The drawings show that you have potential to become a good artist. :3

I'd suggest copying art drawings that you like, I learned how to draw by copying petsite art by eye, exactly how it is. Aslong as you don't claim the artwork to be of your own design, then its fine. Then shading and anotomy will become natural to you after a while.

Thanks Ardor, Haha, thats what I do actually... see I dont have a scanner, or any of that nifty cool stuff for computer graphics, so I cant put any of my stuff online. I am really good, just not that great on paint...but I am getting better ;o. Thanks for the critisim and pointers ;D

I understand your scanner and graphics technology problem, I have the same one. If you have a digital camera though, you can just take pics of your drawings and post them that way, it's what I do with mine and i get along just fine, nice pics by the way

Ardor, copying isn't going to help you increase you're art skills. You won't become an artist, you'll become a photocopying machine. You should try to understand shapes and anatomy and sketch it out by yourself.

One thing I find that really helps was attempting to draw the subject in only gemetric shapes. Note that I'm still not a great artist and I too, lack fansy art programs.

Personally, I don't like the anatomy lacking legs or blocky heads, but you have the potential to be a good artist. Keep up the practice! I'd love to see you improve!

Fancy art programs don't make the artist! The tools don't do the work, your hands do! Your tools are not to blame if you are not satisfied with your finished product. Please keep that in mind.

I'd say if you find copying/tracing helps you in the early stages, then go for it. xP  It's your business deciding what helps you and what doesn't.  You're not hurting yourself by taking things more slowly, and sooner or later even the most hesitant artist will gain the confidence he/she needs to move into his/her own style. =)

But in your case, I'd say you definitely have potential. :3  Those drawings are all adorable, and you seem to have pretty good control of your pencil.  Good enough, in fact, that I would love to see you try something a bit more complicated than simplified chibi critters.  Something with joints and bones and contours.  You could totally do it; you've got the skills. =D

Tamia; Thanks so much. I will do that, and when I do. I will put it here. I appreciate your input.

-Thanks,
