"So, just one addition I think would be nice would be an option to quick delete the inventory. "
I'm not sure I want to put a quick delete there, but we will try to come up with a way to address what I believe is the underlying problem, that you don't want any of the items returned by your pet. For what its worth you could just keep them in the inventory and your pets will drop them in future exploration in favor of better items, according to your pacing strategies set.

"Also some way of being able to increase the health of your pets would be nice, but I may just be missing that, as I think there used to be some sort of training thing you could do, but I haven't played in a few years."
Yes, we will need to do something for this.

"Overall I really enjoy this new feature!"
Glad you like it!

"Number of objects did not feel great inspite of asking for them but presumed that is part of balancing the game."

This continues to be a cause of complaint with this feature. We'll have to try to do better to clear up the confusion here. The problem is that when you tell your pets to prefer items, all that means is if their inventory is full and they find an item, they will drop an egg if they have one to pick up the item. It does not mean they will find more items. It just means they will bring home more items than they otherwise would if the pet is having inventory constraint problems. Exploring favors eggs greatly. Item drops in general are much rarer than egg drops. This is why you usually see more eggs being brought home despite the pacing strategies that are set.

"I meant to ask this earlier in the thread but kept forgetting: what actually happens you you hit the 100 egg limit for the day? Does your pet just stop finding eggs and only picks up items?"

That cap has no impact on exploration feature.

"Does health deplete according to percentage?"

I believe this is currently the case. I'm open to changing this but I'd like to see what we can do about training health first.

Health: Are there any items to increase/maintain health? Nourishment can be kept high from everlasting items but my creatus always return fast due to 0 health.

Short answer: not yet. This is a planned update though.

"Back to my previous post- not sure if you saw my edit. The reason why i suggested having new strategies like "items only"/ "eggs only" is because even if i selected the "prefer items strategy" my creatus still usually bring back like 4 eggs (out of my 5 slots) and only 1 item from explore. This is disadvantageous especially during events where i want to find explore items only instead of eggs."

It's not disadvantageous though, because if your pet were to find an item in this situation and the inventory were full of eggs, the pet would drop an egg and take the item.

Love the newly added features. It makes it much easier now to clear my pets' inventories. Thanks!

Just a note about health depleting by percentage. If it always depletes by percentage there's no point in training health. It'll still deplete by percentage and so (if we use 10% as an example) a pet with 500 health would take the same 10 health hits at 50 each to get to 0 health as a pet with 25 health, except the pet with 25 health would be taking 2.5 damage each time.

If health depletes at a fixed percentage it's actually more beneficial to NOT train health because it's cheaper to heal them that way and has 0 benefit.

Health dropping at a fixed amount each time makes far more sense, so pets with more health aren't as likely to get sent home by it. There are already pets with higher health than others and I think they should be allowed to have the benefits of that health.

In another note, I've noticed that my only pet with max bonuses (as high intelligence and feeding bonus as you can get) often ends up coming home either first or second out of my group of 4. Not every time of course but it feels like it almost doesn't matter that it's trained up. Sometimes it's from health, but other times it comes home before the pets that have 0 stats because of hunger, which just seems silly.

The lock from when you lock an item should continue to show up after you sent the creatu out. This helps because my memory (and maybe others) suck, and I get paranoid when I lock a endless food item for exploring and ask myself time and time again whether I actually locked it or not. ;-;

Suggestion for the Food Pen to feed pets that are under 85 hunger.

Right now it doesn't feed them unless they are 70 or below. So if they are between the 70-80 range, we have to feed them manually to be useful for explore or treasure hunter.

Has the problem about the pets going to the graveyard and losing their names been solved? Cuz I just got that, I sent my pet out to explore yesterday and I found it unnamed in my graveyard today 0-0

Small suggestion, but having page numbers at the bottom of the page as well as top would be nice.

