Hundreds of years ago, the Pokémon world was split into two factions. One was fighting for liberation from trainers, the other for their beloved partners. Small skirmishes and larger clashes alike always drew blood and resulted in casualties. After some time, Yveltal and Xerneas intervened and chose ten Pokémon who displayed great justice and nobility to lead and guide the masses. Pokémon were allowed to choose whether they wanted to be trained by a human - many of those who were on the side against it eventually found trainers of their own, the ones they deemed worthy. The guardians and their ancestors ruled for many years with a clear mindset and a quiet modesty. They never took on trainers themselves, however.
Now, in the present day, an eleventh Pokémon has suddenly appeared. Instead of being benevolent, rumors state he is a volatile, terrifying being. Called simply The Beast by the public, he is said to reside in the deepest part of Mt. Penumbra. Only the bravest and strongest dare to even set foot inside.
The last generation of guardians are gone, though their eggs remain. Newly hatched, the young Pokémon have a long road ahead of them - learning the ways of the guardians before while helping out those in need along the way. The journey will be tough, maybe even tedious, but the end result promises to be worth it.
tl;dr Mega Evolution Pokémon are guardians - Mewtwo's a crazed monster due to being unable to control his evolution. You play one of the Pokemon, all first come first serve.
Rules: • All general RP rules apply (no godmod/powerplay, pg-13, etc). • One MegaEvolution per person - a non Legendary regular is allowed on the side if you wish. • Seriously if someone wants to be Mewtwo later lemme know - I'd like an app sent in if you want to be him though; he has a very specific personality I'd like to stick to. • Shao is co-owner, so all apps for Mewtwo can be sent along to her as well, among other things. • I'll add more as I think of them.

whispers I am so sorry  Species-#225, better known as Torchic. Nickname- He is called Charcoal by most, although it is occasionally shortened to just Coal. Gender- Coal is a male. Level- Level five, since that's what everyone else seems to be. Moveset- -Scratch -Growl Personality- Rash 1. Characterized by or resulting from ill-considered haste or boldness This single word can sum up Coal fairly well. He often makes reckless, poor decisions in an attempt to appear brave. He's really not all that intelligent, and will often get into fights that he knows he cannot win.
Looks- He looks just like any other Torchic; he's really nothing special looking at all. The one thing that might make him stand out among others is an over-sized, thick dark brown anklet that has been tied around his left foot with a little flame-shaped marking engraved in the surface. History- He got the bracelet from his mother as soon as he hatched, and when he first got it, it was so big it could hardly stay on his foot without falling off. Even now it is still rather large on him. Other than that, his history is entirely normal and nothing out of the ordinary.

Nickname: Shade Gender: Female
Level: 10 because everybody else seems to be 5, but absol doesn't evolve, so it doesn't matter.
Moveset: Quick Attack, Lear, Scratch, Shadow Ball
Personality: Shade, unlike most absols, is not super shy. She tends to be very comfortable around other pokemon and isn't very dark or creepy. This being said, she does have a tendency to melt into the shadows and be a thief by the name of Absol the Quick. The humans don't really know her name, but when they found absol footprints, they knew it had to be an absol. So far, nobody had managed to catch her and the rest of her species was always too wrapped up in prophecies and being harbingers of doom to care about her. When around other pokemon, she becomes some sort of leader, though she doesn't have a very loud voice when she is calm, so many pokemon overlook her for a stronger pokemon that can evolve.
Looks:
The only thing that sets her apart from other absols, besides the long red ribbons tied to her horn and tail, is the fact that her eyes are not red. They are purple.
History: Was orphaned at a young age when both her parents were captured by trainers. She never liked humans, but after seeing what the trainers made them do, she vowed to get them back. This is why she steals from humans.
Other: She likes other female pokemon.

Species: Gibble Nickname: Konrad, or, Nickname of a Nickname, Konnie.
Gender: (fe)MALE

Moveset: Tackle
Personality: Naughty, in all meanings of the word.
Konrad is a self-confident jerk pokemon who is used to attention (undoubtedly due to his charisma and disarming grin,) and knows how to appeal to almost any pokemon (females, especially. He's a bit of a charmer, I guess you could say). Konrad is very outgoing, and loves nothing better than meeting new dragons and having fun. Being naturally very artistic and creative, there's never a boring second with Konrad, though he likes to take the lead, and is sometimes demanding. Due to his ever-changing nature, it's expected that he hates routine tasks and doing the same thing repetitively. He always tries, however (if his silver tongue couldn't talk him out of it), to change something in the steps to do things-which can often lead to mishaps (of which will not be described) and a rather embarrassing scene. Though quite troublesome, he still has a good head on his shoulders, even if it is rather childish, and sometimes prone to insensitivity and being insensitive.
'Living Life to the Fullest' is his motto, and he stays true to it in every breath he takes.

Looks:
He's shiny. Who could have guessed?
A striped blue bandana is tied onto his forearm, and he never, ever takes it off under any circumstances. If you felt it, you can sort of feel a slight lump of something hard under it. He has a a double tooth on the top right of his jaw, which can only be seen if he grins.
History:
He basically messed around for most of his (newly hatched) life, but most he mainly devoted himself to training (in order to learn another move other than Tackle) and being slightly vain.
Other He's quite sensitive about how he only knows Tackle, and he uses it to the ends of the Earth. It may be part of his personality, though.

Shy is true to his name. He's nervous around other Pokemon and humans, and isn't one to jump into social situations. He's also not really the brave type and prefers to hide away in his caves where he feels well protected and anyone who threatens him can't see his second mouth until too late. He's not above underhanded tricks, but he'd rather avoid confrontation all together.
Looks:  History: Shy was orphaned as an egg. He never knew his parents, and his name was given to him through a misunderstanding with a friendly passing Pokemon when he was very young.
Other: He likes sweet food and is omnivorous.

Auburn yawned, already wishing the day would end. She had gotten up at the crack of dawn and, after wolfing down a quick breakfast of Oran berries and apples, had quickly gone into the Square. Amid the bustle reminiscent of the market days in the human world she glanced around for any sign of her friends. Though they had agreed to meet at ten AM and she was nearly half an hour early, she was still paranoid that she had missed them somehow.
Then, a thought struck her - they had not agreed on where to meet, only when. With this in the forefront of her mind, Auburn gave a tiny shriek and ran even faster, dodging stalls and consumers. At one point her tail nearly caused a small lean-to to catch fire - luckily it had rained just the day before.
Eventually, Auburn gave a sigh and sat down next to one merchant's shop, careful to keep her flame well away from the wood. If those losers wanted to meet up, they'd have to come find her. |

Sona sighed as she used her tail to slowly propel her through the water. She did enjoy her early morning swims; however, this morning she could not seem to relax. She kept feeling like there was something else she was supposed to be doing.
Suddenly she remembered her plans for the day. She was supposed to go meet up with everyone in the square today. Sona quickly made her way back to shore and headed on her way to the square hoping she won't be the last one to show up.
