I'm 12 years old and I'm currantly 8 stone, so that's fat. How do I lose weight, I don't wanna eat fruit/vegetables or diets that don't work no diet at all, and I can't go to the Gym i'll end up killing myself on the treadmill and I can't do pushups either no exercising i'll be embarresed. Of course i'll eat less junk. I wanna drop 6 stone from 8 stone and can you tell me how? and I can't starve of course not i'll give in easily.

And please no suggestions for eating healthy I do eat my vegetables on the plate and I don't like plain diets and I don't like fruit those can just get you in shape.

Talking a walk helps a lot, and as much as it is embarrasing, pushups and situps really do help. Those you can do when no one else is around, and doing those early in the morning and late at night helps to keep your metabolism going. I know theres more, but Im not exactly an expert ^^' but I do have a friend who is, so this is where Im getting the info from :P

-edit- Also, if it makes you feel any better...I was pretty big at 12 and still am..-cough14stonescough- Just keep walking and eating healthily and in portions ;P

I had the same problem when I was twelve, I'm fourteen - technically fifteen - and still have this problem.
At that age, if you don't have a natural high metabolism, your body starts to get... Chubby. Mine did, and I'm still working on myself.
It actually starts in middle school. What happens is you have a growth spurt. Your all small and chubby and all of a sudden you grow tall fast. So, you'll thin out. I'm not saying you'll all of a sudden have the perfect body, but you'll thin out a bit. So don't think you'll be like this forever, especially if you start working with yourself now.
Instead of having a diet, think of it like this. Have less portions. There is nothing wrong with having a pizza but instead of having two or three try one. There is nothing wrong with having chips, but instead of just having a whole huge bag with you, eating as much as you want, have a bowl to measure how much. That's not dieting. Thats portions. That is something everyone should do.
Also, eat more frequently with - like I said - less portions. Like this:
Meal one (Morning): Breakfast.
Meal Two (Maybe, two hours later):A small portioned snack. Like a yogurt, or half a sandwich INSTEAD OF A WHOLE.
Meal Three (Afternoon): Lunch. - like I said, maybe HALF a sandwich. Don't waist the extra hundred calories on two slices of bread, when you can have one.
Meal Four (Again, two hours later): Another SMALL portioned snack. Maybe graham crackers and milk, though be careful with how many crackers you have. They are extremely high in calories.
Meal Five: Dinner.
If you HAVE to have desert, measure one cup of ice cream. And have self control to not have more. Soon, after you have that much, you should try to have self control to no sweets at all for desert. But again, your only twelve. Be healthy, but don't be miserable.
Don't eat after 8:00 PM. Maybe not even after 6:00 PM.Because then you just sleep with the food laying there, not burning off. You want to eat more during breakfast, and less during dinner.
One more thing for eating. Drink water. I drink at least 10 cups of water a day, and that is what keeps me from gaining since I haven't worked out in a while. It drains your system and definately is good for you. Even people that don't try to lose weight should have atleast have their body wieght of water. Just remember that ;) Most. Important. xD

For excersise, I'm the exact same way. I haven't worked out in two weeks because every time I go downstairs, my mom is down there. Does she think I can just work out with her right infront of me?
Swimming is an amazing work out. It works your abs, arms, legs. Everything.
Push ups aren't so bad. They work your abs the best. That's what I plan on doing now when my mother is all in my work out zone space D:
Maybe even get a work out video that you keep for only when no one is around.

Sorry I ranted. I just have the exact same problem, and I know how it feels D:

^ This. ^

Portion control and cutting the junk out of your diet along with light excercise is the way to go. It's low impact and doesn't take that much effort (in other words good for lazy people like me rofl).

Also, you don't need to hardcore excercise to lose weight. You would not believe the wonders taking a walk on a regular basis will do, even if it is just around your block. Seriously.

Edit: It also really helps to lose weight with someone. Having two people helping eachother stay on on track is a wonderful motivater, especially when you're first getting into the habit of things. And no, no one looks stupid getting excercise. Don't be embarrased about going on walks by yourself/with other people.

At your age I don't think you should be worrying too much about losing weight, especially not 25% of your current body weight. Your body is still growing, and, who knows, you might grow into your weight. But regardless of whether you need to lose weight or not, it's never a bad idea to start introducing healthy habits into your life. Some of these things might be difficult since you're young and still largely at the mercy of your parents. Just do your best, and of course good health can be a pretty convincing argument.

Eat healthy food and don't stuff yourself. Eat enough to get yourself full and then stop. Don't eat if you aren't hungry. Never starve yourself, though. If you need to snack, snack healthy. Celery with peanut butter, fruits, veggies, whole grain, etc. Don't worry about crazy diets at your age. Just get into the habit of eating healthy, that's all you need.

Light exercise is good. Exercise releases endorphins, which means that it makes you feel good. I understand it hurts but, as they say, "no pain, no gain." If you exercise often enough, even if it's something as simple as taking a walk like SaruSaru suggested, I guarantee you will feel healthier and good about yourself. Just don't overwork yourself.

Perhaps most importantly work to keep your stress levels down. Don't let school stress you out, try not to do things at the last minute. Get a good night's sleep. Try to get to bed early and get up early. Don't stress about your weight. And of course, don't stress about change either. Start healthy living gradually. Good luck

I'll tell you what works for me : Jumping Rope! c: It may sound stupid, but it really keeps you in shape!!! I got that from one of the Victoria's Secret girl a few years back. I tried it, and I'm still doing it! :) Hope that helps! (Plus, it's way more fun than sit-ups or push-ups! xD)
