We noted the issue with using Atquati's shrine for the chocolate event!
We're going to try something else next time that won't make it inaccessible.

The event isn't quite over, but I think it's close enough since it ends in about 7 hours.

Carnival Feedback:

General:
- I like that there was a forum that helped explain most things
- The raffle was a fun interaction for the users as well
- Anything that is limited to 1 per purchase in NPC shops shouldn't be able to be asked for in regular quests. I got many deluxe cloaks asked for in the clothing and Harlows quests. It creates too much demand for those items and they should be excluded just like event/legendary items are (I've said this before and I will keep giving this same feedback).
- Carnival pages, especially the games, seem to load slower than most other pages on Res
- The new items were adorable, but why didn't the books have any content in them? I always look forward to reading the stories but it feels like lately books are just being put out to have book items rather than with any content in mind.
- Post event edit: Even though the event ended, the explore loot and store items only being purchasable one at a time didn't stop immediately. It's been a few hours now and still no change on that. It should probably have happened at the same time as everything else.

Fire Fly Catching:
- A nice little activity that everyone could participate in
- Thank you so so so much for the transparency on the leaderboard so we could make our own choices on whether it was worth fighting hard for it or not. I ended up choosing not to, but it was a choice I could actively make for myself. Just one little thing, seeing the trophies/avatars (or at least listing that there would be one if the art wasn't done) would have also been fabulous, since I saw several questions about whether there were different trophies for top 50 and top 25 or not.
- So glad this was left open after the leaderboard was over too so people could still get the participation prize
- I also really liked that you could get these from multiple avenues, including REs or explore

Rides/Activities/Scrapbook:
- If you'd already gotten the prizes from the rides other than "completion" there wasn't much of an incentive. The small TU/RC bonus wasn't worth it in terms of value for the tickets spent.
- Fortune Telling is another aspect that could do with the "transparency" I have always asked for and even made a suggestion forum for. We should know what's possible to get for spending that many tickets.
- It's very nice that users can now choose out of several photos to keep rather than have to pick only their favorite one

Vendor Quests:
- I love that we could get some items/tickets from doing little quests for the vendors
- Why do they have to be broken up into 5 per hour? The 10 per day limit is plenty so why can't we just do all 10 at once?

Games:
Speaking to the games that didn't change first
- As always, they're pretty but it's all basically the same RNG game with slightly different prize pools (some you can get a Mahina egg, some you can't, etc).
- Ideally, there would be a set number of times you could play the games and we could get them all out of the way at once. Barring that though, I would love to have it reset on the :00 mark like Bone Flip and the Sandcastle game rather than have a timer "since last played." I think any game on a timer generally speaking benefits from resetting at a set time rather than making the player have to either have a timer set for themselves or keep checking back

Now speaking to the new Balloon Pop game:
- I love having a new, interactive game to play, it's very nice.
- The absolute biggest thing that this new format gave me that was helpful was that I could finish it all in one go and didn't have to keep checking back every hour for more. I was over the moon about this and wish all of the games were like that honestly.
- Sometimes the hit boxes were a little weird but I mostly got used to it
- It doesn't work on iPhone no matter what browser I try
- The little "i" button should give actual info on the game (prizes, how to play, etc) rather than just bringing up "Brought to you by Rescreatu" as it does. It's not really much of an info box and we know where it comes from without that.
- It started muted, thank you so so much for this. I cannot stress enough how much I would have jumped out of my seat and probably bothered everyone around me if it started with sound
- All of the issues should definitely be ironed out before converting any of the other games I think considering some users would have no way of getting tickets almost if they were all like this
- The prizes are insanely rare sometimes and other times they're semi-common. I posted this on the event-specific thread but I'm re-posting to have it in as many places as possible:

New Balloon Pop Prize Testing:
Day 1:
~ 10-13 to get to 50 tickets (forgot to keep track exactly but was getting 4 or 5 and rarely 6 tickets per game)
0 prizes in that time
After hitting 50 tickets:
- Turned off adblockPlus after 13 more attempts
- Turned off ublock origin as well after 18 attempts
- Got annoyed and turned everything back on after 20 attempts
- Had points during the initial rounds, 157 max, the rest of the rounds had no points because I was told in the SB you just get a chance at the end and points don't matter, despite what it says under the game.

