Umm how does this sound?:
The King of beasts has fallen ill and none know what to do. The illness is a mystery but one day a mysterious stranger comes into the kingdom and tells the queen of rare beings who hold powers greater then even they know. The queen who is slightly weary of the stranger asks why they have brought up these rare beings only to learn that they could cure her husband of his illness. The queen decided to send out her guards to find such beings (Beast and non) so that her husband may be cured .

Yeah you can join we haven't even started the roleplay yet we're just doing the plot and filling out our bios right now.

Okay so basically you may be what you want.
Like for example you could be a hell hound or a vampire if you wished because they both fit into two categorizes that were in the plot which are beast and non(Which means humanoid creatures like the vampire. Elementals are also counted into this group.). You can also be a guard which can be either a beast or a humanoid depending on what you wish your character to be.
Also you don't need to have a rare being if you do not wish to have one. Rare beings have powers that otherwise would not be present or powers that (....Just a second I've lost my train of thought.......) or powers that are quite the rarity.
Although I'm not quite sure how we should make it so that the guards know who these rare beings are maybe a mark or something?
Sorry that fails but that's what I get when I type in the morning.
