Salsa lay in the grass in the dog park next to her owner, who was busy texting on their phone on the bench. Salsa sighed. Life as a runway dog was actually lifeless. No playing with other dogs. No catching frisbees. No actual freinds. Just being an accessory. Salsa sighed. A dauchsund loped by. She stood up, hoping for a response, barked. "Hello!" The dog ignored her. Typical low breed. She looked up at a few other dogs, wagging her tail playfully and barking. Her owner yanked her leash, choking Salsa.

(I decided I would say what they look like through-out the rp.)
Dark layed on the normal pile of boulders he always layed on in the middle of the dog park. His black fur shone in the sun and his brownish black eyes looked around the dog-filled park.
Shadow looked inside the dog park with her silvery eyes as her black fur shone slightly. She barked at a passing poodle who's eyes were closed as it walked and made it jump. She laughed slitghly at it as it noticed her and growled.

(yerp) Salsa sat down for a minute, thinking of something to pass time. She then thought of a devious idea. She walked closer to her owner's foot, lifting her leg and... "Ah! Bad girl! Oh no, these shoes cost five hundred bucks! Bad girl!" Her owner was waving her arms enough that Salsa could yank her leash out of her hands and run in circles around the park as much as she could. She missed the glory days as a puppy. But this made tears burn her eyes when she thought of her dead puppies. She stopped and shook her head, then continued running, her pink rhinestone leash trailing behind her. She didn't care about the big dogs laughing at her fluffy pink coat. All she said was "Oh shut up you yappers! Just because I have long fur don't mean my culata doesn't get cold!" (culata means butt in spanish :3) Her poor owner was trotting around trying to chase her in high heels, oh dear. Bad choice.

Dark got up at the sight of the small dogs owner,"You idiot! Don't run in high heels!",he half laughed out and half barked out at the human. All the noise Dark made got his owners attension and called him over. Dark looked at his owner and walked over to him,slowly.
Shadow watched the dogs slightly laughing at the stupid owner running after her dog in high heels.

(shrug shrug ^_^) Salsa laughed. "Let this be a lesson for you!" She was watching her owner scramble, yelling "Ah! Get back here you stupid mutt!" Salsa ran back and made her owner trip over her leash. "See ya chiquita!" She gained speed and bumped straight into a tree. "Ow... Dang it." Salsa sneezed and looked back at her owner. She tucked her tail between her leg and backed straight into Dark's owner. She was almost as surprised, yelping and running away. She found herself infront of her owner, who had somehow gotten dripping wet and lost one shoe. "You... Are going to pay. No more doggy pedicures after Shows..." Salsa was happy to hear that, but leaped out of her owner's arms and ran around, not ready to finish all the fun. |

Dark looked at his owner and then at the small dogs owner and back at his,"Sorry. But I'm going.",he barked at his owner then ran straight at the smalls ones owner and barked at her.
Shadow laughed as she saw all the trouble there was in there.

Salsa ran between her owner (Lidia) and Dark. "Shove off, flea bag." Salsa was trying to look as big as she could, her fur a good plus. "This is my Mama. Unless you want that trunk of a snout bloody, I suggest you go back to where you came from, or Salsa is going to burn your face." Salsa was growling and snarling, Lidia standing there trying to fix her hair and makeup.

Dark laughed at the small dog and then reliezed the stray at the gate and trotted off back to his owner and blocked his attension from noticing the stray. Dark barked happily as his owner's (Zak) attension was locked onto him and he bent down to pet him,"What were you doing boy?",he asked Dark in a whisper.

Salsa let out a growl and half a bark, then turned around panting. She hopped into Lydia's arms, licking her fingers. It felt good to get loved for once, especially by her owner. Lydia was still a bit mad, but didn't care that much. She was just happy she had a 1st place chihuahua.

(they might at some point. Just wait to see what Salsa has planned...) Lydia took Salsa back to their house, not far from the park. Lydia left Salsa home while she left for the dry cleaners. Salsa laughed a bit when she left. She pried the doggy door open and made a run for the park. She sat down by a bench, itching her neck wth her back paw. Lydia never bothered to put the license on Salsa's collar, because she thought Salsa would never leave. Salsa was now technically a stray until she decided to go back.

Dark was laying back on the boulder he claimed as his and his owner was talking to some other dog show dog owners by the time Salsa came back to the park.
Shadow decided she would sneek into the park and hide in a bush.

Salsa saw shadow hiding in a bush nearby, and crept over. "Hello, why are you hiding? Wheres your owner?" Her tail was wagging slightly outside the bush, and she looked back at Dark to make sure she wasn't being watched.

Salsa shook her head. "Of course... Well, try not to be seen by that dog on the rocks. They aren't... How should I put it... Smart as other dogs. I suggest you lay low and pretend to be a pet... Maybe my Lydia can adopt you. Or atleast you can walk behind her and pretend to be a pet for your own sake. Just... Try not to be seen, will you? The other showdogs don't like strays." Salsa scooted out and trotted around the park, as an example for Shadow.

Shadow shook her head,"I don't care. I'm used to it.",she said as she trotted out of her hideing place in the bush,"And that dog looks smart enough.",she said as she looked at him quickly then back at Salsa,"What is your name anyways?",she asked as she accedently stepped backward onto the boulders.
Dark looked up from the boulder he claimed and down to the boulder the mix breed had stepped onto,"Oh well.",he said as he reclosed his eyes.