Total attempts: ~30-33

Day 2:
I got a prize finally, 45+ games in and when I hit a score of 161. I don't know if the score has anything to do with it but if it does, that's not what was said when asked.

Game 8, 161 points: prize
Game 9, 145 points: prize
Game 10, 162 points: no prize
Next 10 games: 0 points, 0 prizes

So do points matter or am I just unlucky? If they do, the text under the game says "Scoring enough points will net you some cool prizes!" but it's not "will" it's "might." If points matter, what's the minimum score? Can that be posted somewhere? Why is it RNG? Can it be not RNG for once? If we get the minimum required score to get a prize, we should get a prize, not hope to get one. For now it's fine but if there are ever game-exclusive prizes in the prize pool that's going to be a bit of an issue.

I've only played the New Balloon Pop for 2 days. Got queasy seeing fast moving objects going different directions.

Making this a separate post because it's not really related specifically to the Carnival. The overlap between events is still absolutely killer. It's just too much each day. Honestly, I would much prefer if the Halloween event properly intersected with Halloween, having the holiday somewhere in the middle of the event. Especially if we aren't doing many updates to it each year, it should be pretty feasible to start it almost whenever.

The Carnival could be moved to earlier in the year. I know the fairs that come to town are more often in the later summer months in my area, so why not move the Carnival down to August or September and fill up that event-less space a bit? If we want the Luau, June/July are great months for it. The spread is much better/cleaner of the events and we aren't bombarded with so much at once that way.

Halloween:

General:
- The forum was, once again, great, both with the explanation and the raffles
- This bears repeating, the overlap between events is too much. Shift this event back to coincide with Halloween and move the Carnival to earlier in the year, like August/September
- The forum could have included a list of which shops have event items in them, not just the outfits but everything
- I liked that the link to the forum was on the event page too
- New undeads were lovely as always
- I don't mind that the story was repeated, the event already started pretty late and I imagine it would have been much harder to hit the deadline if it wasn't

Games/Lair:
- I love that bone flip is on the :00 and :30 mark for resetting. More games should be like this
- As always, my complaint is that the bigger the pool, the harder it is to get the new items. The number of "nothing" items we get is crazy too. Maybe have a faster way to turn stuff in and have a set number of items per random lair item? I don't know honestly

ToT:
- I still don't like the P2P ToT at all for multiple reasons. 1) People who can't be online constantly have a hard time hitting milestone rewards. 2) If you aren't on the SB, that's it, you're doomed, you aren't getting milestones period.
- That being said, the fact that we only needed 25 incoming was nice and the 50 was just a bonus thing.
- Also improved was the fact that the profile ToT existed, which meant that the non-milestone items were at least obtainable
- If P2P is here to stay, then we should at least change it to a set time to reset the ToT, just like Bone Flip. So :00, :20, and :40 is when your ToT "resets" rather than sitting on a timer, for the same reasons listed out in my argument for carnival stuff being on a :00, :30 reset and the same reasons I love that Bone Flip and the Sandcastle game do it.
- NPCs should never be "out" of candy when you ToT them. It should be a guaranteed item.
- The timer on the ToT page often said 00:00:00 and I couldn't ToT for another minute or so
- The red error banner still says "you can only ToT every 30 minutes" even though it was updated to 20 ages ago
- If an account is banned they shouldn't be allowed to receive ToTs. It should treat them like their light is off (responding to theirs should still be possible). More than once in previous years I started ToTing someone only to realize that they had been banned between the last time I'd talked to them and that moment so I had wasted a bunch of outgoing requests. I know this happened to a few people this year too although I avoided it.

