How would you like to win one of these?
"I'd love that, Euch!" I hear you cry. "But how?"
Well fret not, lads, it's all very easy, and best of all... It won't cost you a single cent. ... Just your two cents. *ba dum tsh* All I'm looking for is some help with figuring out names to tag RWN onto! :D
So, if you're interested, step on up and listen up!
How This Works:
- - Fill out the form below suggesting what type of creatu/colour/effect you'd think would work best for the name and why!
- - Please try to just suggest ONE creatu per name- you can suggest more, however this still still only count as ONE entry
- - You don't have to suggest creatu for ALL the names, but
- - Each name/creatu combination you suggest = 1 entry in the raffle! (Except for Lorem/Ipsum- suggesting a pair will still only net you one point)
- - ADDITIONALLY, for ONE extra entry, just give me a fun random res-related opinion/thought!
- - At the end of the period, I'll use RNG to select two random winners!
Bonus points (not really)- if you also include the creatu image or link it for easy reference :) - You can do this by right-clicking the image and copying the image link - Then click the icon on the forum toolbar next to the indenting (hover text is "Add Image") and past the image link
The exception is Lorem and Ipsum, who I'd love to get a matching/contrasting pair of creatu for. - As an example, I've been tossing up between getting them as an achromatic and black ebilia, or as a rose and black mahina.

Annoyance:  Teenage derp calico paor- they look like they are the type of annoying
pranksters that everyone hates, and the calico one looks particularly
clownish
Tingly:  Adult cosmic snow cyid- they remind me of a tingly breath mint!
  Adult black mahina + adult rose mahina
Their colour schemes are almost inverses of each other! Additionally, they're moths, which makes me think of old dusty things- like old Latin placeholders.
Fun Res opinion!: I think that the sepia training token looks the most edible out of all of them

Tried to avoid using CS/Other pets -- they're so catch-all that I find it more fun to find regular creatu to use as suggestions!
Although:  Although it may be dead and decaying and gross, it's still absolutely fabulous and rockin' the look Annoyance:  Have you ever made a run through Mt. Moon? Your Bulbasaur is in the red, the Zubats are full of Leech Life and you're barely fast enough to run. Childhood's great.
Cello: I love cellos! Their sound makes me think of like, earthy movement, if that makes sense? Large bodies twisting around trees, moving with nature itself. However: They live on Atquati, however they were originally native to Scria! Tesuri are very cool and honestly underrated for cool names imo Natural was used here but any of them would look good, I think! Tingly: Electricity tingles! I think! Pretty sure! When:

  These two make an excellent pair imo -- the black and purple with the lighter yellow/orange eye just fits paired names so well!

Although: The albino Uilus looks scholarly, just like the word.
Annoyance: This is a derp lime ezahni. It has annoying face. Nuff said.
Cello: Tell me ginger galta would not be perfect for this name! If there's any pet that looks like a cello, this is it!
However: Hehe well any derp eleodon truly looks like it's ready to ob
ject to your argument with a "however".
Tingly: Cyids look like they have the tingles. A stardusted trance cyid is just tingly in all the right ways.
When: I'd suggest either opal galta or albino cetari. They both have an ethereal floaty vibe that When encapsulates.
Lorem/Ipsum **: Well, baby wyrae are quite goopy and Latin-looking, so they are perfect for these names. The gold and blackgold are contrasting enough and also kind of fancy, just like fonts.
Fun Res opinion!: After I came back from a three-year hiatus, I was like wow, Res should change its deor from "virtual pet collecting game" to "virtual name collecting game"! I love the name aspect of this site lol. The idea of owning a word with a creature form...it's too good... |

Hey Feather, thanks amazing suggestions :D Especially for Cello, that cyid is just *chef's kiss*, I never thought of that before but it does remind me of one! And great points for However XD
And I'm the same as you- except I think I hadn't been on Res for something close to 6 years? Definitely I never expected name collecting to be such a big thing when I first joined yonks ago XD

Although: When I read this word I think of elegance for some reason?? So cosmic pretty kiokas seems fitting!
Annoyance: I feel like this one doesn't need explanation haha they just look annoyed!
Cello: I for one agree with feathermoth thinking the galta is the perfect fit, but I think gold fits better!
However: Once again agree with feathmoth eleodon would for sure say However; however (ha ha ha) I think he should look more fancy and distinguished in silver&gold or black&gold!
Tingly: The name reminds me of a slithering animal and I can just imagine this dark neon eel tingling things in the deep sea xD I think the teen stage would be best!
When: Feels like the cosmic cyid is moving through space with the trance coloring. Like moving through time.
Lorem/Ipsum **: I think these just flow really nicely together maybe the mira more than the drin!
Fun Res opinion!: All art on res is amazing! :D The community is great! :D It's so fun to try and pair names with creatu!!

