Tadaa...  :P  It's the thread.  I'll be posting more when I can, hopefully tonight~

Plot
The land of Satria (SAY-tree-uh) is broken in half.  The monarchy, a benevolent family that has ruled for thousands of years, but now they are struggling to cling to the throne as war breaks out.
The people are in a state of unrest, convinced by a plotting, aristocratic family that the current family has never cared about their beloved home.  These lies are nothing more--but from their words sprang bitter thoughts and doubt.  Despite many tries on the royal family's part, a rebellion has begun.
In the midst of these fights and seiges, two unlikely people meet.  One is a lowly villager, once intent to carry on their normal lives before they became empowered to "save their country."  The other, even more unlikely, was the royal heir, visiting to evaluate the battle fields.
Their meeting has the power to destroy Satria, or save it.
Setting
The land of Satria.
It is dense and wooded to the north, and to the west lies a sprawling sea.  The south is home to humid farmlands and scattered jungles where the peasants haven't yet cut it down, and to the east lies so many cities, you can hardly tell that it was built upon grasslands.
The royal city is a sparkling jewel among the dirtier cities to the east, though, sitting nearly halfway up an enormous mountain range.  It lies over a vast river, chanelled into a beautiful waterfall that pours from its marble base.  Within, the homes are rich and everything is expensive.  All of the outer walls are made of metal, and so is the huge castle's exterior.  It is a city for the rich and famous, or perhaps for the stray philosopher or two.
The society is still midieval, so women still wear dresses if they're proper, and democracy is all but unheard of.  The royal family line is passed through generation to generation, and they are advised by a council and a whole castle full of attendants.

This could use a bump.  :3
I specifically left genders out of the plot, so your character(s) can be either.  I think I'm going to stick with one, though~

Name: Lord Alexander William Weston III
Aliases/Nicknames: |Aliases| Lord Alexander. Or more commonly known as: "that pain in the arse over there". |Nicknames|Alex or Weston.
Gender: Male
Age: Seventeen
Personality: Alex isn't a very social person, which kind of makes it harder for people to trust in him. He is a smart person. He enjoys making other people laugh but monstly likes to stick to himself. He's often quiet and doesn't voice his opinion - this makes some people think he's antisocial, when all he really is is reserved. He's level-headed and can easily stay calm in the midst of chaos and is able to form rational thoughts even in the worse of situations. He can be a bit pessimistic at times, and tends to think that fantasy is only for little kids. Because of his sincere honesty, he is also very reliable and loyal to a friend.
Rank: Part of the royal family, but not the heir. His uncle could be the king, maybe?
Appearance: Alex likes to flaunt his looks, though doesn't really care about what he looks like anyway. to prove this point, he always has his dark hair in a mess, framing his face, and dark curls that reach the back of his skull. He has pale blue eyes, though they always seem to be glaring holes into random people.
2zqy16q.jpg (350×495)
[But with paler eyes and no... gun.  Usually.]
Other: Alexander is the second in line for the throne. The king strongly dislikes him, and often sends him out to do his dirty work, often things that lesser nobles would do for him. Alexander has a strong desire to be king, and he views the King and the heir as competition. But all the same, he's too lazy to do anything about his ambition. Alexander was tought by a philosopher, so he's quite smart, and then my the castle teacher. He was also tought in chivalry, by the king's personal knight. Alexander has a secret adoration for horses, especially Rin, his favored black mare. And the blacksmith's forge. x3

Name: Ceirse Quinn
Aliases/Nicknames: Predator | Cee
Gender: Female
Age: Fifteen
Personality: Ceirse doesn't talk a lot, but when she does, you can tell that she's got wisdom to back up her statements. Ceirse is wise beyond her age, knowing more of the world than the average person. She's quite antisocial, and hardly anyone has ever heard her say a word or even talk to them. She's a bit too serious sometimes, but she finds a joy in the hunt that takes away her serious nature and makes her as immature as a child. When she really opens up to someone, she really does - showing her true colors as talkative, independent, and confident. She's got an extremely caring and loyal side as well. Will anyone be able to find that soft spot of hers though?
Rank: Village Huntress
Appearance: Ceirse is a short girl, usually only reaching up to peoples' chins or shoulders. She has dark brown hair that she leaves in a long braid over her shoulder. Deep brown eyes are almost covered by bangs, as are the numerous scars that cover her back. She's extremely light weight, which makes it easier for her to move around undatected. She has a bright smile, which people hardly ever see. You can usually find her somewhere in the forest, wearing part of what appears to be a nice and fancy dress, the sleeves torn off and everything from the knees down cut off raggedly with a knife. She's always barefoot, a dagger stabbed into the hem of her dress and a bow with a pouch of arrows on her back.
Other: Ceirse is a huntress from the village. She's one of the best, and her skills are a bit far from normal. She's trained herself to walk with wild animals, and she's developed a high stamina and speed and agility that gives her a certain grace. She's one of the best huntresses around the country, and she often brings her prey to the castle or market to sell.