Also, any chance we could get a "quick feed" button that would fill all pets to full? Not every pet on the profile, but like if I have all of my adult CS pets selected in the Explore menu, or all my Ardurs, etc.

Creatu without experience point and 0 intellect getting better stuff than my 8 slotted and 100+ intellect creatu when i set them all to preferred items. One of my creatu is not picking up stuff when it came back from visiting another planet so i have empty the slot.

(I’m not sure if feedback is still being reviewed or taken into account, or even if this thread is still active, but I suddenly had a bunch of random feedback/ideas that I figured it couldn’t hurt to share).

First of all, I just want to make it abundantly clear that I am a HUGE fan of this feature. I really enjoy finding event items thru this feature. The most recent St. Paddy’s day event (hunting planet clovers and cabbages) gave me a great goal to keep me hooked for the two weeks I was hunting items. I would very much like to see a monthly event thing like this.

OK I admit I didn’t read every post on this thread because its almost 11pm and I just dont have the mental capacity to do that, so I’m sorry if a lot of these are repeats.

I know a lot of these suggestions would be things that would require greater system changes to enable the functionality, but why not, let me just write everything down:

1. Status filter: I agree with Lilith, I would REALLY like a Status: Ready filter be added, so I dont have to search through my n pages of Exploring or Resting creatu to find the one that’s Ready.

2. Exploring other planets: I may be in the minority, but I actually really do like only being able to explore your home planet - especially with how easy it is to switch planet using aura candles (which are easy to get via Twunties Treasures or Explore on other planets). Maybe to assuage users who are upset with only being able to explore their home planet, the chance of finding an aura candle while exploring a non-native planet can be increased? That being said, if the explore function completely replaces the RE egg finding, then I do think it might be a good idea to make it easier to explore other planets. Maybe allowing users to explore other planets, but can only send out ONE creatu to visit a non-native planet at a time?

3. Health: I also believe that your health should decrease by points, instead of percentage. IMO creatu with very high starting health or with a high max health should be able to explore longer (at least until they’re too hungry).

  1. 4. Pagination: I also agree with Lilith here that I would appreciate having page numbers at the bottom of the explore page. I might just be too lazy to scroll up, though.

  2. 5. Color filter glitch: I’m not sure if this is just me (definitely could be), but the Color: Natural filter does not work for me. It still shows all colored creatu. I have not checked the other colors.

  3. 6. Food/mass-feeding pets: I would love to see a link to the food pen (next to the Scria health place link) for easy access. Hm side thought - would it ever be possible to get a notification if you’re heading into reset with an empty food pen (and w/ pets that are starving)? Idk if this would make things “too easy”

  4. 7.  Health penalty: Now this might not be popular, but as we have pets that can starve, maybe we should have pets that can die from having too low health? Ie. Heading into reset with no health causes death?? Again, this might not be very popular. There might also already be something like this that I’ve forgotten.

  5. 8. More explore page functionality as a method of viewing all profile creatu: I’ve found the explore page to be the BEST way to view all my profile creatu. The teeny tiny little left/right toggle on the left panel menu I personally find is a very inconvenient way to scroll through your profile creatu to change which creatu you have selected (especially as we all have more creatu on our profiles now, with how much we explore). I would greatly enjoy being able to select a creatu on the explore page to make them my active/selected creatu, instead of having to go through those tiny arrows. Especially on mobile!

  6. 9. “Featured creatu” profile field: OK this would probably require a drastic change to profiles that might not be possible. I think I saw a post somewhere on this thread where people said the numbers of creatu they needed for exploring ( to constantly have 4 exploring) meant having a BUNCH of creatu on display on their profile that they really would have preferred not to have on display. Maybe to solve this, there could be a toggle called “Featured Creatu” under each creatu’s image on your Explore page. If this was set to “yes,” then their image would show up large on the profile (much like how they normally appear when visiting other people’s profiles). There could be another field (All Profile Pets field?) that would display ALL creatu (including those not “Featured Creatu=Yes”).

