I'd just like to get some good titles, is all. There hasn't been anything in the cinema that's worth watching of late, so I just want to know if there are any great movies I missed out in the past.

Genres I don't watch:

• Horror/scary movies (I'm sorry, it's just wasted on me, I don't get scared and I never understand the storyline)
• Chick Flicks
• Non stop action (as in movies that have a load of fight scenes and barely have any storyline whatsoeveer)

Some of my favourite movies include (just to get an idea of my taste):

• Spirited Away (in fact most of the Ghibli movies)
• Persepolis
• Departures
• Mirror Mask
• Pan's Labyrinth
• Paprika
• The Good, the bad and the Weird (even though it's just a ripoff of The Good, The bad and The Ugly xD)
• Au Revoir les Enfants

Serenity is good, it's one of my favourites, though it does fall into the sci-fi/western/horrorish genre. it's been out since '05, so it's not really at the movies anymore apart from when fans organise screenings to raise money for charity.

Vanilla Sky (even though its got tom cruise in it, give it a chance.) 

True Grit (Coen Brothers version)

Princess Mononoke

Good Will Hunting

I've seen a bit of Akira, forgot why I didn't finish it. I have also watched Princess Mononoke (actually, I've watched all of the Ghibli movies apart from From Up On Poppy Hill) like a bajillion times. Anyways, I got called a hipster by people on the shoutbox because of my taste in movies. IT'S NOT BEING A HIPSTER, YOU GUYS JUST DON'T KNOW ABOUT ARTHOUSE D<

I also think the Academy Awards suck, they don't give the awards to the films that deserve them. I feel that the Palm D'or or the Golden Bear better represents a good film. I mean, have you watched the Hurt Locker? xD

I'd love for you to add more to the list guys. Dead Alive looks hilarious by the way