No worries.  ^^  I just like to check.

Bic/
Name:
Camryn Walsh
Aliases/Nicknames:
Her alias is Iron.  Nickname is Cammie, and though her entire village calls her that, she hates it when people she doesn't know her use it.
Gender:
Female
Age:
16 (Turning seventeen in a month and a half)
Personality:
Strong-willed and determined to make a name for herself.  She is clever, but also unsure of herself and her abilities.  She is determined to prove that she has a worth other than cooking and sewing, and one might find that Cammie has quite the tongue on her.  Her temper lights easily, but it's not always easy to tell.
Rank:
Villager--she is the blacksmith's apprentice, which is a position many scorn for a woman, and she has surprised many by obtaining it.
Appearance:
Short blond hair cut to the length of a young man's, though it perhaps needs a trimming.  It curls slightly, hinting perhaps at waviness if it were to grow longer.  Her eyes are green with the barest streaks of brown and amber in them, and she has freckles fading from childhood along the bridge of her nose and along her cheeks.  Her skin is tanned, and her hands cracked with dryness from the forge.
[I don't have a picture~]
Other:
Nope.

The steam from the forge billowed angrily in Cammie's face.  She closed her eyes again the ash for a moment, guiding the bellows by instinct for a moment until the hot breeze was gone.  Then she carefully guided the stick of hot iron out of the fire, and twisted it into shape.  It bent like rubber, molding at her fingertips like a dog desperate to please.
She smiled as she placed the finished product--and artful hook--on a flat table to finish cooling.  Its siblings were lined up along it, the order nearly completed.  She was happy with how they were turning out so far, a set of elegant coat hooks for her neighbor, Mrs. Bentley.  The old lady was one of the few who approved of her apprenticeship, and Cammie suspected her orders had more to do with that than her "fine quality of worksmanship."
Sighing, she rubbed down her face with a wet, almost clean rag, and headed outside.  The blacksmith was just down the street from her house, and it was nearly time for her lunch break.
Stephen, her mentor, surprised her as she started for the exit to the yard.  "Cammie!  Wait up there!"
She stopped, and then turned of her heel.  Stephen approached, his old face leathery and dry from years in the forge.  His voice was as rough as always as he said, "Why don't you go home for the rest of the day?  You've been working pretty hard."
Cammie narrowed her eyes at him.  "Why?  I need to get that order done."
He laughed.  "I can still do something, believe it or not, child.  Go home.  Get some rest.  And that's an order."
Cammie couldn't help but smile.  "Okay, but you know that you can come get me if you need more help."
He nodded.  "Get goin', now!"
Cammie nodded, and set off down the street.

Alexander pulled the heavy silk covers over his head as the blinds guarding his wide arched window were pulled open roughly. As light flooded the room, Alexander had to groan - he was defenitely not a morning person. "Wake up, Master Alexander," came the voice of his head maid, from the door. "It is time for lunch." With these words, Alexander shot up, a hand covering his eyes. He roughly kicked the tangled silk blankets from his body and grumpily leaned against the headboard of his enormous, king-sized bed. "Is it already noon?" he queried, his eyes half closed. He heard the main grumble about something, and he shot to face her. "Excuse me, Master." she apologized, as a glare was turned on to her. "You're excuse. Now get out." Alexander nearly snarled, jumping off his bed and marching to his closet.

Yep, defenitely not a morning person.

Half an hour or so later, Alexander was trudging shamelessly throught he castle to meet his uncle. The King. He knew that such a person with his ti
tle would come first, an Alexander hated that. He had always wanted to be on top, to be the King. But his cousin, the heir, would always be before him as well. Gumbling to himself, Alexander pulled a hand through his messy black hair, trying not to let any fall into his eyes. His mother, Lady Annamarie Weston, was always yelling at him, saying he looked like more of a commoner than a person from the Royal Family. Whatever. He didn't really care.

Upon bursting into the throneroom, Alexanders piercing blue eyes landed on the King, in his golden throne. Arching his back into a bow, Alexander tried not to bare his teeth. "Your royal highness," came from between his clenched teeth. He leant out of his bow, crossing his arms. "What is it that you wanted?" he asked, trying not to let his sarcasm flow in through his tightly  wound barrier of formality. The King glared at him, obviously sensing the disrespect in his nephew's tone.

