This is something I'm working on for fun. Please comment.

Perfectedflaw edited it for me.

A very long prologue

Rescreatu: a beautiful world where creatu live in peace. Four planets connected together by portals exist and coincide; these planets are Relcore, Reiflem, Atquati and Scria. Each planet holds unique characteristics which attract and spawn different species. Forests of old heavily cover much of Relcore. Dotted here and there is an occasional lake or creek. Atquati is a complete water world. Everything is either under the crystal water, or floating on top. Reiflem practically rains ashes; dormant and active volcanoes alike are everywhere. This planet is fiery and has very harsh living conditions.  Scria itself seems not to rest of the actual ground of the planet, but floats on cotton-candy and pearly-white clouds. The views it holds are breathtaking.

A sepia meiko flew in Reiflem’s skies, ash raining down around him. He enjoyed the heat and harsh living conditions; he was born for the life on this planet. But he was not flying for the views of a new volcanic eruption, or to even see if he could find a friendly face idly wandering around the bank. He was off to Scria to visit a close friend; it was a planned trip that made him excited.

With sudden energy he bolted to the Portal station. Hundreds of creatu were coming in and out, visitors and citizens together. Colors mingled: naturals seemed to blend in more whereas the golds, silvers, and albinos stood out. The meiko smiled happily; portal technology was so advanced, so cool. The exhilaration of a fast take off was so refreshing and thrilling; he loved traveling through the portals. With a sinking feeling he remembered the distance between Reiflem and Scria; the trip was going to be a long one. He dove down toward the station. It sat on a slab of granite; for some reason its rickety appearance always made him shudder. Buildings in Reiflem were generally small because they had to be built on rocks; lava flowed everywhere on the planet, including around the rocks. So, of course, the portal station at Reiflem was small.

The sepia meiko walked into the building. Inside, there were floors made of dark obsidian. A large grey desk stood in his way; at it working was a beautiful cream ardur. From what he could tell from the shape of her eyes, it was female. She smiled, showing all of her glinting teeth.

“Hello, and welcome to Reiflem portal stations. Please stay where you are if you know the location of which you are going. If not, please step aside so we can take the next customer. Remember our new Credits ride which allows you to have non-stop buffet and 24/7 service. If you don’t have any credits we offer the Gold Premium Membership yearlong p*censored* that costs 200 tu for 5 months.” The meiko shook his head; he didn’t have that type of wealth.

“How much for a trip to Scria?” he asked.

The female ardur pointed with her tail at the huge sign behind her reading:

Trip to Relcore……….100 tu

Trip to Atquati………100 tu

Return trip to Refleim…..80 tu

Trip to Scria…………..1,000 tu

The sepia meiko sighed. “Withdraw the tu from my bank account,” he said.

The ardur nodded. “What’s your name and PIN number?” she asked.

“My name’s Matsua; PIN number is 5399” he answered.

The ardur nodded abruptly and then turned back to her computer. Her claws tacked on the large keys as she retrieved the tu.

“PIN is valid. Here’s your slot card.” she said as she opening a drawer on her desk and pulled out a plastic card that read: “P*censored*. #4”. Matsua took the card and walked along the obsidian floor. Ahead were three circular hallways, a sign over each one. He went through the hall labeled “Scria”. After some walking the hallway narrowed to reveal the sphere-shaped portals. They ran on a black track that seemed to stretch on and on. His was last in line to launch; that had to add on at least another half-hour more of waiting. He inserted his slot card and the gl*censored*y doors slid open. Curved leather seating lined the edge of the sphere portal. A basket of juicy green apples sat on a nailed-down table. Creatu were scattered randomly on the seats reading magazines, playing on hand-held touch screens, etc.

“Welcome,” an electronic voice said as he walked silently into the portal. A couple creatu looked up as sat down. One indigo Zenirix slept with a silky top hat covering his eyes. To the front of him was a touch screen computer attached to the wall. Two speakers lay nestled on either side of the portal. Matsua noticed, excited, that there was a window right above his head. When they were going to be launched in space, he would be able to see everything!