Egg hunt:
- I will keep saying this after every single event. 48 hours straight is too much to expect of anyone that has school or a job, which at this point is most of Res. Make the hunts shorter but let us pause them as often as we want. We'll still get a similar amount of time hunting in reality but we can spread it in a way that makes sense to us, like a couple hours in the evenings over several evenings. It's especially crazy if we're this close to Thanksgiving and during the Christmas event it's just the holiday season. During the time the event was taking place I was out of the house for about 5 or 6 days not counting work, meaning I just worked around what little time I did have for hunting. If I could have fit in a few hours a night but had a limit of even 12-18 hours total that would still have felt better.
- The above would also get rid of a lot of the tedium. By the end of the first hunt I'm burnt out. By the end of the second I want to take a break for a full week and just not look at Res anymore. That's not a good reaction.
- The glow is great, never get rid of the glow

Turn-in/Leaderboard:
- Why did we not have the prizes at the top of the board like with the carnival? It felt like we moved backwards on transparency.
- For whatever reason my score wasn't bolded at the top. Would be nice for readability
- 20 is still way too small a leaderboard. With every other event it's at minimum top 25 getting the "top" prize, whether that's expanded to all 50 or not. Even 5 more spots would be great and wouldn't affect the price of the leaderboard items by much at all
- The confirmation for the egg turn-in should say what stage the egg is at. I select "Spoiled Ebilia Egg" and on the confirmation just see "Ebilia Egg" which is not great
- Broomsticks are a massive pain to turn in for so few points. Either remove the dropdown selection phase (it's all the same broomstick, there is nothing unique about them per Xister) or put us back on the dropdown page when we hit the "back" link after successfully turning one in. I prefer the first option personally. Even that one less click is already way better for just 5 points.

Hope TOT light is off by default because I tot players that log in once in a while. I suggest 2 official bot accounts. One for giving treat and the other trick plus they always tot the players back.

Carnival Event Feedback:
-- GAMES -- I think a lot of what I have to say revolves around the RNG based games. Can we get a game or two that relies on Creatu skills or less RNG? It would be easy especially for the strength game and would complement the training system and incentivize that more. Not saying that newer members with creatu with less stats should be penalized, but at least make it a little less RNG and a little more interactive on some level? For example, the new interactive Balloon Pop was great but even with scores over 200 I was barely getting any tickets and did not get prizes. Made it seem pretty disappointing to even try and I just ended up ignoring that game after a couple plays.

-- VENDOR QUESTS -- It was mentioned above but what's the point in a 1 hour limit between quests for vendors? I would rather get all ten done when I can and not have to check back after a whole hour for seemingly no reason? If there is a reason that's fine, I just couldn't think of any justifications for waiting.

-- VENDORS/FORTUNE TELLING -- It was also mentioned above me somewhere, but transparency for what the Fortune Teller can give would be great please. Also, I would like maybe a 'new item list' in the forums or a marker on items that are new that are being sold, if possible. Not that big of a deal, but I think it would make it easier to tell which items are returning and which ones were just released.

Halloween Event Feedback:
-- ToT -- I could only hit the rewards by advertising literally every hour in the shoutbox until someone was kind enough to offer to exclusively spam me with incoming trick or treats. Had this person not done that, I would have never even come close to reaching either reward for my incomings. Outgoing is fine, but I propose getting rid of or reducing the incoming. Only the popular users are going to get that many incoming. It's unfair to users to either can't or don't use the Shoutbox.