  7. 10. Explore log: I know someone has mentioned this already - a page that showed your log for the day. Such as “x creatu sent out”, “x creatu returned with loot a, b, c”, 3 creatu fed, creatu healed for 19,600 TU”....

  8. 11. A thank you for beta testers: it looks like in this thread there’s a number of users that are a bit... unsettled with the prospect of their work being reset during go-live. Not sure if when this goes live a small gift/token of appreciation could be given to those users that used this feature during its beta phase? Maybe even an update saying “All users who were involved in beta testing please comment before this date and you will receive X gift.” The gift could be something to help gain extra inventory slots/intuition (accelerated intuition?) for a short period of time or on a certain creatu?

  9. 12. Expansion of exploring planets: It would be cool to be able to send creatu to explore specific areas of planets. I think this would really be something I’d be super interested in. Maybe 3 different areas per planet, each with a cool planet themed name (I’m not creative enough for that) where the percentages of finding certain items/eggs are different? I’m from atquati so maybe a button “Explore the Atqueen Reef” where you have a better chance of getting skaldyr/ draqua eggs and maybe an item like.. a chunk of coral (lol). We could even expand on that one book “The Desert on Atquati” and have that as a place to explore (maybe no eggs, but more items? I’m blanking on if there are any atquati creatu that can survive a desert... Tesuri?). You could even do another round of the book contest to write stories for these new explore locations.

  10. 13. More items: Specific planet-themed HA items? A (forum) avatar you get the first time you explore a new planet? An avatar when you reach the intuition level that corresponds with 8 inventory slots (so 4 avvies, 1 for each planet)?

  11. 14. Addition of story text: “While (creatu name) was exploring, they stumbled upon Palora who granted them an extra inventory slot for the duration of their exploration.” Or “While (creatu name) was exploring, they stumbled upon (someone) who cursed them to have 2 fewer inventory slots for the duration of their exploration.” (+/- inventory slot depends on that specific creatus number of inventory slots or could be random)

  12. 15. Chance of finding seasonal/shrine eggs: OK I know this is a long shot as the way these eggs are found is an integral part to the Res economy, so I really do understand if this idea is shot down. BUT that being said, it would be really neat to have a 0.01% chance of stumbling upon a seasonal egg year round or a shrine egg. Or maybe an event 6 months after the seasonal egg release date where there’s 48 hours where there is a very small chance to stumble upon the egg while exploring? Though you’d definitely have people upset that they don’t belong to a certain planet when that happens. Like I know I would be a little put out that I don’t belong to Reiflem when the Iluvu would be briefly available in Reiflem explore on August 14th (if this were ever implemented)

Okay that’s all, sorry for my brain dump!!

Edit one additional thought...

16. Would it be possible to introduce a new buff that gives some sort of benefit for exploring a creatu that has the planet’s blessing? That may be a pretty neat way to tie the shrines to explore.

Just popping in to say that I would still REALLY like to be able to have the pets sorted in a way that isn't alphabetical. Even just the option to see them in the order you have them on your profile would be good, but a custom sort just for explore order would be ideal. I have 4 main pets which are a mix of black/albino and all CS. I can filter down to that much but they still end up on 4 different pages of the explore feature.

@Aizui

Are they from the same planet you are? i.e. Are they Reiflem pets and do you live on Scria? You can only explore your home world (or the world you used a candle for) with creatu from that planet or CS pets.

Are they adults? Teens and babies cannot explore.

By July 2021. Running one creatu daily as they eat too much to do teams. Teams reserved for special events now like cabbage pick ups. Hearing of other people who get teams of four to work well for them. Presumably they cope with captcha and buy cheap food in shops.

Just want to let you know I had an issue today where my Noctis went out to explore and did not pick anything up. It has never happened before.

Haku has some great ideas.
I particularly liked the health idea, more explore areas, items, random events/story, and tiny seasonal window.