An electronic voice recording came over the speakers, “Ready to launch in sixty seconds. Please be aware that by riding in this portal you are taking a very miniscule risk of crashing. If there is a problem there is an air mask available to you right above your head. One size fits all creatu. Take off speed is 1000 miles per hour. Feel free to eat the snacks prepared for you. Thank you for deciding to choose the Reiflem Portal Station. Enjoy the trip.”

Matsua suddenly felt vibrations as the portal gained speed. The speed of the launch glued him to his seat for a split-second, then the portal was traveling through space at a leisurely pace.  He looked through the crystal-clear window provided. The station was far behind them now; space dust dangerously floating near them. He grumbled as he reached for one of the apples; he preferred meat, (especially fire-rats), but at least the apple filled him up. With his claws Matsua sliced it. He scowled at the taste; sweet, citrusy, not filling, and yet a little bitter at the same time. It was also very juicy, but not the juicy tender kind of taste you could get from eating meat. He laid back down on the seat and fell asleep to p*censored* the time.

A while later the electronic voice said “Landing. Please note we will be slowing down. Do not attempt to exit the portal until we come to a complete stop. Thank you.” The touch screen computer showed a gold and silver female kioka telling the weather forecast for Scria. Apparently it was “Super perfect flying conditions for all you flying creatu, as always!”

Not a minute later he felt the portal slow down, and then jolt when it came to a stop. “Thank you for choosing Refleim Portal Station. You may now exit the portal,” the electronic voice said yet again. Yeah, whatever, Matsua thought as the metal doors opened. He stepped out. He was now in the Scria Portal Station. It was huge; Creatu were walking and crowding everywhere, from all planets. One would spot a familiar face, run over and say hi. Mates would be re-united and nuzzle each other in the middle of the floor. Older females were carrying eggs back from the planet. He stood in awe, not paying attention to the line he was creating as he clogged the entry back into the portal. A black vogar bumped into him. Scars lined his face and back; hard muscles rippled underneath.

“S-sorry,” Matsua said hastily. Vogars were aggressive and easily-angered; better not mess with one. If possible, it scowled even more than before.

“Yeah, whatever Runt. Just move it before I bite your head off,” he said fiercely.

Matsua hurried out of the way. He spotted something that made him stop completely and stare. A stunning silver female meiko, adolescent, was walking towards the Relcore portals. She was grinning, showing all of her sharp teeth…perfect pearly white. Her eyes were as blue as the enchanted spring water in Atquati. Then, her eyes met his. She blushed a little, as did he. She walked over to him.

“Hi… My name’s Crystal,” she said. Her voice was rough and soft at the same time. “I’m so sure I’ve seen you before… I wonder where?” she mused.

Matsua was blown away. “Our paths might have crossed in Reiflem. My name is Matsua. Nice to meet you,” he said. Crystal nodded and then giggled a little. Not a moment later a very handsome black male meiko got in between Matsua and Crystal. He barely paid any attention to Matsua though.

“Where were you?” he asked urgently.

Crystal sighed, and then smiled. “I was simply looking around. Scria is so amazing. No need to get worked up, Tempest,” she said.

The meiko smiled and intertwined his tail with hers. “Don’t do that to me,” he said softly. Crystal sighed happily and Matsua blushed. Oh gosh, they were probably mates. Even worst, Tempest had a real-word name. Lucky!

“I’m sorry,” he said to Crystal. Crystal smiled. “It’s all right. It happens all the time,” she said.

I can imagine, Matsua thought. A pretty female silver meiko would attract a lot of attention. Matsua was pretty much an adolescent now. He wasn’t that bad looking, either, and was easy to get along with. In addition, he was colored; sepia only, but still, that was better than nothing. When you turned adolescent, it was time for you to start looking for a mate. Matsua realized that his friend would be getting anxious and impatient. He walked out of the Scria Portal Station. The sight he saw took his breath away. Of course, it always took his breath away. Beautiful views of water as clear as gl*censored*, little clouds everywhere.

