Some of you may remember me before the new Res was released, having a forum for about three months or so in the summer of 2011. I was offering 'Beasties' as adoptable creatures here. Some of you may remember the Orysis, Kindlebelle, Kindlepaw, etc. To refresh your memory, my shopkeep in my rancher shop is my Kindlepaw Beastie I had made.

I'm coming back, and plan to offer these old creatures again, with some slight twists and enhanced art and ideas. Last time, this adoptable corner of mine grew so very large, and I needed help. I am looking for a job again, so my schedule is erratic, so I'm going to try to keep up with my time and projects to make sure I don't overload myself, or keep people waiting too terribly long. I really enjoyed doing these adoptables last year, and I want to do them again.

I've lost and forgotten alot of the details I put into the adoptables,however...so I'm going to ask for pricing ideas by posting some art examples. Well, I'll post one, and then post one of my beasties from back in the day to refresh any memories.

TOP:: A Creature I drew called a Meeroo. If anyone here plays a game called SecondLife they probably know what it is. I did not design this creature. It was fanart.

BOTTOM:: A creature called a Kindlepaw. One of my 'Beasties' that I created.

The top picture, is my most recent work. I've improved quite a bit, in my opinion. And can do many various styles...That pic is from November of this year, so I will make my creatures in this manner,of course. I now work with Paint Tool SAI, which was a godsend for me, considering I cannot draw digitally, but I can ink and color this way.

I'm afraid, if you do remember the old Beastie models, those creatures won't be coming back. I lost the art files for those long ago, and you can consider them retired versions. Those of you who own them can consider them legends, for I will never create anything from them ever again. I can only work with the new creations I come up with...

So, I ask for pricing help. I will need help with the hatching of the 'Beasties'...and of course, the various items that enhance the appearance or alter it according to the consumer's wishes. I will have something that changes their pattern to the buyer's wishes, something that changes the species,...something that changes the color scheme, something that allows the buyer to request accessories to be put onto his or her beastie, and something that will allow them to breed two beasties.

So yeah...throw prices at me on what you think my art, and the adoptables aide will be worth. Because I forgot what I priced them last summer....

Thank you for yall's info. I greatly appreciate it. 500k a piece hm? That actually sounds about right but I can't remember exactly what I used to price them... I'll be waiting for more responses, and also thinking of price ranges using the hints given to me as I create the first set. When I release them I'll offer three different species at first. Here's hoping I get some interest when they are released!

These are awesome. Very cute. I'd pay maybe 500-600k for one, depending on detail/shading and whatnot :3

I am working on finishing up the first three species, and I think I'm going to price them according to their detail/difficulty to draw and color completely. For instance, I've one that was very simple, and will most likely remain simple aside from maybe detailed markings in later batches, or in the current batch, one beastie also that was slightly more detailed and difficult to draw but not as simple as the other...And one that is very detailed.

At first I wasn't going to shade them as I continued to work on them, because I am now realizing how long it takes me to finish them, even without having a job at the moment, but I think I'll go ahead and shade them lightly simply to make them look a little better...I just will have alot of work to do if people order alot of breeding/enhancements to the creatures. I'll have to work in moderation, and set up only like 3 slots at a time, and a waiting list or something.

If anyone wants hints, just to heighten the suspense, one is avian-like, one is rodent-like, and one is reptilian-like so far.

EDIT:: I'm applying a light shade to them. Nothing too detailed. I will save the hardcore work for actual commissions and stoof.

I've put them up in the commish forums. The Beasties are now back up and running with 9 available eggs to choose from.