Although: I think achros fit well for a contradiction: although it is black, it is also white. It's both these things at once. Personally I think Jahra is the best, because the constant switching between black and white with its spots reminds us that both things are true. Annoyance: Derp kurrabi looks like his neighbors are going to send in a noise complaint because he keeps going nuts on his guitar in the middle of the night. He's an annoyance and a menace to everyone in his building.
Cello: I'm seconding the previous comments on Galta, but I've gotta add my own color for consideration. I think sepia is absolutely perfect: the subtle lines on its back look like both strings and a wood grain pattern at the same time! However: Derp Eleodon as a very pretentious "however" is hilarious, but I also like the idea of a more "however it goes, I'm chill" take on the word. I think adol Wyrae is perfect for this: solid or liquid, they don't mind. Tingly: I'm doubling up on the Wyraes here I know, but trance wyrae feels perfect for this name for me. The posing makes him look like he's embodying the energy of the party itself and tingling from excitement about all the bright lights and sound and people around him. When: With all the swirls and circles in the tail and the surroundings as well as the light wood/metal color, I feel like cosmic Shaefu could totally fit as a living clock entity. He holds the knowledge of when everything that has ever happened took place in his paws just as he holds the magical aura around him in his paws!
Lorem/Ipsum **: Black and Rose Ezhani are fun inversions of each other, and Ezhani itself is thin and willowy in a similar way to a lot of classical writers (and how writers and poets tend to be depicted in media.) Their horn is a pen!

Annoyance:  They just look like an annoyed teenager to me. Lorem/Ipsum: These two make a perfect matching pair and give that old fashioned, elegant charm that I feel fits the paired name. Although: Although part of the physical world, also not. Although real, also a dream. Although of the oceans, also apart from them.... the dual nature lends well to this name.
Ok I struggled with this one... when I thought of the name Cello I immediately thought of the music piece from the carnival of the animals. The cello is represented by a swan... the music is long and slow with the sound of water rippling through... these creatu bring it to mind, since there is no 'swan' creatu. However: Neither dead nor alive, however you feel about the Ebilia, they are amazing creatures. Tingly: Enough to send tingles down many a brave souls spine. When: The undead Omni just make me feel when... when all are gone they will endure, when all hope is lost, when....

Although:
The face that the derpy Mirabilis has is perfect for this one because it looks like it is seriously considering an alternate option and I think it could be used as a funny reaction to considering a silly option. Plus I think the magenta colour adds to the humour of it. So pink!
Annoyance:
I feel like annoyance is a match for a ulvadian cynacu because there is nothing more annoying than having to slog through Kir's quest to get both the egg and the dye.
Cello:
With Cello, I imagine elegance where the creation struts its way across the stage to give a dignified performance, which is why I picked the albino stardust drachid. Plus, I think its legs would be good for playing and the idea of spider silk strings are appealing.
However:
I like the black frostlight Liyure for this name because it feels like it is beckoning you to follow, as if asking you to consider the alternate possibilities to the cold situation you find yourself in. I think its striking glowing eyes add to this effect.
Tingly:
This one might seem a bit obvious, but I think the silver zaphao with the scria blessing gives me the idea of an electric god, and I think the air would be tingly if one of them was on the hunt. I especially like the lightening colour on this on.
When: I think When needs a bit of a spooky vibe of expectation, which is why I like the undead Ivik for it. They way it looks at you demanding your attention in anticipation of something is why I think it suits. Plus, the achro gives it an old-timey black and white feel, which I think adds to the idea of it being frozen in time.
Lorem/Ipsum
I love the idea of the achro and black ebilia I think that would be awesome.
I also like the idea of a pair of intertwining colourful serpents that are ancient guards and speak an unknown language, preserving its meaning even though no one understands anymore. Which is why I picked the azure and amber noctis because they give me ancient godly vibes.