The ground was soft and strange plants were everywhere. The best thing was the view of the sky; the sun was setting in a ray of colors. Creatu would stop, just like Matsua, to admire the beauty. He launched himself into the sky. Flying in Scrian skies was like nothing else. No ash falling, just gorgeous views. Matsua glanced down and spotted several drindian eggs, the most common egg in Scria. He circled the mainland until a small stream came into view; he followed it until he arrived at a mini island that his friend lived on. While he was staring at it, he noticed a little creatu admiring the sky. It spotted Matsua and began running around in circles. Matsua grinned.

“Hi Coffee!” he yelled as he landed on the small island.

It was a small, ginger kayoki. She was still a baby, yet her eyes looked intelligently at Matsua as she studied him.

“You’re late,” she said, her voice was soft and sweet. Matsua shuffled his feet, cutting and ripping the gr*censored* with his claws.

 “Well…” he trailed off.

“And,” the small creatu observed, “You’ve grown.”

Matsua nodded. “Yeah, I guess,” he said. The kayoki tapped her little paw on the ground making an inaudible noise.

“And why were you late?” she demanded. Matsua blushed; how could he explain Crystal?

“You saw a pretty little meiko didn’t you?” she teased. Matsua grinned.

“She was silver,” he said. The kayoki sighed.

“Come on. I know you’re hungry,” she said. There was a large hole in the ground on the island that Coffee could easily go in and out of. He sucked inward and squeezed himself it. How in the world would he get in when he was an adult?

Surprisingly, he and Coffee had “met” when he had found her egg in Reiflem. Matsua had figured some nasty creatu had been planning on making kayoki soufflé but had abandoned the egg for some reason. Next thing he knew, he was traveling to Scria. He found this lonely island and watched, excited, as Coffee hatched. He was even more in awe when he realized she hatched ginger. When he named, Coffee had just stuck.

Inside Coffee’s little burrow there was gr*censored* on the floor, a sort of natural carpet, a place in the middle of the room where a fire had obviously been, and a small nest in the corner where Coffee had been sleeping. The strangest sight, however, was the shelf filled completely with coffee filters, coffee powder, instant coffee bags, and a pot with which Coffee filled with water for making coffee with often.

Coffee then scurried over to the coffee shelf, dug around, and found a basket filled with already dead fire-rats that had been slow cooked over a fire. Matsua’s mouth started watering.

“Want some?” she asked, grinning. Matsua nodded, took a fire-rat and tore into it. Coffee herself took a fire-rat and started wolfing it down. The kayoki seemed to be in a great hurry; she finished her meal even before Matsua.

“Hurry up, Mat,” she said impatiently. Matsua rolled his eyes. He gulped down the last of the rat.

“I know, I know,” he said. “Let’s go.”

The two exited the hole and walked into the fresh night air. The sun had sunk completely and now bright stars of space debris dotted the deep blue sky. Matsua sighed happily; in Reiflem you couldn’t see any stars at all, mostly because of the frequent volcanic eruptions and the ash polluted sky.

.…The rest is under extreme editing.

... You're really making me wanna draw. xD There's so much awesome deion here - and the portal stations were very interesting. I'd always thought of just your average swirly portal, but your idea's simply brilliant.

And that Vogar made me grin. x3 It seems I always like the grumpy ones.

Yoshi go ahead and draw if you wanna xD Here's some more... Finally... I've found a way to continue the plot...

Of course, he still loved Reiflem better than Scria; but it was nice to have a break every now and again.

Coffee stared up at the sky and pointed to the bright, glowing star that was shining a little bit to the left of Relcore. It looked almost as big, and only a little farther away.

“Mat,” she said after a while, “have you ever wondered about that planet?” Matsua looked over at Coffee, a surprised ex
pression on his face.

“Well,” he said slowly, gathering his thoughts, “I never gave it too much thought, but I’ve always felt like it looked a lot like Relcore.” The ginger kayoki nodded.

“Yes,” she murmured. “Like a second Relcore.” Matsua wondered what was on his little friend’s mind. She seemed deep in thought.

“Why wouldn’t they attach a portal there, too?” Coffee muttered quietly under her breath. Matsua heard her speak. Again, he looked at her, surprised.

“We’ve all been told that our four planets are the only planets that are able to sustain life. Attaching a portal to another planet would be useless,” he answered. Coffee nodded in agreement to this.