"Today, I'd like you to go down to the village. The Huntress is there and she requests one of the royal fmaily to go visit her to bring her her money for this week's meat." Alexander tilted his head to the side. "That it?" he asked, a sneer starting to form on his usually composed face. Giving a false smile at him, the king shook his head. "Go to the blacksmith's and ask for the swords we ordered. As him to send them to the castle immediatly. The corronation cerimony for the new knights are to be held tonight, and they need their swords." Alexander nodded, already knowing what was to come next.

"Alexander, sweetheart, have you found the woman you are going to bring to the event?" The Queen asked, her melodic voice turned towards her favorite nephew. "You know how important it is, Alex-" she was interrupted by the sight of the retreating back of Alexander. He gave them a half-wave over his shoulder. "I'll find one today, Aunt. I shall see you both at the corronation. Good day, your highnesses." And with that, the heavy door slammed behind him.

--
A good hour later, Alexander was heading down to the village, a sword strapped to his side and a golden crown on top of his dark hair. He was on horseback, a black mare galloping at a steady speed beneath him. Alexander had always loved horses, and this mare, Rin, had always been his favorite. They continued through the golden gates of the castle, gaining speed as they reached the village. Chuckling to himself, Alexander pulled the crown of his messy head of hair, and jammed it into his bag. He knew it would only frighten the villagers more if the saw a crown. He had been informed of the unrest taking place in the country, and he knew that he wuld rather feel safe than proud. Well, usually.

Don't worry about the length.  ;D  For me, at least, content matters more than length, but I'll ready anything~

Bic/
Cammie stopped about halfway to her small house at the sound of thundering hooves.  She stopped sharply and turned around to see a black horse thundering into the village.  It was obviously finely bred, nothing like a few shabby ponies of the village could produce.  Nothing like ponies from any village could produce.  Her breath caught in her throat as she realized that this must be a nobleman's horse--at the very least.
Camme suddenly felt very exposed in her dirty work clothes and mussed hair.  She had hoped to bathe that afternoon, but with the horse speeding along, she wasn't sure whether or not she would be accosted.  Since talk of the rebellion had begun, many of the king's pets--minor lords and ladies who watched over dense lands in the middle of nowhere--had taken to questioning and even beating commoners.
Close to fear suddenly, Camryn's legs took a head start on her brain and she ran back to the blacksmith's.  At least a worker on duty couldn't be called off for questioning.  Even with the threat of war, work still needed to be done.
Cammie was intensely grateful for her mentor as she arrived back in the forge's yard.  Stephen only raised a slight, charred eyebrow as she began working on a small figurine.

Alexander tried to ignore the fearful glances being thrown at him from all the village people. He couldn't really blame them. Especialy now, with so many riots exploding out against the crown, and the Royal Family towards the commoners. Alexander had seen his fair share of riots, even participating in the questioning of different village people. Not once had he ever laid a finger on an innocent person, however, so he didn't count himself as one of the filthy nobleman who would constantly beat up and interrogate the common people to the point that they were too terrified to speak. But Alexander didn't really care about that stuff. Being taught by a philosopher had made him learn that violence wasn't always the answer, so he, personally, didn't really care much for the violence going around. At least as long as it wasn't turned on him.

Upon reaching the blacksmith's forge, Alexander unmounted his beautiful mare, patting her on the side of her face, stroking the horse's velvety black fur. "Stay here, Rin." he said softly, tieing the reigns to his most precious posession to a small fence-like structure. The horse neighed as Alexander started to walk towards the forge, the heel's of his leather boots digging into the ground. Alexander had always loved the blacksmith's forge, he had always loved watching the sparks explode from the metals as it was hammered away at. Alexander smiled, trying hard not to just forgot of his task and just sit on the dirt floor and watch as they worked. But he had a job to do, and he'd rather get it done than forfeit his ti
tle to the King and his brat. (Alexander doesn't like the first-in-line to the throne. :/)

Looking around, he was surprised to find a girl working in the forge. Well, this is suprising. He tilted his head to the side, his black locks finally clearing from his piercing blue eyes. Shaking his head, he started to trudge towards her. Stopping in front of her, he asked, "May I speak with your boss?" Surely she would lead him to her boss, wouldn't she? Alexander was feeling a bit queasy, feeling out of his element. He was much more used to the safe and elegant life of living as the second in line to the throne than to being outside of the castle's metal walls.

