
This would cost a lot of time and money from Pat to get this all set up. And this feature could actually make some people leave Res or push them away.
When the HA was released here, I used to get so annoyed at all the clothing updates because I wanted the updates to be about something that would interest me. If all the updates were about new clothes for pets... I might just stop coming onto Res as often, or being excited about seeing the update bar. Cuz eventually I did get interesting in the HA at least a little. Dressing up Creatu... I know I wouldn't ever get into that just from past experience.
Also if people want accessories and all that stuff on a particular pet's art, they can hire someone to edit the image. It's a much easier way and generates good profit for some users. And usually a decent artist/editor can make things like accessories very appealing to look at, as long as the request isn't overdone.
Edit:// As for the grooming and washing thing, still no. It's unrealistic, at least when it comes to pet sites. Few cats are going to want to take a bath, so the Liyure, Otachie and Ebilia might try to scratch your face off. Jaakus are ghosts, so I don't think they could get dirty in the first place. Birds preen themselves. Half of Atquati's pets would stay in water constantly anyways. You'd have to give an Ardur a lava bath, pretty much. I don't even want to think of the damage a Wyrae's slime would do to a sewage system. And dropping a Zaphao into a pool of water might be fatal.
That's pretty much all I could think of at the moment.

This has been suggested before, and didn't recieve much support. Could you imagine drawing a shirt to fit onto each and every creatu? I like the creatu the way the are, and putting clothes on them isn't the way to go in my opinion.

i wouldn't mind having a few well designed collars and bracelets but i find the idea of shoes and cloths kinda horrible even if they are just pixels. sorry no support :) |

I wouldn't be opposed to very basic adornments for pets. Not every adornment would be able to fit every pet, though. Like for instance, hehe, I would like to give my tesuri earrings. ^^ But other pets don't have ears.
Mostly, I don't think this idea should happen at all until after the HAs and pets are being displayed together, like here on the forum as avatars. Otherwise no one will ever see the pet adornments. If no one ever sees them, meh, no point.
Maybe a pet clothing item could be good only on one species, like "gold ring for ezahni horn", and then it's only good on the adult pet.
This idea could quickly get way out of control, if implemented. It needs to be sized down and restricted to be at all manageable. |

I pity pets (like dogs/cats, that I see in the park or something) whose owners make them wear clothes honestly. I kind of feel embarrassed for them. The little coat thing that dogs sometimes wear durin the winter is fine, just nothing that resembles what humans wear xD
I find that adding clothes would make res seem a little bit distasteful (if you understand what I mean). Even if it's a small accessory, I still find it's a bit distasteful. I also think it would take too much time, every pet would need to have this accessory made for them and everytime an accessory is introduced, it has to be re drawn for all pets. A bit of a waste of time, this time could have been devoted to other things that could benefit Res more (like new creatu or items). HA clothes are enough, it's not so diffucult because there are only 2 genders and 2 generic poses.
Even if each item was creatu specific, I still think it's a bit of a waste of time. If you want to see your creatu with clothes or something, go to the art commissions thread and you can get someone to either edit or draw your creatu for you, with EXACTLY the same kinds of clothes you want on your creatu for a reasonable price.
