WARNING!!

There is talk of "swear/cuss/bad" words ahead. If you're parents don't want you talking about these words or if you yourself find the topic offensive, do NOT go any further! I am simply wanting opinions on this topic and just to talk about it. If you get offended please leave and do not start drama.

---------------------------

In general, I like to think of things from their begining, which is kind of funny because I don't care to think about the human races' begining, but anywho, I was thinking the other night about "curse" words. My thoughts went from how many there were, to their origin, to my final thoughts of, who thought of themself so important that they could give meaning to these few words and make that meaning a horrible thing? Now I know that society as a whole was the one that ultimately gave these words their meanings, but who came up with them and who was the first person to, for example, say "Hey you! You are an as*s and I don't mean a donkey!"

well alot of swear words are just actual words with meanings, that people use in horrible ways. like a dratsab (spelled it backwards) is the mening of a child that`s parents were not married when the child was born. hctib(again, spelled backwards) is a female dog. and there is one that means pregnant camel. and of course xes (spelled backwards) is were a man hgkhkgkhjghhjkhhk`s a women. sorry if this is a tad bit rude and spamming, but seen as there are small kids on this site, i had to improvise.

I know that some of them are just words that some people gave a bad meaning to, but what I want to know is who deemed those words bad.

I just thought of this. It might be common sense to some, but not me, but why do we even have a rule in schools not to swear? They are just words and I can think of a few words that people accept that can be more hurtful or offensive than "curse" words.

So because a word makes a certain sound, we can't say them in school?  That doesn't mkae sense seeing as there are loads of words that end with those sounds or have them in it.

tihs backwards is actually an acronym for something, though I forget. owo It literally had to do with turd though, so I can easily see why it's used in an offensive or vulgar manner.

That I can too Dust, but what about some of the other more offensive ones? Calling someone a female dog, the meaning of hctib, isn't offensive, so who gave it a meaning that was different or first took it offensively and decided to spread it that way.

It's a good question. xD An interesting one. ~ Cracked.com has a good article on a few everyday words that have criminal origins, and by the looks of it many words that are demeaning nowadays (or even some that aren't but used to be) were just changed and used differently by nomads. Not always, but often.

Those nomads used to be called hobos actually. xD Guess that meaning has changed too lawl.
Things like punk, which used to mean rape slave, and geek, which was sideshow freak.

As for other ones, I really have no idea. Might do some research later. xD

I think you should, Toxi. It's got a lot of cool stuff, even though it's a comedy site. x3
