Lila was in a dark alleyway, her shimmering black hair, hanging loose, no longer in a ponytail, like she had used to wear back one year ago. Her eyes were silver, so eerie if you stared at them. Lila's face was expressonless, but you could tell her fury if you saw her fists clenched tight. She seemed extremely pale. Then I came along, entering the alley, quietly.
When she heard my footsteps, Lila stared at me, her silver eyes brimming with tears. "Daron," she spat at me, like my name was a curse, which she probably thought it was.
"Lila," I said, my voice scarcely above a whisper. I tried to touch her left hand, but she pulled it away from me. My heart throbbed, so sad that I would have to do what I was sent here for.
Lila saw the look in my eyes, which was so hard and cold. She shivered. I could see it in her silver eyes what she was thinking. Lila knew my horrible life, tracking down people and killing them for my employers. She had seen the look every time I had to kill someone I didn't want to kill.
No matter how much she begged me, I had to kill my victim anyways. Besides, it was my only way to earn money, for food and clothes. Lila knew what I'd have to do now, in the darkness of the alley. My next victim was standing in front of me, helpless as can be, as I was. I gripped the knife I had with me in my jacket pocket.
Lila said in a soft voice, "No." I stared at Lila with my blue eyes, and pulled out my knife, swiftly. She tried to run, but I was too quick for her, and the knife dug its point into her back. Lila fell, twitched, and died. Her eyes became blank, sightless.
I knelt down beside the dead body. "I'll get rid of my employer, I promise." I sifted my fingers through, Lila's black hair. I knew very well that this promise could not be kept. After all, I was an as.sas.sin, and I have carried the blood to destroy for many years, since I was eight years old to now.

Wow.  ^^  That's a great little peice!  Is that going to be the intro to a book, or just a random blurb!  I liked how it was short and to the point, yet unrushed and deep.  Great work!

Chapter One

It is now a year after Lila's tragic death, unfortunately all my fault. Every time I got a girlfriend, I ended up killing her, almost a curse for me. Death always had to be delivered by me or someone else, and somehow I always was paid to kill someone I actually really loved, a criminal or an innocent person. My life was a nightmare I'd never wake up from. It's practically a real life horror movie, ever since I turned eight.

On my eighth birthday, I was visited by someone at the orphanage I lived at, who said my parents had worked for their organization, as as.sas.sins. I didn't believe it, so the person gave me a calling card, and then drove away in a fancy limousine. Only one day after my birthday, I accidentally killed someone. My accidental victim was a wannabe bully, who knocked me to the ground. I used the only weapon to defend myself, the card I had been given, and threw it straight at the bully's heart. It surprisingly took his life, and I took the card back and ran away, putting as much distance between the dead boy and me as I could.

When I thought I was safe, I went into a telephone booth, and called the person who had given me the calling card, which was now red with blood. The guy said he'd pick me up. When I asked how he knew where I was, he didn't answer, just repeated that he would pick me up, and I should stay right here. So I just stood in the telephone booth, until I saw the recognizable limousine, that I had last seen on my birthday. I climbed into the back seat.

I was taken to some island, which name was unknown to me. This was told to me to be where some trained to become as.sa.sins. They were telling the truth. As soon as I walked in, I saw people training with guns and swords, using bags filled with sand as targets, for practice. Others were trying to dodge real gunfire. Obviously these people were trying to learn how to dodge gunfire, so they would be quick enough not to be hit by someone with a gun, during an as.sas.sination job, but why they used real gunfire, I'll never know.

I was led to a small room, my room. I was to share this room, with another student. That student was nowhere to be seen. I plunked down on the one bed pinted out to me to be mine, and examined the room. Barely anything was there, except for a few weapons, which weren't much, hanging on the door. The room was really nothing special.

Well, after two long, grueling hours, that's when I met my roommate. He was a boy and eight years old, like me at the time. Unlike me, he had black hair, and his eyes were pale green. My roommate, though the same age, with his height and strength, it was almost as if he was older. He gave me his name, which was Lunari. For my whole time here, he would be sharing this room with me.

(Done!)

Chapter Two
At the island, days were long and hard. We were barely given a break, during training. Every day's end, was the same, with me all sweaty and panting. Lunari was a different story. He barely had a bead of sweat on his forehead.
Each day had the same schedule. First thing in the morning, we practiced dodging bullets. Right after that, we trained with weapons. Then, everyone practiced fighting with their own bare hands. Next, we have a short lunch, and I mean it when I say short. I only get to have an apple or a tiny sandwich, before the break abruptly ends.
Lunari knows more things about this place than I do. He says that this island, was where the boys trained. The girls trained somewhere else, in a supposedly abandoned dance school building. And Lunari is more skillful than me at dodging bullets, and he can even dodge knives. He's surprisingly expert at handling swords.
Lunari is who I would call smart, but bossy. Once, I was laying in my bed, at night, when Lunari strode over to my bed.
'May, you please, give me that blanket? It's cold over there,' he asked, at first, politely.
'No,' I said. He asked me again, and I kept on refusing. Then, Lunari started to become rough on me.
'If you won't give it, I 'll take it,' Lunari said, green eyes, now glaring. He punched me in the jaw, and knocked me out. Then, he took my blanket, and went back to his own bed, on the other side of the room. When I woke up, I ended up being very cold.
After that, I've learned not really to mess with him. Already, I was advancing quickly in my education. By the time I was ten I had become an expert at wielding swords and such. I was one of the star pupils of the training clas.ses. Then I was approached with my first real mis.sion as an as.sas.sin.