-- Items/Prizes -- I didn't know what was on the leaderboard so I completely ignored that part of the event. I think this is unfair, again, to all users. Staff are going to have an advantage of knowing if they want to go for it or not, so why can regular users not just make their own decision on if they want to try for a leaderboard?
-Going along with items, the Lair felt vastly annoying but I guess that's just another downside of RNG based item turn ins. Maybe a meter like the shrines can be suggested instead? Turn in x amount of items for points and get a guarenteed item after a set amount of score on the meter. That way you know you're getting an item and aren't feeling like you've wasted hundreds of items for nothing.
-Similarly, it would be nice to have more ways to get an item that gives an effect. Maybe sell them limitedly in a shop, like make Ty's Dye's an effect shop for events as well, and let us get more that way.

-- Random Events -- I was disappointed that so few of my Creatu got to be Undead this year. It felt so hard to get that effect and it is one of the ones that has the most pets available for it. Can we get more Curse of the Undead events (I got literally one the entire time the event was active, and similarly only got one while trick or treating, so two total) and maybe 2 during Lair turn ins. I'd just like to see more accessibility for effects.
-There felt like there was so many useless Random Events. Can they give a ToT item 50% of the time instead? Or have the ability to turn off red banners that don't give anything/are just fluff?

-- Egg Hunt -- I really like when egg hunts have items. I really like the glow. Please let all egg hunts have items!
-I don't like the 48 hours and then you're done. I don't like that we had to activate the hunt during the 48 hours before the event closing to get a chance at it. Why couldn't I activate it during the final 24 and just have that final 24 to hunt? Is there a way to make egg hunts deactivate at that time regardless of when they're started? I missed out on a hunt because I was not able to be online between the 62 and 48 hour mark before the event ended and despite having plenty of time in the final 48 hours, I could not start my other hunt. I wouldn't have minded only have 24 hours or whatever, but I did not get even that option.

-- Final Thoughts -- With all these events so close together, it seems weird to limit time things such as starting egg hunts before the final 48 hours of the event. I also don't like all the event overlap we're having, but it's doable I guess, just annoying more than anything. I think, like has been stated before, having the Carnival earlier would make sense, and then the Halloween event could start a little before Halloween instead of waiting until the day of to start.
-Overall, I've enjoyed events, I do wish there was some staff interaction with this feedback so we know if some of these suggestions were/were not possible!
Thanks for reading!

Thanksgiving Event

General
- Biggest complaint: Once again, back-to-back events constantly all throughout. I know Thanksgiving+Advent happen really close, that's fine, but with the other stuff before it I'm already burnt out completely and we haven't even gotten going on Christmas
- In the update it said pets wouldn't lose hunger/health from explore or reset, which was fun! However, for the duration of the event everything on my profile lost hunger every reset. It's not a huge deal, but this was never addressed in any way so people that weren't paying attention may not have noticed and lost a pet or two. At the very least an update should have been made saying that hunger was being lost or the original update should have been edited to remove the reset portion of it.
- The seed of gratitude RE is still popping up as of posting this, 2 days after the event has closed.
- Minor gripe: There's a regular item that appears to never have been released or something called "Pecan Muffin" and the event item called "Pecan Muffins" and it's just a little too close. Maybe since it hasn't been released change the "Pecan Muffin" to "Almond Muffin" or something. The descri.ption would have to be updated too. (Raisin and Chocolate Chip ones already exist so please don't use those)

Pie Baking/Leaderboard
- I got to see the rewards for the leaderboards again! I love this and it should always be there, I don't know why we keep swapping back and forth
- There was no pie burning again and I was very very thankful for that. Please continue to keep that every year going forward.

Quest Rewards
- The new book was in quest rewards lists twice
- Quests are such a limited resource, I don't think the basic pie ingredients should have been in the reward list. It felt worse to get an ingredient than when I got nothing at all as a bonus. At the very most it should be all the event items, although an argument could be made that it should only be the ones not in shops. I would be fine with either ultimately as long as the ingredients were removed.

Shop Restock
- There were 3 event items that were not set to the event rarity. I reported early on that there were two and gave their names (I only noticed the third later) but throughout the event their rarity remained "rare" so they didn't stock as often and could be asked for in quests. Even to the end of the event they weren't fixed.

