As for gender type, I'm not picky! For the arranged marriage part, I'm guessing maybe olden days: carriages, kingdoms setting up marriages to resolve peace between the two, etc. What do you think of that? ]]

There's always that group of people that showed up right before a wedding ceremony is about to start. But, ironically, seeing that group of people at the wedding, slightly calmed my nerves; sinceit brought an amused smirk to my lips. I loosened my tie slightly, wanting to believe that this was the only cause of me feeling as though I was suffocating.
"You have to look sharp, Prince."
I heard my fathers voice from the front audience. That curt sounding statement was enough to tell me that I needed my tie in proper place before I met my bride - to - be. Princess Wilson. I heard the organ a couple yards away, signalling that the ceremony was beginning. How I loathed all of this. The flowers, bridesmaids, vows... The pair of eyes at every corner, watching for any look of disgust that they could tell to my father. So I could hear another lecture about why I was doing this in the first place. When you're a Prince, every ex
pression is accounted for. Every word is remembered. I was too marry a Princess from another town, in order for the two kingdoms trade, and both become more wealthy in the midst. It was beneficial to everyone in the two kingdoms... But the Prince and Princess about to get married right now. I haven't met Princess Wilson, or even seen how she looked. All I know is that she is the daughter to a king to a kingdom beside us. (What will your's be named? |D I'll just name mine by the last name. Like The Kingdom Of Cain or something. ) And, as any man would, I wondered what my new wife will be like. Appearance and all. A little girl, my 8 - year - old sister to be exact, walked down the isle first. I could hear the ooh's and aah's from the crowd, and seeing my beautiful little sister with strawberry curly locks and bright green eyes also calmed my nerves a bit. But, as my little sister, Althia, came to where she was supposed to stand, my palms became wet with sweat. My green eyes, I was practically the black - haired, male version of Althia, became wide as I tried looking at all the audience with excitement. So my father couldn't know how much I will always loathe this day. My hands stayed crossed, behind my back, as I awaited my new brides grand entrance. Ooc:

As mother walked through the door, I tried to stifle my sobs. She would not allow me to embarrass her on the day of my wedding. I felt her cold stare on my neck as one of my maids wiped the tears from my face. I bared a smile and turned around to face her, though her ex
pression never changed as I did so.
"Your veil is missing," She said softly. The softest I've ever heard her speak in a long time. My mother pulled my long veil off of the chair and placed the jeweled comb into my long blonde hair. It matched the rest of the dress: Long, lacey, jeweled and very, very over-done.
"You must go," I stated blandly, my face near emotionless. "The music has started." Then it hit me. The music has started... And my life was about to be turned around. Arranged marriages should be criminal in my mind. Forcing two people to become married just for some spare money, it was ridiculous.
I watched as the Bridesmaids left me one by one, their light blue dresses flowing behind them. Each who passed me either gave me a smile or a wistful glance. Apparently, they meant this for encouragement, but I felt nothing but dread. The last girl left, meaning it was my cue.
I stood at the doorway, shocked at how many people had shown up. I grasped my father's arm as I walked down the aisle, each step felt heavier than the last. I saw him for the first time, Prince Cain. He looks so formal and, well, rather handsome. At least I can say that.
I nodded to my Father as he let go of my arm. This is it, I thought as I walked towards Prince Cain and the priest, the beginning of the end...

Bic: My heart only sped faster as I awaited to see my bride. I tried to keep my head held high, my shoulders confidently back, though inside, I was still feeling dread. It was normal for Princes and Princesses to have an arraigned marriage. It was more then normal, actually, that any Prince has been arraigned to a woman and vice - versa.
And I bet every Prince faced this with a dreadful heart. My father married my mother through an arraignment. But, if you saw them together, you wouldn't have guessed. My mother's wrinkled eyes are still full of love for my more curt father. And when only his children were around, he let's his eyes shine when looking back at my mother.
That was why my parents weren't pitying me for this arrangement. They felt it would turn out the same. My mother spoke to me before the wedding, telling me that the first year is probably the worst. You have to get to know your wife or husband. "But, " she said, "... something happens that brings you closer. Whether it is one of the spouses becoming deathly ill, or losing a loved one. Something strange occurs between the two spouses, and they become inseparable. "
As I finally saw my bride walk down with a beautiful long white dress, my heart stopped. The rumors about the beauty of Princess Wilson were not rumors to me no longer. I sighed, feeling the weight of the ceremony only coming down even more. She was beautiful, but I had no true love for her. Though my parents ended up happily in love, was it possible that we could too?