“But we have never explored that one,” she said. Matsua laid back in the luscious, Scrian gr*censored* and stared with a new curiosity that was blooming at the unidentified planet.

meeting dr. raddish

Warning!!! UNEDITED MATERIAL!!!

The small, ginger kayoki’s curiosity about the mysterious “Second Relcore” was contagious; so much so, in fact, that Matsua had a very peculiar dream. He dreamt that he kept on telling everyone about how he was going to visit Second Relcore and they all acted like he was a liar. I’m not lying, I’m telling the truth! He yelled at all of them. Then Coffee confronted him and laughed at him and he told her to stop laughing but she wouldn’t… Stop it… Stop laughing!

“Wake up, Mat!” Matsua finally opened his eyes. Coffee was giggling and prodding his arm. He had slept all night at Coffee’s place, curled up in a corner on the earth floor. Coffee was still trying to stifle her giggles as Matsua slowly woke up. He wasn’t the type of creatu to be able to wake up early in the morning and be awake almost instantly.

“Goomorn’,” Matsua mumbled, bleary eyed, to Coffee. Coffee looked back at him with extremely intelligent, very much awake eyes.

“Good morning,” she said cheerfully in reply. Matsua could tell that the sun had yet to rise. He yawned and wished very dearly that he could have at least another hour to sleep in—obviously, though, Coffee already had plans for the day. Matsua didn’t ask what they were yet (he would not speak until he had had some caffeine).

Coffee and Matsua had a breakfast of pizza (a very strange breakfast food, but extremely filling) and had some coffee, of course. Matsua had to drink two cups before he was completely satisfied. Finally, he felt more awake. By this time, the sun was a very bright red light on the horizon, just about to show its face to the world. Of course, to the side that wasn’t facing the sun it was nighttime. The four planets all orbited around one sun which was positioned in the very middle of them.

“So,” Matsua said after a few moments of silence, “what have you planned for today?” Coffee grinned. Her small tail swished from side to side in excitement. Matsua’s sharp, yellow eyes gleamed with amusement. Sometimes kayokis reminded him of foxsquirrels—cute little things that tiny and ran around Reiflem. Of course, Matsua didn’t generally eat kayokis; he did, however, eat foxquirrels.

“I planned a meeting with a friend of mine,” she said. Matsua looked suspiciously at the tiny creature before him. Coffee caught the look in his eye and explained further.

“I made friends with a gondra while in Relcore—you would like her, she’s smart—and she’s a scientist and an astronomer,” she said. “She works for this cool organization of scientists called the Exploration Team of New Things. Her office is in this huge building in Adagu City.” Okay, Matsua thought, she sounds okay. And he had a nagging feeling in the back of his head why Coffee wanted to meet with this gondra. He decided not to voice this just yet.

“What’s her name?” he asked curiously. Coffee stopped swishing her tail.

“Promise you won’t laugh, okay?” she said hesitantly. Matsua impatiently promised.

“Her name is… Dr. Raddish,” Coffee answered after a moment of pause. Matsua stood stock still. Everything on his body was absolutely frozen. He was trying with all his might not to laugh. Coffee’s soft ears twitched a bit; her eyes sparkled with unspoken laughter.

“How—“ Matsua broke off, stifling the urge to laugh again. “How did you earn the tu to get to Relcore?” While licking her fur a bit and scratching her ears with her tail, Coffee answered.

“Oh, I found a little job around here in Scria. I find abandoned Drindian eggs that are lying around and give them to the Freedom Scrian Hatchery Center. They pay me 10k an egg. It all adds up, in the end. I’ve got 200k so far,” she said proudly. Matsua was happy for his friend, but at the same time wished he could find such a job. Right now he was simply relying on the random tu he seemed to stumble upon occasionally. I wonder who drops all of that tu, he thought to himself absently.  [I’ll write more, don’t worry, ^^]

Oh yeah!!! I changed the ti
tle of the first chapter... Now it is not "A very long prolouge". The first chapter is now called "The Fifth Planet". When I began writing it I thought that the first thing would be nothing more than a prolouge.