Pie Baking Event // Captcha Issue

This is sort of a year-round issue but I only recently returned to Res so it's the first I've encountered it.

I really understand & appreciate the need for the captcha function on buying items, but if there was any possible way to make it less painful that would be really cool. :') I found if I answered the captchas too quickly I would start getting "punished" with long-form captchas that required solving 5+ different captchas in a row, which meant in the time it took me to buy a single item, someone else who was only required to answer one captcha could've bought 5+ items... And answering those captchas is already pretty miserable and made me not want to participate.

If we only had to check "I'm not a robot" or do a single-image captcha that would be nice.

Winter Event Feedback:

Updates/Event Ending News/Raffle News
--Making a note first that my pets are still finding event items in explore (1/10) when I think the entire event was supposed to end 1/7.
--No update given about the advent calendar raffle... Was that already raffled off and there was no note of it somewhere? Also the same with the stardust skin.
-No update given about when New Years items are not findable any longer.

Item Hoarding
--I understand the change in what items are allowed to be collected/turned in for the main part of the event. I am very glad there was still somewhere to turn in old items. However, this will not stop the hoarding problem. Users can stockpile from the end of this event when the items were a free for all and had no purchase limit and now could potentially have thousands in their inventory for next year. If you wanted to prevent hoarding, these items would have to be something unsellable and not in inventories - rather maybe items with 'time limits' (maybe something like... snowflakes? that are random events or hidden throughout pages on the site. I don't know if there would be a way to prevent auto s with this type of thing. But they would 'melt' after the winter event was over, so hoarding would be impossible).
-Rich users especially still have an advantage here. The rich are always going to have advantages with event turn in systems like this because they do have the tu to hoard even the more expensive event items. This still creates a vastly unfair playing field.
-Lack of communication was a bit upsetting regarding the turn in items, but again I understand why it had to be done.

Egg Hunting
--Perhaps a way to time the egg hunts for how many active minutes are spent on the egg hunt page rather than simply a set 48 hour period back to back? I can collect 5-10 eggs with my work schedule in the span of a consecutive 48 hour chunk of time, but would love a way to extend/spread out this limit, especially during the holiday season.
--More event items in egg hunts perhaps? So egg hunting doesn't feel as mundane.
--Purchase huntable eggs from event vendors - much like the Narwi exchange, I think it would be great if all seasonal eggs could have that for those that don't have as much time to spend hunting especially. I understand this may be an unpopular idea, but I think it would help a bit with the accessibility to eggs.

 Contests
--Everything but contests was extended for the winter event? A little confused by that, would have loved to have time to enter. I could be misremembering, but if I'm not mistaken these also were open late so it seemed a bit unfair to open them late and not extend these as well; especially as its the holiday season and it's a busy time for people.

Narwi Exchange
--Turning in these items was impossible at times. I am admittedly a bit confused as to why nothing changed regarding this turn in system, and I'm really hoping it doesn't make a comeback for future events D:

Thanks for your hard work!

Winter Event Feedback:

Egg Hunts:
- I didn't do the hunts because I didn't even sort of have 48 hours to dedicate to them, but I did see people complaining on the SB about there not being many items and the timers so, like I say every event: Shorter time, infinite pauses for egg hunts
- Related to this: Hunts should always have multiple items in them otherwise you just spend ages clicking and seeing nothing whatsoever and it's even more demoralizing than just sitting there for 48 hours clicking
- I know it's better than it was before, but the hunts really are just monotonous and boring to me. I have to turn on a movie or something while I do it (the glow has helped with this and once again, super appreciate that) and it's not engaging at all. It's more frustrating and I'm always completely burned out after even just one of them. Not being required to do it in a consecutive 48 hours would help with this for sure but it's still a very daunting prospect to even start it. Some events I'll start a hunt and 30 minutes later regret ever even considering starting it.

