It was bright and sunny out. The air was cool and smelled of flowers and other sweet things. A butterfly had the audacity to flutter by, carried on that sweet, terrible, breeze. The casket was sitting there, filled with the body of a child, not yet old enough to die. Not yet, not yet. Tears came forward and stained Millie's small cheeks. She hated the day, the bright sun and the cool, delicious air. Her friend was dead. The earth should be grieving, but it was celebrating. Like that angel, that man who ferried souls to the afterlife. He had celebrated too, seeing the frail girl named Kaeyla's even slighter soul.

Millie couldn’t help hating him, he didn’t understand how sad it was the fact that Kaeyla  was gone, he thought it was best she was in heaven where she couldn’t be hurt anymore but that wasn’t true, Kaeyla should be with Millie playing on the swings at the school like they did every day before heading to the ice-cream parlour.

But everything was different now, Kaeyla was gone and Millie had survived the situation, Millie was confused, why did she survive. She was there in the school when the situation happened but she was still standing alive.

She was right next to Kaeyla, she saw the angel appeared and she was hurt too but he only took Kaeyla, he only took her. Millie was confused why he didn’t let Kaeyla get medical help and have a chance before taking her away.

After the funeral, Millie walked off and only the male angel was there, his name was Andrew. She hated him, she walked over and slapped him one. Andrew looked surprised at her as she stood there crying hard and she screamed, “I hate you! I hate you! She was my best friend Andrew she was my best friend!”

She run to her mother Monica who couldn’t bear to say anything about her hitting Andrew, she knew that Millie was just upset.
