if shrine creatu never get any art-altering effects i can 100% live with that, they are amazing as they are. but i am a Huge lover of the baby shrine creatu, they are SO cute and tiny, and seeing all of my tiny whale and eel babies in my showroom makes me extremely happy. just staring at them is one of my favorite things to do on res, lol
with that in mind though, i am very proud of my high color shrine pets especially because they are some of my most valuable pets and i even hatched a few myself! i would love to have some of them on my profile from time to time, without having to routinely ask for Rray zaps when the art changes as they age.
aside from the minor inconvenience of needing to get them zapped occasionally in order to stay baby/adolescent, there are a couple of functional reasons for giving them the ageless effect that are far more important to me:
Wasted potential
- everyone has favorite creatu they own that they love more than the rest for a variety of reasons. my personal favorites are my calico cetari and calico guilibyss, they are the most special to me because they are the rarest pets i've ever hatched myself. i was overjoyed and totally floored in those moments, and i get to experience that feeling a little bit every time i look at them, partly because they look just how they did the day i hatched them :)
explore came out around the same time as the shrine pets, and i was very eager to spoil my new calico babies by reading them books and giving them different foods so they could get buffs and become awesome explorers. then i realized that baby creatu can't explore. that's fine, though, because adults with the ageless effect can. i got myself a couple of ageless extracts before i realized that i couldnt use them, because shrine creatu can't have effects :(
i really understand if they never get any other effect. but giving them the ageless effect wouldn't require making any new art for them
i really, really want to spoil my luckiest hatches the way i spoil my other favorite creatu. i want them on my profile so they can become hundreds/thousands of days old. i want to train them, read to them, feed them, send them exploring. it makes me sad that i cant love them in this way because its very important to me that they stay babies :( i have let my calico cetari grow up multiple times because of how much i wanted to keep her on my profile and use her to explore, but every time i end up zapping her to baby again because it just doesn't feel right for her to not be tiny and cute...
i might be the only person on res who is this devoted to collecting and loving baby shrine creatu, but even if thats true i hope this suggestion will maybe be considered...the art for all of the baby/adolescent shrine creatu is really adorable, and it deserves to be appreciated in the same way that all other creatu can ;o;