Turn-ins:
- You've heard this a thousand times, but I'm going to put it here too. The item turn-in for the Narwi Exchange was painful, mentally and physically. I had to wait over a minute for the page to load at all and then had to click through each item individually. I'm not sure why it was decided to do it that way when all other turn-ins are already dropdowns but I do think it needs to swap to the same as everything else.

Quests:
- I like that the Klaws Co quest was a way to get some Creatu baubles/candy canes. That was really good. I also really appreciate that the entire toy/squishy shops weren't limited to 1 item at a time purchasing. It seems like everyone could still get all the items they needed and it wasn't a chore to buy them.

Ice Tunnels:
- While I appreciate the new frostlight pets (love them) and that there's a pattern of "get all the glyphs to get the prize" the more pets we get that are frostlit + RNG the harder it is to get all the glyphs in time. This is the same problem I mention about "more items" in pools for other events like Halloween but on a scale where you have a limited number of tries. I only found all the glyphs after the end of the original event time so the extension really helped.

Misc:
- Santa Hat Shuffle was on the :00 and :30 mark. Love it, all event games and as many regular games as possible should be like this. 10/10, perfect.

Advent calendar is my favorite part of the event.
I like that Klaws co and tree decorating give out seasonal eggs so I don't need to hunt for them.
Favorite new item is clear baubles.
Favorite new apparel is Atquati lights background. Beautiful vivid colors.
Favorite new frost light creatu is shaefu. Very cute.
Like the seasonal stocking shop. Can get the my choice stocking for collection.

I know we're taking a step back from events but figured I'd throw this in quickly. Mostly the same statements as other events.

Egg Hunt
- Same as always. I had no large blocks of hunting time, so I ended up only hunting long enough to get what I wanted from Gwen then stopping instead of dealing with the stress of worrying about my time block. Give us less time, let us pause

ToT (Valentine, whatever)
- I think resetting at the :00, :15, :30, and :45 minute marks would be better than having to wait exactly 15 minutes. It would make it easier to time and be more forgiving for people that have real life things going on.
- We needed a lot of requests to hit the milestones. Unless you have someone you're partnered with, finding people to get you to the right ToTs in the right amount of time is nearly impossible. I had to spam a ton of people to get them to their incoming goals. Near the beginning very few people have their lights on as well and this whole process feels like it gets harder every single event for some reason. Whether that's less users or just because it's such a slog (especially with the exact timing). I don't know how anyone that doesn't live in the SB does it. My assumption is "they don't."
- I still occasionally have "00:00:00 left until next request" on my timer but I can't send a request for another minute or so.
- The error message about how often we can send Valentines matches the actual timing! Hurray!
- What happened to profile ToT? I know it's existed in previous events so it's not new coding or anything. Why didn't we have it? It's a great way for people that can't sit around all day sending out requests to get a few extra items.
- Related: I think I hit over 250 of each outgoing type at some point and still had grayed out event items in the list. That's insane. Every event it becomes harder and harder to get the ones you want.

Event Items
- I love that the event items are in the dailies, gives a tiny boost at least.
- The turn-in value of event items is miniscule. In the entire event I would have gotten maybe 500-600 points off the items if I turned 100% of them in and I was way overdoing my time on Res the whole time. Most people wouldn't hit even close to that.
- I'm glad the item turn-in has dropdowns though. It makes it feasible to use.
- Slightly different kind of event item but the items being stocked in shops are stocking at "very rare" and one at a time, but all in shops that are related to quests, meaning anyone doing the quests might be asked for these very limited items.

Thumbs up for 5 minutes ToT on last day.
I wish there are indicative thought bubble apparels. For example, on the left would be "need" decline(picture of black heart). While on the right is "giving" accept(picture of pink heart).
Some statistics:
Unlocked all milestones on Feb 15th with outgoing request of 124 accepts and 70 decline.
Needed an amorous RSTU001 which I did not get from ToT but daily rewards. Final outgoing tally is: 243 accepts and 152 declines with 18 pending.