This is really great... I almost felt like I was reading a book... When im reading a good book with enough details I play it out in my head and thats what exactly happened here. My only suggestion is even MORE detail because the characters ((what they looked like)) were a bit foggy. You can never have to much detail((okay maybe you can..)) also maybe describe the island? tree covered sand covered gr*censored* covered or the works? haha good so far I want more <3

Chapter Three

I was supposed to kill this guy who was getting on my current employer's nerves, for my first mission. It seemed a bit cruel to ask somebody to kill someone just because they're irritating, but what could I say? The first thing you ever learned was that you must obey your employer, even if you have to kill a person for a stupid reason. If you failed to as.sas.sinate, you most likely would be killed by your own comrades as punishment, and I didn't want that to happen to me on my first job, so I agreed to do it.

So, I was transported off the island by boat and dropped off at a city. I don't know what city, because information like that is really of no importance, especially if you're just coming here to stab or shoot somebody under someone's orders. I stepped off of my boat and entered into the crowd of people, who were rushing off to go to work. Did I forget to mention that it was nine thirty in the morning?

All my weapons were stored in a briefcase. Any favorite weapons of mine were hidden in my shoes or anywhere else besides the briefcase. To any ordinary person, I was just off to work, like everyone else was. Well, actually anybody thinking that were wrong. I was actually pretending to be someone off to work, in order to go to the target's workplace, and be under no suspicion. It would be a quick and easy way to go, just one little strike in the heart with one of my throwing stars, and that man would be a goner.

Just the thought of doing that to some guy, made me smile, with pure glee. I was determined to do everything right, from start to finish. The first thing I did after I stepped out of the boat, was that I checked in at a hotel to stay, for a few nights. I never knew, if it would take longer than two or three hours to catch my target.

When I reached my hotel room, I put down my briefcase, heavy with artillery which made my arms feel so sore. Sweat rolled down my face, dripping from my brown hair, and into my eyes. I sat down on the bed, which was long, with a nice wooden frame. It seemed to be comfortable enough, but not what I would call first-clas.s rate. Tomorrow maybe I would pay a visit to the hotel manager and advise that they get some better bedding, if I was still here then.

After an hour of relaxation, I decided to get down to work and I searched around for anything about this target I had been sent to kill. No one really had the information on the guy. It annoyed me so much. Not a single lead, to who he is, if he has bodyguards, and where he lives. I felt more frustrated than I ever have felt before in my life.

Then, when I was just about to quit, and head off to the hotel, I saw someone, emerge from a dark alleyway.

'I've heard, you need info, on some guy,' the person said. 'Hear you're an as.sas.sin. You want the info on some target of yours. You want it, I've got it.'

I took out a flashlight I had with me and shone it over where the person was. The bright, yellow light fell upon the young face of a girl. Her hair was dyed silver and was drawn back into a ponytail. The girl's eyes were midnight blue, and held a seriousness beyond her age, which was one year younger than me, who was fourteen. How could this thirteen-year-old be of any value to me?

The girl stared at me, with those scary, dark blue eyes of hers, evil compared to my own blue eyes. 'So, what are you waiting for?' the girl asked. 'Let's get down to business, shall we?'

((Finally finished. Took such a long time.))

((I decided to change the font size.))

Chapter Four

I walked beside the strange girl, through the darkness. She didn't say a word, and I decided not to either. Only the sound of footsteps could be heard now. Then I decided to break the silence.

'Who are you?' I asked, desperately wanting to know who I was dealing with.

The girl turned to me, her midnight blue eyes flashing.

'I have no true name, as I was cast out onto the street, very young, but I am known by a name that people gave to me, mostly people that hunt me down, wanting to get a reward for my capture. It is the Lilac Watcher,' she said, then turned her face away from me again.

Hmm... The Lilac Watcher? I knew of this as the name of a cunning criminal in this city, and that no one knew what the Lilac Watcher looked like. I hadn't expected the criminal to be a young girl, but I should've learned to expect the unexpected by now.

'Really? You're the Lilac Watcher?' I asked, brushing the hair out of my eyes. 'I expected you to be-'

'Not a girl?' the Lilac Watcher said, her eyes flaring in annoyance. 'I get that all the time, though you should know that I'm a girl. After all what boy is named the Lilac Watcher?'

It was true. Nobody that was a guy would want to be caught dead, having the name of the Lilac Watcher. I dipped my head, embaras.sed.

'Yeah, I wasn't thinking,' was my reply.

The Lilac Watcher gave a sniff of disdain at me, like she was some spoiled rich kid, which she kind of was, since she was one of the best criminals around, alive, and I was just an as.sas.sin, only on my first major as.signment. I heaved a sigh, and closed my eyes for a moment. I was dying of boredom. When were we going to stop and talk about my target?

The Lilac Watcher looked at me for a moment, and grinned at how impatient I was acting. She rounded a corner, and walked into another alleyway.

'My hired guys are here,' she said in a low voice to me.

I nodded, once again showing how I wanted to get this over with already. I was getting ready to yawn, from wandering through the streets all day. The Lilac Watcher approached a wall, with a carving of a knife on it. She touched the carving, delicately, tracing it, and muttered a few words under her breath, a p*censored*word. A section of the wall moved away, revealing an entrance, with a flight of stairs, leading down. The Lilac Watcher flashed me a gleaming white smile.

'So,' the criminal said. 'Let's go in, and see what dirt we've got on this guy, shall we?'

The beautiful girl then, stepped forward, and started down the steps, with me close behind.