[Alexander isn't going to be the heir, just the second-in-line to the throne. x3 I'll play Cee later.]

That's fine.  ^^  Can Cee and Cammie be acquaintances?  o3o

Bic/
Cammie looked up abruptly from the small tree she was working on.  The twisting branches would have to wait, she realized, as her mind swiftly pieced together the man's horse, his clothing, and his ex
pression.  Well, he wasn't quite a man--a boy, really.  He couldn't be much older than her.  But Cammie kept this to herself as she dipped in a quick bow.  A curtsy seemed much to dainty, and she didn't miss the bemused ex
pression on his face.  A woman in a forge.  How strange.
"Right away, milord," she murmured, and cast her gaze down respectfully, though her insides screamed to not do so.  He was on her land, and his friends may have been responsible for the beatings of other commoners.  But Cammie didn't know his importance, and didn't particularly relish the idea of a beating.
Her feet picked up at this thought and carried her swiftly to the back of the forge, where old words and orders waiting to be picked up hung on the wall or were laid in neat rows along shelves and tables.  Stephen's "office"--more like a dark den filled with mile-high stacks of paper--was at the back, in a small corner room that was added on many years ago.  She tapped on the door lightly.
"Ste--I mean, Master, you have a visitor?" She bit her lip, wondering if the lord had noticed her slip.  Stephen insisted that she had no need for formality, but in recent days there had been whipping for indecency.
Stephen gave an unintelligible grunt and emerged from the office.  "Yes?"

Alexander watched as the girl walked away, a scowl on his face as he stared down at his leather boots. He absently kicked at the ground, uncomfortable. He had never liked it when other people, at least in ordinary, public areas called him so formally. At social gatherings and in the castle amongst other noblemen and women, he didn't mind. But in public, he had always wanted to be treated like a normal boy. But that was impossiblem seeing as his ti
tle was probably worth more gold than anyone other nobles had. Second in line. Pfft. I deserve to be king, not like thaat brat of an heir. He thought to himself, a growl growing in the back of his throat. He watched in amusement as one of the blacksmith's recoiled, obviously thinking he was going to get maimed by the sword on Alexander's waist or something. Alexander sighed, waiting for the girl to come back. He was slightly dissapointed when only her boss came, a burly man with muscles large enough to probably toss him out the window.

"Milord." The man grunted, his head bowed the slightest bit.

Alexander recoiled, a grimace replacing the false smile that he had held so carefully on his face before. He clenched his pearly white teeth together. "Alexander." He replied. "I don't like titles." He added, trying to soften his glare. "Anyway, I'm here to ask if the swords are ready yet." He queried, wringing his fingers nervously. "The King has demanded they be ready for the Knighting event tonight, and if they aren't..." he let the threat weigh in the air.

The man nodded, a spark of fear in his eyes, but his face didn't betray anything. "Have them delived to the castle before the evening ends. And do you, perhaps, know of anyone who knows where the huntress Ceirse Quinn lives?" He added a second later.

"Camryn," Stephen said in a quiet tone, "Please get the swords."
Cammie nodded, watching this "Alexander" with what she hoped was disguised interest.  This couldn't be the king's nephew, could it?  She shook her head slightly, pushing the thought away.  It didn't matter what his official ti
tle was--if she didn't get him the swords, he could probably have both of them beheaded.
As she headed towards the back, she heard Stephen intone that the huntress's house was down at the end of this street, at the edge of a cul-de-sac on the forest.  The rest of the conversation dropped away as she went to the back and found the swords.  There were several, but each of them finely crafted and lovingly made in each their own way.  Cammie fingered one of the elegant handle for a moment, wondering how she could have created something so fine out of the pale gold swirls of the hilt.  Stephen had made the blades himself, teaching Cammie how to balance a blade, but wanting to make these personally, since their quality would affect the King's opinion of their establishment.  But he had left the handles to the more whimsical and creative mind of his apprentice, and Cammie was pleased with her work.
She bundle up the swords in a stretch of fine silk wrapping bought specifically for the occasion.  Though each of the sharp blades was in its own leather sheath, Stephen had insisted on the silly principle of "presentation."  The pale white of the silk was the only thing pristine around the black-smudged forge, and she distantly wondered if the lord minded it.
"Here you are, milord," she said, again not daring to make eye contact as she spread her arms out with their precious cargo.  "Ten swords, of the finest craftmanship.  We hope it pleases the King."

Ooc/
Sorry, fail.  xD  I can change the number of swords, and Ceirse's location, by all means.  I thought she might like to be on the edge of the forest, since she spends so much time there already.  :3
